A/N: Hello, precious angels! How are you doing? I'm so sorry for taking so long, but I hope it was worth it the wait! xx
Chapter 4
They stayed there for a long time, just holding each other until Darren's sobs stopped.
"Darren, we need to go back there. They'll get suspicious."
"Okay, but…do you think we could talk? I mean, after all this-" Darren started to say but was interrupted.
"I'm sorry, but this doesn't change anything. I had to comfort you because you're my friend and I care about you, but w-we won't get back together." Chris told him, his voice breaking a little.
"Oh. Um…okay. I just thought, you know…never mind." Darren said, almost in a whisper.
"Err...you can go first so they don't notice anything, ok?"
"Sure."
Darren started walking towards the cinema with his head down. Why had everything in his life gone wrong?

Thank God Mia hadn't noticed. She just looked at him worriedly but said nothing. Darren couldn't pay attention to the rest of the movie, specially after Chris came back.
When the movie was over, Darren almost rushed to get out of there.
"So..I gotta go, ok? I just remembered I have something to do. Bye Chris." He glanced at the boy next to the love of his life. "Will" He nodded, took Mia's hand and left.
"What's going on, Dare? You became strange after you came back from the restroom and now you left so quickly..."
"Nothing, Mia. Look, I'm gonna get you home and the I'll go, okay? I think I need to be alone. Can you please don't ask anything?"
"...Okay." She replied, raising an eyebrown.

Darren's POV
This isn't fair. For how long am I going to be miserable while I watch him being happy with someone else? I can't do this anymore. I have to let go. It's been a year, for God's sake!
I need to look for happiness without him. I need to accept that it's over and even knowing I can't love someone as much as I love him, I'm still capable of loving someone else...right?
Chris doesn't want me? I can find someone who does.
There's only one way to discover. Get ready, Darren, 'cause your search for happiness starts today. He just had to make a phone call...
End of Darren's POV

"Mia? Do you think you can come over? I need to talk to you."
"Um..ok. I'm on my way."
"Ok, bye."

Not even 10 minutes later, the doorbell rang. Darren took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Hey."
"Hi. So what's up? You sounded so serious over the phone." Mia said, preoccupied.
"Sit down. What I have to say is something serious."
They both sat on the couch. Darren took her hands.
"I-I can't keep dating you."
Mia's expression suddenly shifted.
"What?"
"Mia, we both know our relationship started because my agent wanted it. We were just friends before and I was okay with that. I don't even know why you accepted to be my 'girlfriend'!"
"I-I told you, I've always loved you, Darren. You can't tell me you don't feel the same." She replied, taking her hands away from Darren's and reaching one to cup his face.
"I'm sorry, Mia. I can't take this anymore. It's not fair to you, nor to me. I'm really sorry...I'm gay."
Mia looked at him with wide eyes.
"WHAT? But, Darren, we've had sex before and you liked it. How can you be gay?"
"I didn't. Like it, I mean. I'm sorry, Mia but there's so much pressure...my agent couldn't accept that I was gay and I had to have a girlfriend as a...beard. I'm sorry it had to be you."
"Oh my God, I can't believe Ricky did that! I'm gonna kill him!" She looked away, then back at him. "You're also to blame, you know? How could you do it to us? You know, you might not even be gay, Dare, you're just confus-"
"Don't call me, Dare!" He yelled. The whispered "Please... I just think you should leave."
"Darren, stop, let's talk."
"Please, Mia, go away."
She nodded. "Okay."
The door slammed shut. Darren let out a sob, before smiling slightly. This was his new beggining.

"Uhh, Chris.." Will moaned as he pressed kisses down Chris' jaw and neck.
Chris couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. He didn't know why, though. He should like this. Will was a nice kisser and most importantly, his boyfriend. Why couldn't he just enjoy it?
He isn't Darren.
God, stop thinking about him.
"S-stop" Chris said suddenly.
"What happened, baby? Did I do something wrong?"
"No, it's just...it's me. I'm not feeling very well. I've got a very strong headache. I think you should go. Please?" Being a fantastic actor, he always knew how to pull out a lie.
"Do you need me to take care of you? Or maybe I should take you to the hospital..." Will said, concerned.
"No, it's just a headache. I'll take a pill and get some rest. I'm sure by tomorrow, I'll be better, ok?" He smiled reasurely.
"Ok." Will replied, sounding suspicious.
He pecked Chris on the lips and left.
Chris gave deep sigh before collapsing on the couch.

Darren couldn't believe he was doing this. But he had to. It was the most important part of his new beginning and he couldn't chicken out now.
He walked into that strange place, which seemed to be very discreet on the outside, but on the inside, let's say...it really gave out what type of bar it was.
Yes, a gay bar.
You might think it's weird he hasn't been in one of those before but he's never really felt the need to. He was with Chris before and even after their...break up - it still hurt to think of that word - he hasn't had the guts.
He knew his agent wouldn't let him. It was too risky. People could see.
But today? Today was all about freedom. He was so tired of letting people control his life and of never stop suffering for those who didn't love him anymore - maybe never have.
Anyway, now he didn't have time to think about that. He was going to find someone who'd want him.
Tonight, my friend, is the night.

As soon as he entered, he could see a lot of eyes on him. He ducked his head and blushed.
God, what if they recognize me?
"Hello!" He heard a voice say and was startled by the sudden sound.
"H-Hi."
Said voice belonged to a tall man, with green eyes and dark black hair. Darren had to admit it: he was gorgeous.
"Uh...can I buy you a drink?"
Gee, these people are fast. I barely arrived here.
"Sure."
They made their way to the balcony and ordered their drinks after sitting down on two chairs that were in front of it.
"So...tell me. What's your name?" The man asked, taking a sip from his drink.
Should he say his own name or should he lie. Maybe just the first name wouldn't hurt.
"Darren. What about you?"
"Steve. I've never seen you here before. You seem new here."
"Yeah, um, actually I've never really been to a gay bar before."
"Really? Why is that? You're gay, aren't you?"
Darren snorted.
"Yes, I am. It's just...complicated." He sighed.
"Okay, I'll accept that answer. So, since you're new here, what about I show you how to have some fun around?" Steve smirked.
Darren blushed.
"And how would that be?"
"You'll see!" He winked and took the shorter boy's hands. "Let's dance!"
Well, this night was only starting. And it was going to be a long one, he was sure of it.
A/N: So...what do you guys think? Did you like it? I'm so sorry for the lack of CrissColfer but it had to be this way! Also, I have to tell you guys that school is gonna start soon and I won't be able to write very much, even less than before. I'll try to write when I can, ok? But I can't promise anything, sorry :/
Leave a review? xD Love you all xx
