'Thoughts'

Disclaimer: It's still in the summary

Kagami leaned against the bench he sat himself on, slightly wet from the tips of his hair to the soles of his shoes. He let out an aggravated sigh and closed his eyes letting the gentle, warm breeze pass over him smoothly. It had been about thirty minutes since his phone call with Hyuuga ended and he was just waiting.

Kagami slightly jumped when a hand landed on his shoulder suddenly, but he quickly recovered grabbing the offender's arm and twisted it in painful way.

"Ow ow owowowowow! Kagamicchi, let go!"

The redhead opened his eyes that were shut throughout the whole 'attack' and found Kise at the other end of his death grip. Shaking his head, the teen released the other, not caring how he ended up afterward, and stretched his limbs, yawning loudly. A hand reached behind his head and scratched thoroughly as he watched the Kaijou ace semi-lift himself up from the ground. The blond turned and gave him a look as he rubbed his wrist harshly.

"Really, Kagamicchi?!" Tears of the physically hurt variety streamed down his face comically. The redhead stared at the other stupidly processing the situation in his head.

"Ah, sorry."

"You don't even care, do you?!" The blond shot up from his spot with wide eyes looking on accusingly to the Seirin ace.

"Where are the others?" He brushed off the accusation turning away from the hysterical model in favor of looking around for the others.

"Are you ignoring me?!"

"..." The Kaijou ace slumped his shoulders at the lack of response and sighed heavily.

"They're right behind me. Probably in that pond type thing still with all the statues. They told me to come and find you and the other guy. Where is he anyway?" Kise explained, rolling his shoulders back from stiffness. Kagami rose a brow in a questioning manner but left his curiosity alone for the time being. A throbbing vein appeared on his head not a second later, a full comprehension of the words thrown into the air finally sinking in his skull.

"His name is Mitobe, he is your senior so respect him, and he's waiting for all of us at the door." His words were spat out of his mouth viciously as he tried yet failed to keep a lid on his short temper. Standing, Kagami brushed past the other teen heading for the stairs that led to the others.

"At the door?"

"I'll show you in a minute. Come on." The redhead shot over his shoulder coaxing the blonde to follow. A frown etched itself on Kise's face but reluctantly went after the other anyway.

"*cough**hack**wheeze*Pfft!" Takao struggled to get his breath back as his lungs shrunk from the lack of air he had. He became dizzy from not having enough in his system and an attempt to stand and look around made it worse. With one hand on this knee and another clenching his shirt where his heart was supposed to be, he stopped and tried getting air in his lungs. Finally able to breathe again, Takao gazed around and found the others having just as much of a hard time as he just had if not more. Behind him, he could hear Koganei practically curse the guy that sent them all this way.

"There is no way that guy is a priest!" Takao could only snort as if saying 'you're right about that'.

"He needs to know the difference between baptizing and drowning someone!" From the corner of his eye he could see Murasakibara nod in agreement from his bent over position.

"Tell me about it."

All eye turned to the familiar voice of Kagami who was sitting on the stairs leading out of the pond they were lying in with a dull look gracing his features and an arm supporting his head propped on his knee. Kise stood behind him with a worried smile on his lips while he waved his hand at them slowly.

"I found Kagamicchi…." Kise spoke out nervously before his smile dropped and he jogged down the steps into the water and up to his former captain to help him stand. Akashi brushed him off and attempted standing on his own,

"I'm fine Ryouta-,"

Only to have slipped and stumble from a lighthead. Kise held onto him again, balancing him on his feet before letting go and heading to his current captain and doing the same. Kagami sighed and stood noticing how much he's been doing that lately.

"If all of you are okay now let's get a move on. You guys need to see this." Pressing forward, the teen ascended the steps with the others moving behind him at a more slow pace helping some to their feet that needed it. They maneuvered around the corner that Kise found Kagami and stopped in their tracks. There, a few feet away from the group was massive double doors standing strong and tall. The tall teen continued on, scoffing at the others behind him.

