Blythe rode her scooter through town with Kendra riding along in the basket attached to the front of it. While driving, she noticed the purple bandage on Kendra's knee.

"Did you hurt yourself?" Blythe asked.

"Oh, yes," said Kendra. "I fell off the tire swing. Russell was able to a bandage on it. "

"That Russell. Always prepared," Blythe chuckled.

"He is very nice," said Kendra. "Actually, all of the pets are nice."

Kendra then told Blythe about all of the fun things she did back at Littlest Pet shop. She talked about Minka pushing her on the tire swing, Pepper making her laugh, playing hide and seek with the pets and the big tickle fight they had.

"It was so much fun there," Kendra said before looking up at Blythe with pleading eyes. "In fact, I was wondering if you could ask Claudia if she would let me visit the pet shop again."

Blythe looked down at the little ferret and smiled. She just couldn't say no to that cute little face.

"Of course," she said. "I'm positive Claudia will let you visit anytime you want."

"Thanks, Blythe," said Kendra. "You're the best."

They finally made their way to Claudia's house. It was huge mansion, which Blythe thought looked twice as big as the Biskit twins' house. She picked up Kendra and walked up to the front door.

Kendra was so excited. Her eyes beamed and she had a huge smile on her face. She was looking forward to seeing her owner again. She imagined that as soon as Blythe rang the doorbell, Claudia would answer and be so happy to see her little pet again. She would pick her up in her arms, swing her around in the air, hold her tight and smother her in kisses and promise to never lose her again. She would then hug Blythe and thank her for bringing Kendra home.

Blythe rang the doorbell. Kendra's smile grew bigger and bigger as she saw the doorknob turn and the door opened. But to her surprise, and Blythe's, Claudia didn't answer. Instead, it was a woman that Blythe knew all too well.

"Miss. Autumn?"

"Oh, Blythe, this is a surprise," said Mona Autumn, the fashion queen that Blythe had met multiple times. "I wasn't expecting you for a visit. Unless, of course, I wrote it in my schedule and just plum forgot. I have so much to do in a day, I sometimes can't keep track of it all."

"Uh, no, Miss. Autumn," said a very confused Blythe. "I was actually expecting someone else to answer the door. Unless I'm at the wrong house. Do you know a Claudia Francis?"

"Of course," said Mona. "She's the one who sold me this house yesterday. She was moving to an even bigger house outside of town."

Mona then saw Kendra in Blythe's arms.

"Who's this little one?"

"Oh, this is Kendra," said Blythe. "She's Claudia's pet ferret. I found her lost in the park. I found her address online and was hoping to return Kendra to her."

Blythe then realized that something was wrong when she saw the sad expression on Mona's face.

"Oh, dear," she said. "I think I know what happened. I don't know how to say this, Blythe, but I think little Kendra was abandoned. "

"What?!" Blythe was shocked when she heard that.

"I'm afraid so, "Mona continued. "I've heard this story many times. The owner moves to a new home and can't take their pet with him. So instead of just taking them to a shelter, they just drop them off in some area and leave them."

Blythe was completely shocked upon hearing this. So was Kendra, who could feel tears forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, Blythe," said Mona. " I would take her in myself, but I'm already too busy with my work and taking care of Cairo, I wouldn't be able to take care of her. "

Blythe simply gave a small thank you to Mona, who gave a very heartfelt goodbye before shutting the door.

Blythe then looked down at Kendra. The little ferret's eyes were welled up with her tears, her bottom lip quivering.

"Oh Kendra," said Blythe. "I am so sorry."

Kendra didn't say anything. She just pressed her face against Blythe's chest and began to cry while Blythe gently rubbed her back as she walked back to her scooter, trying to think of something that would help.
