I nearly had a heart attack when I saw I had a comment.
Thanks whoever you are.
Everyone was now positioned at the table with the three men seated at one end and the others at another, no one had noticed they had assembled in to groups. Dean's hand kept drifting to the gun In his pocket just in case these people ,if they can be called that he thought, where planning on harming them. Helena's wound was slowly being healed by what little grace she had.
Piles of lore where pushed to the side of the table by Cat who dumped a large tomb on the polished oak. "We had to contact you because we need your help." Kyle said looking at Rey to continue, she knew more than he did because she was the researcher. Rey visibly changed from flirty to serious "You see there is something that has been found by the demons that could destroy the world, but... Helena knows more than my research revealed." she motioned for Helena, who had been staring darkly at the book as if it had committed some offence. She had taken a chair next to the standing Cat due to her injuries, "Castiel should know about this, he was there after all." she nodded to him but continued, "When Lucifer first fell he was not immediately trapped in the cage, that was an after thought. He created demons as you well know."
Dean's patients started to fade "Just tell us what you want." he snapped and shrank in his seat when Helena glared at him. She stood, and even if she did not manifest her wings her presence alone was frightening. "This information might be useful." She said calm and steely, like a commander. Dean tried not to gulp but nodded with a huff. Helena sat again and continued "He wanted to make stronger, faster demons." she sighed heavily "He was successful. He created the ultimate three." Castiel's eyes grew wide, he knew this. So many of his brethren had been slaughtered in the battle, the demons had loved to rip the angels wings off first mocking them before they killed them.
"The ultimate three?" Sam asked "Why haven't we heard of this, I mean didn't some one record it?"
"Sounds like a comic." Dean mused and earned bitch face number 47 the 'your stupid' crossed with the 'shut up' bitch face. Both Helena and Castiel gave him a glare that could kill. "This is no laughing matter ,Dean. They are fearsome and cruel." cas scolded Dean couldn't help feeling like a child.
"Are you done interrupting, or should I stop talking?" she asked sarcastically but carried on regardless "Anyway, they where indestructible and laid waste to heaven and hell. Lucifer could not control them." She closed her eyes and sighed tiredly "That was the first and last time heaven and hell fought together."
"Wait a minuet." Sam said flailing his arms about in a stop gesture, "I thought Angels and Demons hate each other?" His head was creased in confusion. Castiel looked down as if ashamed "God commanded it." He whispered but everyone heard him, Helena gave him a sympathetic look knowing how hard it was to cast aside old grudges. Helena had been there herself, at the time she was only barley coming out of her teens.
"For months they waged war but more and more were dying and humans were getting hurt in the cross fire." Helena's eyes glazed over as if in memory "In the end it was Lucifer's wife who saved us all." Cas bowed his head like he was praying, to whom no one knew; they already knew God didn't care. Dean's face was scrunched in confusion, since when did the Devil get a chick? "It was said that she gave her pure soul to trap the demons, it turned in to a ruby after." Her voice was low and sad. Dean gave a snort "Ironic isn't it." he said bringing her back to the present, she frowned at him disapproving. "I mean she was pure and he was..." He railed off at her warning glare, as if it offended her more than this faceless woman.
"Well destiny has a twisted sense of humour, I should know I met her once." Rey snorted at Helena's remark about destiny, she distinctly remembers Helena threaten to kill destiny if she let Cat die. Apparently threats work when your a nephilim or should she say if your Helena.
"Anyway she willingly let Michael rip her heart out to trap the demons. When they trapped them the heart turned into a ruby."
"And we think the demons have it." Rey interrupted, Helena finally having enough of being interrupted smacked her across the head. "Ow!" Rey complained loudly and Helena gave her a glare as she summarised "We think they may be trying to find the key." What type of key was it? was it a literal key, no that would be to easy. Maybe it was a spell or another object.
"So you want us to get the ruby back?" Sam questioned. He was lent forward listening intently "I haven't heard this before." In none of his research had he found anything like this, probably no one had recorded it or it was wiped from history. "You wouldn't have. Every chronicling of the war was destroyed and memory wiped clean."Cas replied, so it was the latter. Helena sighed while rubbing her forehead.
"There is no point trying to get the ruby back, they'll have it locked up tight. What we need is your help to find the key and try to stop the demons from getting it." Cat pushed the book over to the boys, "That is the last word of Evana, Lucifer's wife." she said. Dean took a look at the yellow peeling paper nose wrinkled at the smell of rot that rolled off in waves, and pushed it to Castiel. Cas sighed knowing Dean wanted him to translate "The blood of the pure is the key."