"I had the same reaction." Midorima shook his head out of his awed-reverie and eyed the Sierin ace.

"What was it you were going to show us exactly?" Skepticism laced his words and a brow rose on his forehead. Kagami glanced over his shoulder before pushing open the door, revealing the other side. Kise and Aomine, to say the least, choked on air at the sight as the rest dropped their jaws or looked on in awe.

"It's HUGE!" Koganei pointed out the obvious as they each saw buildings upon buildings floating, it seemed like, in midair. It was a more western look Akashi noted though it was far more old fashion than recent times have shown. It was almost as if the time-zone stayed in one place, no later than the 1930's at most.

"W-where are we?" Furihata gaped at the sight amazed.

"COLUMBIA!" Just at that second, Himuro rushed past the others glowing at the sight before him. Kagami smiled slightly at his brother and looked out to the buildings in a calm manner as well.

"Yeah; I can really believe that it exists either. To think it was right here this whole time is…"

"Unbelievable!" Himuro breathed as Kagami nodded.

"And my phone has a camera on it. Think about it, Tatsuya; we happened to stumble across the one thing that America has been looking for for years and we can come back with proof!" Himuro hummed in agreement.

"A piece of American history, found…..What's it doing hovering over Japan?" The two brothers turned a questioning glance at the natives behind them. The majority of the shrugged while the others grunted in confusion. Kagami and HImuro turned to each other before whispering harshly into their opposite's ear.

"So thisis Japanese secrecy?!"

"Calm down, Taiga. They look as clueless as we do."

"WE'RE RIGHT HERE YOU KNOW!" Sierin had to screech at the two (on behalf of the group) who thought it would be appropriate to off the Japanese population. They may have been speaking English but the others were smart enough to put together the bits and pieces.

"Maybe you're right, Tatsuya."

"WHO CARES?!" Hyuuga, at that moment, thought it was smart to kick their ace straight in the back and send him flying forward.

"DON'T TALK AS OF WE'RE NOT STANDING RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" The captain continued only to be sent flying himself be none other than Koganei and he rushed by in a blur.

"MITOBE!" True to the forward's cry, Mitobe was silently standing off to the side yet to be noticed until then. Heads swiveled in that direction as the fallen redhead tried but fail to stand to his feet. Currently, Koganei was shaking the center's shoulders back and forth roughly while saying how worried he was when he saw the teen being shot into the sky. Seeing that the group found what they were looking for as of four or so hours ago, Fukuda thought it a great idea to bring up yet another problem.

"Um Kagami," said teen looked at the other with a questioning glance,"how do we get down from here,...exactly?"

Good point.

The redhead stared at his teammate for a second, not quite getting what he was asking then realization struck him.

"Oh! Hold on." The ace, still down from the kick, crawled over to the edge and lied there. Himuro was about to ask what in the world he was doing when the platform shook some and moved forward to another waiting below. A bridge connected them both and made a path they all could walk across. A look over his shoulder asked if the boy was satisfied and then he swung his legs over on the bridge and stood.

"Alright, gentlemen, let's go!"

Walking the town had to be the most astonishing yet nerve-wracking experience of Midorima's life. If he was right then in this time period the American's were…..apprehensive when it came to 'different' races. The teen tried to stay as calm and collected as possible but was failing miserably because of how stiff and rigid he looked. Takao had this horrible 'WTF' expression on his face as he stared at his friend.

"...Why do you look so stiff, Shin-chan?!" Midorima quickly whipped around to his teammate with wide eyes and shoved his hand over the other's mouth. This action was also accompanied by help from the two Japanese-American's who, too, had just realized their mistake.

"...D***."

"Well this is just great." Kagami huffed from the other side of a changing room in a small clothing shop they had come across. The redhead noticed that they were receiving some strange looks since stepping into the store but didn't really care for the moment. What he was worried about was his friends getting the worst of their 'visit' in Columbia. If what he, Midorima, and Tatsuya were all thinking was on the right track then the only people who would be able to leave this island when this whole ordeal was over would be him and Tatsuya themselves. The only way they were going to survive here was to blend in as much as possible and the way they looked now was not cutting it.

