This may be short but if everything goes according to plan, there MAY be smut next chapter. Very soon at least.
Arthur was upset, (why do travelers have to be so thick as to try and travel in such weather?) until he looked up and spotted the Omega.
Then he was smiling at both the blond Omega and his kin. "Welcome to my pack! You will be allowed to stay until the monsoon week is over. After that all rainfall is not as plentiful or dangerous, so we will not be responsible for you."
The other blond stepped forward and Arthur suddenly smelt the Alpha stench on him. "I am Mathew Williamson and I lead the remainder of the Jones Clan in our travels. Thank you for your hospitality."
Arthur raised an impressive eyebrow "Remainder?"
The Omega stepped forward despite his trembling "My name is Alfred Jones, Sir. Mathew is my stepbrother and the rest of the family is no longer in this world."
Arthur bowed his head slightly "I am sorry for your loss. Please enjoy your stay, if you need ANYTHING don't hesitate to ask."
-Mathew-
"I can't believe the NERVE of him!" Mathew roared as he paced the tent they were given. It was located on the outskirts of the camp just like he had insisted.
Alfred trembled at the Alpha's fury as he sat on the cot, even if it wasn't directed at him. "He's not so bad…"
Mathew turned and snarled at Alfred, making him squeak and cower from the older blond "He was staring at you like a piece of meat! I bet that if you weren't here, he wouldn't give me shelter!"
Alfred held his hands out weekly "I'm sure he's a swell guy, if he's the Lead Alpha he probably only wanted to talk to me at the river."
Mathew, who had resumed pacing, turned again to stare at his little brother "He's the one from the river?"
Alfred ducked his head onto the bed and was quaking in fear at the low angry tone. It was even worse than the yelling. Mathew sighed and ran a hand through his hair, letting it out of his fingers to fall around his face. "I'm sorry Al. He might be a good guy." He sat on the edge of the cot and petted the form of his brother.
Alfred sat up again and wiggled to make room on the large cot for Mathew "Don't judge a book by it's cover. He might surprise you."
Mathew smiled at his brother that he gathered in his arms to lay beside "I still don't like him but I guess I can give him a chance."
Alfred grinned brightly at his brother, no longer trembling, and snuggled into his arms "Good. Now I'm sleepy."
Mathew just chuckled and pulled the cover over them. He listened to Alfred's breaths even out and soon fell asleep himself to the peaceful music that was his brother.
