Emmett's Point of View

I was still pacing in my dad's office when mom brought a fussing Macyn in. I looked at mom and smiled as Macyn struggled to get out of my mother's arms. I took two steps towards mom and grabbed Macyn out of mom's arms.

"Hey little mamma," I said in a whisper, looking into her electric blue eyes. "I'm your dad, Emmett. Your mamma left you with me, so it's gonna be me and you against the world. I' never gonna let anyone hurt you. Not even your own mamma."

I put my pinky next to her hand and watched her grab it for dear life. I smiled wide as she started drifting off to sleep not even letting me take my hand back. I stopped pacing to sit down and think. I looked at Carlisle for guidance. He shook his head, telling me he couldn't think of anything. I thought for a while before something finally came to mind.

"Dad. I have an idea. Rose was really close to Edward, her older brother. They went to each other for anything. Call him and ask him any questions. Just don't tell him I'm here," I said.

"Okay what's the number?" he asked willing to try anything.

I gave him the number and waited as dad put Edward on speaker never telling him who all was there with him.

"Hello Edward. This is Carlisle McCarthy." Dad started, looking between me and Macyn.

"Hello Mr. McCarthy. How is everything?" Edward replied.

"Everything is fine. I have some questions about your sister."

I could hear Edward sigh and movement near him. That was weird Edward stayed alone.

"Okay. What do you need to know about Rose?" Edward asked hesitantly.

"Do you know of her where abouts?" Dad said bluntly.

"No sir. I do not. I haven't spoken to her in about three weeks."

I felt like he was lying, but I nodded to dad for him to keep pressing.

"Are you sure son?"

"Yes sir. We talked three weeks ago about her going to West Beach for a few days, but she never went or so I think."

"Alright. Contact us if you hear anything."

"Yes sir."

My father placed his phone down on the desk as he let out a sigh. I knew Edward was lying to protect his sister. I got out of the chair I was in and started pacing, trying to figure out this puzzle. I walked for a about a good two hours before I gave up. I looked down at Macyn. She was still asleep in my arms. She had a small smile plastered on her face. I smiled down at her as I made a silent promise to my self and her. I won't abandon her like her mother did, and I will be there for her when ever she needs me. I'm going to take care of my baby girl.