Akashi, though as smart as he was, became lost for a minute. Just a minute though. From the way Midorima was acting when they got off the platform to the way he and the two aces from their respected teams reacted against the Takao guy when he spoke suddenly. He only then got what they were doing when they got the stares and heard the whispers.

"What did that boy just say?"

"I don't know; couldn't understand it."

"Maybe he was talking too fast. Bet even his friends couldn't understand him. "

"And what's with what they're wearing?"

"Don't know; never seen it before."

He then understood the situation they were in within those few sentences. It was then that the Himuro person suggested, in English, to go get some changes of clothes. Of course they were going to stand out in a place that succeeded from America in the 1960's. Plus they were Japanese….

'I don't think so.' Akashi was not about to risk his chances of rescuing his former teammate by being stupid for a split-second and being caught like an idiot that thought that a place that had disappeared for the longest was in the present with the times when it obviously wasn't. Not today. The first step was getting new clothes. He had to give the Seirin ace credit; he was smart when the situation called for it. The Himuro guy, too.

"Alright, gentlemen, you all are dressed appropriately-" Himuro started and Akashi looked down at his attire. He wore a grey pair of trousers with overall straps going over the crisp, white dress shirt and a striped grey vest. Looking over to the others, he saw similar clothing being worn by them.

"-and let's put your communication skills to work. Let's go! That person went to find a place for us to stay." Gathering the bits and pieces of the statement and stringing them together, they began walking out of the store and standing out front waiting for the shooting guard to pay for their clothing. Where he got the money, they couldn't even fathom. Exiting the shop, Himuro felt his pocket vibrate and he stood still. Looking back and forth, Himuro motioned for Murasakibara to cover him while he checked his phone.

About 4 blocks from where you are.

A two story.

Says Fritter on the name plate.

You can't miss it.

-Taiga

The black-haired teen nodded and shut off his phone quickly telling his teammate the coast was clear. Leading the pack of teenagers to their destination, They all found the redhead leaning against the brick wall of the home. Walking up to him, he stood and began explaining things on their way in.

"This was the cheapest place that I came across that would take all of us in. Though I told the landlady that we would all sign in when everyone arrived. I was trying to think up names before you all showed up." They both nodded at each other and pulled the group to a corner and began speaking in low whispers about their situation.

"Okay, listen guys, we are not in the best position here. For those of you who don't see it yet, up here they are behind as in so far behind that all kinds of Rights and Revolutions don't exist. Coloreds and other races are ridiculed still and they hold grudges against some countries for what they did against America. Germany and Japan especially." Pausing Himuro stared at the faces around him seeing if they understood. Seeing that they did, Kagami picked up where he left off.

"You are not welcome here; we are not welcomed here." The seriousness in his voice demanded that they listened no matter how stupid it was to believe. "If any of them find out what you are, who you are, they will come after you. They will hurt you. They. Will. Kill. You. Do not give them that chance. We are here to find Kuroko, grab him, and get out. Nothing more, nothing less. Just stay as low as possible and keep to yourselves. No speaking to anyone, especially Japanese. If you absolutely have to, use what you know about the English language because I know you all have to take the classes. Maneuver you words. If you can't, say sorry and walk away. Don't get in trouble. Does everyone understand?" Looking around both teens saw that they understood what they were going up against. They also saw the slight fear their eyes held and the determination to get their friend back. Grunting in acknowledgement, Kagami glided over to the front desk with the biggest grin he could muster to sign them all in.

"Hello again, Ma'am." The redhead's voice was laced with a fake cheeriness that Kise noticed right away and knew all too well, but went unnoticed by the landlady that looked to be in about her mid-thirties.

"Why welcome back, young sir. Are you ready now for your check-in?"

"Indeed I am, Ma'am. My friends and family just came in."

"So I can see. Well considering what we discussed earlier, all I need are your names and we'll see to finding you rooms." the landlady said with a kind smile. Kagami nodded and gave her a faux concerned smile.

