Cat's POV

Well for the rest of the car ride we just talked about regular getting to know you stuff. Like that, she's a libra and I'm a gemini, not an ideal match but I'll find a way to make it work. She complemented me on how I handled the attempted groping yesterday, thought it was "badass" which it was. Now here we are at the restaurant on our first date and I could not be more terrified. We ask for a seat near the back of the restaurant because we both agreed people suck. We sit here in awkward silence until the waitress comes, "what could I start for you ladies first? We have a very nice selection of wine." She says. Leah and I look at each other, and almost as if we're speaking telepathically we agree that we're gonna see if we can get away with it. "What kind of wine do you have?" I ask confidently. "We have chardonnay, Riesling, Syrah-" Leah gently cuts her off. "We'll start with 2 glasses of Syrah." "Okay, I'll come back with that."

"Have you ever had Syrah wine before?" She asks, she's wearing happiness on her face.

"Um, no I have had Rose wine before."

"Oh, well it's really good, I had some around last Christmas, I think you'll like it." She assures me, I believe her.

The waitress comes back and pours us two glasses of a dark red purplish liquid. "Do you know what you'd like to eat yet?" I'm very hungry.

"I'll have the filet mignon with a side of polenta fries."

"That sounds good, I think I'll have the same thing." Leah answers.

"Okay ladies, I'll have that started for you." She takes our menu's and leaves.

"Ugh, I am so hungry" I comment. "I've barely eaten anything all day."

I take a sip of the wine. "This is really good."

"I told you." She smiles at me.

"So, you go to school on the reservation. Right?" I ask, I hope we'll be going to the same school.

"Yeah, are you going to go there too?"

"Yeah." My face brightens up. "I really hope we'll have classes together." I hope I don't sound like a creep.

"Same here" She smiles. I think she feels the same way I do.

"Who are the teachers to stay away from?" I ask, every school has the teachers you want to avoid.

"You might want to stay away from Mr. Thomas, he's kind of a hard ass, and don't sit in the front of Mrs. Millers class, she's another hard ass. That's really about it. Most of the teachers here are kind of chill."

I nod my head 'yes' and take another sip of wine.

"You might want to slow it down a little bit Cat." She looks at my glass I realized it's almost half empty. "Yeah, you're right." I push my glass away.

"Have you've ever had liquor before?" She asks me.

I answer truthfully, "Oh, yes. I went to parties a lot, I'm sort of a social drinker only. What about you?

"This is only the 3rd time in my life that I've had alcohol."

Cat's POV

For the rest of the evening we talked about our lives, my old friendships, her old friendships, ex boyfriends and girlfriends, (me being the only one with an ex girlfriend) It made me sad when she told me how she was a bridesmaid at her cousin's wedding and that her cousin happened to be married to her ex boyfriend. She said if I'm Honest I didn't really get over it until recently, very recently. We learned each other's favorite movies and singers, and TV shows, ect, ect. Well now here we are on the car ride home, I feel like this night is ending all too quickly. She breaks the silence.

"Cat, what kind of stuff do you believe in?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like, do you believe in supernatural stuff."

"Oh, I guess on some level I do. I believe in aliens, and ghost, I believe mermaids are real too, hell, maybe even little fairy people are real too. Why do you ask." She looks kind of nervous and takes a gulp.

"Just asking, what about werewolves?" She asks.

I tell her what I believe. "Well, I'm not sure, I know about the legends of our tribe the spirit warriors, maybe there true. If they are I don't think any werewolves would be alive today." She looks at me and gives me a very serious look, it's starting to freak me out.

"Leah? Are you okay?" I ask very worried, it's suddenly very warm in the car, I feel the heat radiating from her skin. I put my hand on her shoulder and quickly pull it away. "Leah, your burning. Tell me what's wrong." I say gently.

She takes a deep breath, "Okay, I'll tell you but you have to trust me, it's not going to make much sense though." She takes another deep breath, trying to calm herself down.

"Okay, I will trust you." I find it very easy to trust her for some reason.

"The legends are true."

"What do you mean?" I'm very confused right now.

"About the spirit warriors, the wolf packs and everything, it's all true."

"How do you know?" I think I know what she's getting at but no, it can't be true, it's not possible.

"Because I'm part of the pack. I'm a werewolf, Cat." She takes her eyes off the road, again, to scan my face for the reaction. I'm not even sure what to think right now.

"You mean, everything about it? Like when the 'cold ones' are near then Quilietes phase into wolves and everything? Even the imprinting legends are true?"

She winced away when I mentioned imprinting.

"Everything." She answers plainly.

"And your able to phase into a werewolf?"

"Yes."

I don't even know what to feel right now, then I remember one of the stories, no, Oh my god..."Leah, the legends say that no one can know about the packs unless one of the members imprinted...Did you imprint on me?" I ask very seriously. This can't be happening, maybe I'm dreaming. I pinch myself, nope, I'm not dreaming, this is all real life.

"Yes, I did, I'm sorry, I... don't-" I cut her off.

"It's okay, I just might need to process this a little bit. I still like you, I think your smart, and very beautiful, you have an amazing personality. It's just not everyday this happens." I'm telling her the truth, everything I said is true. The rest of the car ride is silence, I'm still thinking about everything. She doesn't seem very assured, so hoping it will help, I grab her free hand and let our fingers intertwine. As soon as we're holding hands she looks at me, we both smile.
