Winston gave Peter and Ray a hand at getting ready for bed, by washing up, brushing their teeth and dressing in their pajamas, while Egon was in the lab going over paperwork.
He was skimming through data, when he heard someone call him in a small sounding voice.
"Mr. Egon," said the voice.
Egon turned to see Peter and Ray as well as Slimer standing by the doorway.
Ray, who was dressed in light blue footie pajamas asked,"Do you think you can read us a story?"
"Yeah, we want a story," said a dark blue and green striped pajama clad Peter.
"Story please Egon," Slimer said pleading.
Egon had work to do, but seeing the faces of the junior Ghostbusters made it hard for him to say no.
"OK, a quick one," he answered.
"Yeah," said Ray and Peter and Slimer all at the same time, as they raced back to the bedroom.

Once Peter and Ray settled into their beds, while Slimer remained floating but wrapped in a blanket, Egon, who entered the room with a book under his arm, grabbed a chair and sat between the two kids.
"Here we go, Dr. Microscope goes to the museum," said Egon showing the book.
"No way, tell a scary story," said Peter.
"Not too scary," said Slimer, as he covered himself with the blanket.
"I want a funny story," said Ray.
"Me to.
Very funny," Slimer added.
The two kids began to banter back and forth as they did earlier in the day.
"Scary," said Peter.
"Funny," said Ray.
"Scary."
"Funny."
"Scary."
"Funny."
Winston came to the rescue.
"How bout a story that's both funny, and scary," he said.
"Not too scary though.
They're kids,we don't want them having nightmares" Egon pointed out.
"I can handle scary stuff," said Peter.
"I can to I guess, said Ray, But it also has to be funny."
"Me to me to!" Slimer added.
"Coming right up," said Winston.
He and Egon told the story of how they defeated the stay puft marshmellow man.
Thankfully, the tale won over the child Ghostbusters as the adult versions of them were mentioned.
"Wow, what a great story!" said Peter.
"Did we really beat a ghost made of marshmellows?" asked Ray.
"We sure did," Winston answered.
"Now it's time for bed," said Egon.
"OK," Peter and Ray replied at the same time.
"Nighty night," said Slimer, who fell right to sleep.
Ray took turns wrapping his arms around Egon and Winston's necks for hugs, while Peter gave Winston a high five and a thank you for the story and just said goodnight to Egon.
Winston then turned out the light, and left the bedroom, followed by Egon, who just as he was leaving, felt something grab his leg.
He looked down to see that it was Peter, hugging him.
Egon couldn't help but smile.
"Night," Peter whispered, before jumping back into bed.
"Night," said Egon as he walked out of the room.
The two grown-up Ghostbusters worked a bit more in the lab, before deciding to call it a night as well.

The next morning, while both the child, and adult Ghostbusters, along with Slimer were having breakfast(pancakes which were requested by the "kids") the phone rang.
Jeanie answered it, the sounded the bell AKA the alarm, letting the guys know there was a job to do.
Luckily Winston had ate the last of his pancake, while Egon gulped down his coffee, before the two got up from the table and headed for downstairs.
Ray and Peter began to follow them.
"Sorry Peter and Ray, but it's too dangerous to come with us on a job," said Egon.
"You two stay here at the firehouse with Jeanie and Slimer, and we'll see you when we get back.
"OK,' said Ray, with a slight pout, as he really wanted to go along.
"Aww no fair, we never get to do anything the grown-ups do," said Peter.
"Yeah, no fair," Slimer chimed in.

Winston and Egon then slide down the pole to the lower level.
"What do we have Jeanie?" Winston asked, as he appoarched her desk.
"Distrubance at a nursing home in Brooklyn, Jeanie answered, Something about a floating clown with an irritating laugh."
"It's the yuckster alright," said Egon, who took the address from Jeanie.
The two grown-up Ghostbusters then got into Ecto-1 and headed off to their assignment, not not before Jeanie yelling out saying that she'll keep any eye on the "kids."

When Egon and Winston arrived at the location which was the nursing home, the head nurse lead them the receational hall.
Usually, the room was filled with it's elderly residents, playing checkers, card games, chatting, or just simply taking it easy.
This time however, it was all kids, playing tag, hopscotch, jacks, marbles, and laughing.
"All was normal and quiet about a half hour ago, when this "clown" appeared out of nowhere and began doing these magic tricks and telling jokes," said the head nurse.
"What happened afterwards?" asked Egon.
"When the patients didn't react, the clown or whatever it was took something out of his pocket, and a puff of smoke appeared.
A few of the nurses and I tried to get a few of the residents out, which we did, but the room was filled with smoke as we were trying to get the others."
Egon took his PKE meter out and scanned the area.
"Yes, the yuckster has been here.
Even though he's not in the room,I'm picking up high signals of energy on the meter," he said.
"Will it be OK, if we try to talk to a few of the residents?" asked Winston.
"Not at all, it maybe helpful," said the nurse, who then lead the Ghostbusters to a young girl about seven years old with blonde pigtails, playing with a jump rope.
"What's your name sweetheart?" Winston asked.
"Mary," the girl answered.
"I see you like to jump rope."
"I do.
Jump-roping is my favorite thing in the world, next to Shirley Temple movies."
"Mary, do you remember what happened awhile ago?" Egon asked.
Mary, who was still skipping rope replied,"I was knitting with Grudtrue and Helen, when this scary clown appeared and began doing tricks.
Nobody laughed, he was a stupid clown anyway.
Suddenly, a takes some dust out of his coat pocket and turned me and everyone around here into kids."
"Thank you Mary.
"You've been helpful," said Winston.
"You're welcome misters," said Mary, as she skipped away.

Winston and Egon asked the nurse if they can do a check around the home to see if the yuckster was anywhere in the place.
She allowed them to.
The two Ghostbusters did a sweep around the building, but there was no sign of the yuckster, nor any signals showing on the meter.
"Chances are, the yuckster may show up here again," said Egon.
Winston handed the nurse a business card and said,"Call us, if it comes back.
And keep any extra eye and the other residents."
"I will.
Thank you," said the nurse, before Egon and Winston headed back to the firehouse.
