"What?" Daryl asked shocked. The girl started to laugh hysterically and he felt the color rise to his cheeks. She just stood in front of him and laughed until tears ran down her face. By the time she collected herself, Daryl was furious.

"The look on your face was priceless." She giggled as she patted his knee, "But really, take off your shirt and unzip your pants. I need to get to the stiches just below the waist band of your pants."

Daryl didn't move. He just sat and burned holes in her. She was completely unfazed by his glare; she kept a sweet little smile on her face. Finally he gave in and pulled his shirt off and averting eye contact for the first time, he undid his jeans.

"Lay back please." She stood on a crate to his left and started to pull the bandages off. When she had pulled the last of the bandages off, he sat up to see 8 inches of neat uniform stiches.

"The ones lower down are deeper. That's what made you lose so much blood. I just wanted to make sure they weren't inflamed or oozing pus. I'll put some anti-bacterial and more bandages and you can be on your way." She said gently as she started to dab his stiches with the anti-bacterial. Daryl just looked up at the ceiling and didn't say a word. The silence was starting to make her squirm.

"Your knife and crossbow are just behind the counter." She attempted to make conversation but was ignored. But as she got closer to his crotch, it became harder to ignore her fingers on his slightly tender skin.

"Stop squirming. Your making me get this goo everywhere." She said sternly.

"What's your name?" he breathed in an attempt to distract himself from where her hands danced.

"Why do you need to know?" she said without looking up.

"It would be nice to know who helped me out," He said helplessly, "And a name to the pretty face." He laughed, that sounded like a cheesy pick up line. He looked at her and her face hadn't changed.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU ASSHOLE!"

Daryl looked to his left and somehow Glenn had snuck in the store and was now holding a gun to the back of the girl's head. Before he could say anything she kicked back and planted her foot right in Glenn's chest. He dropped the gun and stumbled backward, she sprang into action and kicked him in the shins and then shoved him down. Before Daryl could spring into action, Rick came barreling through the door and tore the girl off Glenn.

Daryl was up and found Glenn under a considerable pile of chips and rubbing his shins. He heard the girl and Rick struggling in the candy aisle and ran to help Rick. What he came across made him laugh so hard his sides hurt. She was straddling Rick with her knees on his hands. Rick was kicking his feet and every time he bucked his hips she slapped his face. Candy was strewn all over the aisle and even on the fighting pair.

"C'mon now Babydoll. Stop hitting him, he's my friend. They both are." Daryl managed as he walked up and helped the girl up and then Rick.

"Daryl? What happened? Are you okay? Who is she?" Rick questioned frantically. He searched Daryl's face and furrowed his brow when he seen the stiches going down the front of his body.

"I'm fine. We had a…misunderstandin'." Daryl said as he turned around to follow the girl back to the front of the store. As the girl reached the end of the aisle Glenn finally got up. Glenn froze when she walked by and stared back at Rick and Daryl as they walked towards him.

The girl went behind the counter and disappeared for a moment but returned with Daryl's crossbow and knife. She set them on the counter and remained behind the counter.

"Are we leaving?" Glenn asked. Daryl looked back at the other two and nodded his head. Both Rick and Glenn walked out of the store leaving just the girl and Daryl in the store.

"I'm leaving now, if that s'okay." Daryl murmured to the girl on the other side of the counter as he slipped his shirt on. Silently she slipped around the counter and stood in front of him. She looked at him with sad eyes; he couldn't place the look, but he knew he'd seen it before.

Quickly she wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him closer to her. His arms wrapped around her as well and they embraced. He laid his cheek on top of her head and just relished the contact. She gave one last gentle squeeze and pulled away.

"See you on the other side." She said with a smile and sat back down on the counter.