"And you're sure taking all of us in won't be a hassle?"

"As long you all pay for your stay, I don't see the problem."

"That's exactly what I needed to hear, Ma'am. My name is Tyrus. Tyrus Kage, but everyone I know calls my Ty." Said Kagami faking a sigh of relief while introducing himself and the woman chuckled gently.

"I'm just glad I can help you and your family. This is a place of refuge, after all." she explained scribbling down his name.

"What do you mean by that, Ma'am." Himuro came up behind his brother with a smile on his face.

"And who might you be, young sir?"

"This is Tatterson Himes, my brother." Kagami stated pointing to his brother and introducing him. "We call him Tatter for short." Himuro offered his hand to the woman.

"It's a pleasure meeting you, Ma'am, and thank you so much for your hospitality." The teen naturally slipped into the native tongue and shook her hand.

"Oh, it's no problem at all. Here, we help what ever weary traveler we find and give them what they need before seeing them off when they get back on their feet." She wrote down Himuro's alias while explaining the home.

"Of course."

"Now, who else do we have here?"

"Well this big guy behind Tatter is Atticus Murroe and to my left are…."

"I am never doing that again." Kagami moaned throwing himself on the bed he planned to sleep in. He heard Aomine scoff while he set down his bag.

"You make it sound as if you struggled."

"Well you try thinking up fake English names from the older times on the spot!"

"Atleast I could try think up a better name than Dyson Aarrow for goodness sake!" Aomine spat the name from his mouth.

"It was short notice! Besides, atleast I didn't get hassled because of my hair color! You Miracles almost blew our cover! The only normal one among you is Kise!" Kagami seethed sitting up on his bed.

"THAT'S ONLY 'CAUSE YOU'RE WEARING A HAT!"

"YOUR POINT BEING?!"

"Would both of you knock it off!" Midorima threw a pillow at each of the raging teen's faces. "We get it; we screwed up a little…," the redheaded teen scoffed and crossed his arms, "BUT YOU COULD'VE COME UP WITH A BETTER EXCUSE THAN WHAT YOU DID! REALLY, THOUGH, TOXINS?!" The greenheaded teen fumed furiously pointing a finger at Kagami.

'So in the end it's all about you?!' Sierin thought simultaneously.

"SHORT. NOTICE! DOES ANYBODY NOT GET THAT?!" Kagami flared jumping out of his seat in anger.

"Alright, that's enough." Akashi demanded making the room go silent instantly. "We'll fix the problem in the morning. For now we get rest, but before that I'm making one thing clear. Satsuki and Aida-san stay here. There will be no arguing on the subject."

"I object!" Riko shouted shooting up from her seat near the corner. "That is my teammate out there being treated God knows how and I refuse to stay here!" Akashi quickly shot her a glare daring her to say more.

"I said no arguing. You two will stay or so help me I will find a way to make sure you don't exit this house. Am I clear Aida-san?" The Ryakuzan captain threatened. Riko stayed silent and clenched her fists.

"Well, in that case, freshmen you all stay here too." Hyuuga announced sending Kagami in a rage.

"OH NO! You can't make me stay here!" He denied the statement as soon as it left his captain's mouth. "I've known Kuroko too long to abandon him we he needs my help. I'm going whether it's with or without you."

"Taiga-"

"No one is convincing me not to go, Tatsuya! I will find him on my own if I have to." Kagami stood by his declaration not planning on backing down. Himuro finally gave in and looked over to his brother's captain.

"...Alright, Kagami, you're coming, but no one else!" The other Seirin freshman were about to protest, but Hyuuga shut them down immediately. "I said no one else! Don't disrespect your senior's!" the freshman shrunk back defeated.

"No that that's settled, I'm going to bed." Takao yawned, stretched, and fell on his bed instantly going to sleep. Others followed suit as Kasamatsu went to shut off the lights.

"Let's hope we'll have a better start in the morning." he whispered flipping the switch down.
