"PERCY JACKSON?!" I screamed. "THE PERCY JACKSON?! OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD THIS IS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" As I bounced up and down with Khufu on my head, I grabbed Carter's arm, and said, "What the heck are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Carter didn't look too happy about it, but went along anyways.
A few minutes later, I was with Bast, asking her what I should wear. "What about this?" she asked as she held up a leopard print shirt and some black pants. "Cute, but more cat like, in my taste—no offense, Bast," I added quickly. She just smiled. Of course, I had learned who she truly was before we had gone on the train, but after her story about my history. I found it awesome that she was the Goddess of Cats, but cat-like wasn't my style unless I was cosplaying as Hatsune Miku.
"Well, what about something blue?" she asked, searching through my clothes like a maniac. Something told me that she and Sadie never really had dress-up moments together. This made me sad, as they had a weird sort of "mother-kitten relationship," as Bast liked to put it. I took the clothes away from her, and said, "Why don't you go help Sadie dress-up and I'll pick something out?" I asked her, indicating that she better go find her kitten. She smiled, and handed me the clothes, saying, "Thank you, little kitten." Then she left me to decide what to wear.

After about twenty shirts and forty-three pairs of pants later, I had finally decided on a blue Beatles T-shirt, some cute jeans, boots, and my jean jacket. Wasn't my cutest outfit, but I wanted an excuse to wear my jean-jacket. Bast had said Sadie had randomly pulled my clothes out of the Ma'at. How she did that, I will never know.
As I was putting on my boots, a knock came on my door. "Who is it?" I asked in a sing-songy voice. "Zia," said an unfamiliar voice. I shrugged, and said, "Come in."
As I watched, a girl with short black hair and a stern face walked through my door.
"Hi," I said with a smile. "What can I do for you, Zia?" She sat down on my bed. "Carter said that you recognized this 'Percy Jackson' or something, and started squealing and jumping up and down and stuff. I just came to ask, what's with that?"
I giggled, and said, "Well, I never knew that you guys were actually real until about a day ago, so. And I thought you guys were just characters from books."
Zia frowned. "Books?"
"Yeah. This guy named Rick Riordan wrote down what Sadie and Carter had sent on tapes in a scratched up box or something. Then he wrote down the recordings in print. But, everybody thought that you guys were all made up and crap. Boy, were they wrong or what?"
I smiled, zipping up the last zipper of my boots. "But now, I found out that you guys are real. That's why it's a real treat for me to meet Percy or maybe even Annabeth!"
Zia's frown deepened. "Care to walk with me to the dining room? Percy is waiting for you."
I squealed, and took Zia by the arm, speeding towards the dining room.

As Zia and I stood in front of the dining room doors, I said, "Oh, and what's up with you and Carter?" I nudged her arm knowingly as a light pink shade came across her cheeks. I smiled. "You know what, never mind. I'm about to meet a legend, I don't want to bother you with questions 'bout 'cha boyfriend."
Zia blushed bright red as we opened the dining room doors, and started to shriek, "He's not my—" then she looked around. Everybody was staring at me and her. Sadie smirked. They were in the middle of a big ball room.
My mouth dropped open. "How many rooms do you magicians have?!" I shrieked, looking around the room. Amos chuckled. "As many as we need, dear Jayx."
I was about to retort something when I saw him. Perseus Jackson. The son of Poseidon. Slayer of the Hydra. Best friend of Grover Underwood. Boyfriend of Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena. The Lightening Thief. The Son of Neptune.
I averted my gaze to Annabeth, who was standing beside him. My mouth dropped even further, but before I could embarrass myself, Carter came up and stood beside me, saying, "Yeah this place IS pretty big, huh, Jayx?"
I nodded, and walked off with Carter and Zia, sighing as everybody continued chatting. "Thanks for saving my butt back there, Carter. I owe you," I said. I punched his arm playfully. "Hey, um, Zia, why don't you talk to Carter for a second, 'Kay? I gotta go talk to Sadie," I said, winking at Zia suggestively.
She blushed, but before she could respond, I went over to Sadie, asking, "Hey, Sadie, where's Nico?" She shrugged. "He was here an hour ago; he had come in claiming that Percy was here. Then he did that weird shadow-travel thing," she said, shaking her head. I frowned, and said, "Shadow-travel?"
She shook her head. "I dunno." I blinked, and then had a new idea. This dinner thingy had been giving me a migraine somehow, and I needed fresh air. "Sadie, do you guys have a garden on this train?" I asked. She nodded, and gave me directions. I glanced over at Percy, who had been talking with Sadie and Amos and glancing over at me, and said, "Thanks, Sadie."
Heading up the stairs, I breathed out as I opened the latch door on the roof in my room, breathing in the smell of cherry-blossoms and orchids. I smiled. Then I climbed on the roof, leaving the door open, and walked through the garden. Muttering a soft lullaby, I concentrated on lifting the water from the pails into the plants.
"Come, let's sing a little lullaby, come let's sing a little. My baby girl is sleepy, blessed be, blessed be.
"Little spring running clear and loud, Nightingale that in the forest sings and weeps. Hush while the cradle rocks, come let's sing a lullaby, come let's sing a lullaby, come let's sing a little. My baby girl is sleepy, blessed be, blessed be.
"Little spring running clear and loud, Nightingale that in the forest sings and weeps. Hush while the cradle rocks.
"Come let's sing a little lullaby."
As I continued singing, I closed my eyes, and started to twirl around, not noticing the water twirling around my figure as well. Then I sat down, letting the water roll from around me into the plants. As the song ends, and the water fades, I lay down.
The song took some toll on me. But, I have to—"Oh, gods, Jayx, are you okay?"
Oh. "Hi, Nico. Yeah, I'm fine," I said, smiling and getting up off the floor. He nodded, but stood by me, and helped me up. "You kind of scared me for a moment," he said, a look of concern on his face. "I can assure you, I'm perfectly fine," I said. "C'mon, we got a party to get back to. I was just catching some fresh air."
He nodded. We walked back to the room, laughing down the hall and into the meeting thingy. Percy was talking to Sadie, which was setting off Carter, and Khufu had somehow gotten his baboon butt into the punch bowl. I giggled as he looked down, playing with the ice cubes.
Turning my attention away from Khufu, I asked Nico, "Do they, by any chance, have a karaoke machine?" He shrugged, and said, "Is that one?" pointing to the machine that was on a FULL BLOWN STAGE. OH HECK YES.
"YOU GUYS HAVE KARAOKE?" I asked excitedly at Sadie. She laughed, and said, "Yeah, we have karaoke. You don't think that we would be THAT boring, did you?"
"What song are you going to sing?" asked Percy, my TECHNICALLY older brother. I just smiled mysteriously and jumped up on the stage.
