Mack is awakened by relentless ringing of his cell phone. He drowsily answers the phone to receive shocking news that brings instant clarity. He is mobile in an instant, he kisses his wife as he grabs his clothes. Hearing Sterling's voice threw him for a loop. Sterling's voice in relation to Aria is never a good sign. Mack is lost in his head as he drives to Langley. "Be ok A… just be ok." He has been in this position before. He accepts that they have a dangerous job in a dangerous world but this was different.

Mack arrives at the agency. He is met by Sterling and a number of other people at the door of the secured interrogation rooms. Mack follows them into a fortified holding room. As Mack crosses the threshold, Aria comes into view through the glass, she is covered with dried blood and dirt. She looks a mess. Mack has never seen Aria act this way. It's like she is catatonic. She is bound and shackled in place within the room which disturbs Mack to the core of his being. His expression cannot conceal his concern.

Sterling is standing behind him as Mack observes Aria's condition with horror. "Had to sedate her, actually tried to knock her out but it did not go according to plan… gave her enough to knock out 3-200lb men… and all it did was take the edge off." Sterling taps Mack on the shoulder. "She was ambushed… it was a hit." A wave of concern passes over Mack's face at that news. Something feels off... just off with this whole situation.

"Who was she with… she wasn't with the team…" Mack asks without removing his stare from his wayward partner. Sterling pulls on Mack's arm and gives him a knowing look when he turns around. "Quinn?" Is the first name that comes to Mack's head. Sterling nods. Sterling as always been fond of Aria, he does not like to see her this way either. "What happened?" Mack presses for more information. Sterling goes into the details that he knows or at least what he is willing to share.

Sterling hands Mack a cup of coffee as he shares the story of what happened outside of London. The hit was not on Aria… it was on Quinn. The wet team could not have anticipated Aria's presence and they paid with their lives. Quinn never stood a chance. Sterling ends by telling Mack what he already knows. "The cuffs are a measure of protection… when you have drugged an assassin of the skill level of Aria… you can't afford to take any chances." Mack understands what Sterling is saying. An assassin of Aria's caliber can be a wild card, a Bruce Banner kind of wild card when drugged. "You want to see her?" Mack nods in affirmation. He needs to see Aria.

The door swings opened as Mack quietly enters the room. He stops short of Aria to observe her. This ill feeling is something that he cannot shake. Aria always told him to trust his gut. If it feels wrong... it is likely wrong. Aria is sitting on the floor in the room with her knees pulled up to her chest and her head resting on them with her hands linked by multiple sets of handcuffs which are looped around her knees. Mack pulls out the key that Sterling gave him. He kneels in front of Aria as he gently raises her hands so that he can undo the cuffs. Aria's eyes follow him but they are not completely focused. Mack takes in the blankness of her stare. Aria does not move once the cuffs are removed. She remains as she is. Mack sits next to her on the floor, he physically moves Aria so that he can wrap his arms around her. Aria responds to his touch by burying her face into his shoulder becoming quiet and still. "I got you baby girl… I got you." Mack runs his hand along Aria's face pulling her closer.

Vance gets the call from Mack, as does Shelley, no one has been able to locate Eliot to tell him what happened. Sterling surrenders Aria to Mack as Mack decides to take Aria home to her house in Western Pennsylvania. It is the house that Aria uses as a safe house when she is in too deep, even Aria can get into limited trouble among the Amish. Mack knows that Aria will be safe there as he tries to figure out what really happened to Aria.

Shelly and Vance meet him at Aria's safe house. All of them have used this house at one point or another. Vance opens the door to see Aria lying unconscious in the front seat of Mack's truck… either she fell asleep or finally succumbed to all of the drugs that Sterling and company had pumped into her. Mack has no clue as to which answer has a grain of truth.

Mack pulls Aria up into his arms from the truck seat to carry her inside the house. Shelley and Vance have prepared the way for him. Mack carries Aria's limp form through the house to the bedroom. After lying Ara on the bed, Vance and Shelley get a look at Aria covered in blood spatter and dirt. They all exchange a similar look of concern that original crossed Mack's expression when he first saw Aria.

Vance warms some water on the stove so they can clean Aria up a bit. Shelley lights a lantern in the room, taking up a position in the rocking chair near the bed after they clean Aria up. Shelley is going to stay with her for a while since they don't know what the drugs are doing to her and there is truth that you never turn your back on an assassin let alone a drugged assassin. They will take turns on the watch.

Vance and Mack sit down over a beer to talk about what went down at the agency. Vance had received some additional details once Mack had told him what was going on. In the bedroom, Aria begins to mumble and becomes restless, Shelley lies down on the bed with Aria to calm and comfort her. None of them had ever seen Aria this way. She was the one usually bailing them out. It is now time to return the favor.

Shelley pulls her in close, wrapping himself around her like a lover which has the desired effect of calming Aria down. At this point, Shelley figures out that it must be the drugs affecting Aria. Though calm, Aria is mumbling incoherently. Shelley strokes her hair as he tries to make sense of what Aria is saying. He realizes that she is hallucinating. She is reliving something over and over again. He listens closely trying to put the thoughts together. Aria is quite obviously mumbling about Eliot how is Eliot tied to this and why would Eliot ever leave Aria in this state.
