Chapter 3: Make Amends and Enemies

"Get up, Allen it's morning already." Said Morgan shaking Allen. His response was a grunt and rolled in his bed.

Morgan groan in annoyance, then shook him harder. "Allen come on, I want to eat breakfast."

Allen just mumble five minutes and rolled in his bed again with his back on the mattress.

With Morgans patients going thin, she jump-sits in Allens stomach.

Which only got a grunt from Allen... he was just that of a heavy sleeper.

Morgans eye twitched. How didn't that wake him up? She did not know.

But before she could do anything else. Allens arms wrapped around her back and brought her down to his chest making Morgans face lit up like a Christmas tree.

'Whats going on?!'

Believe it or not, Allen liked to sleep with heavy blankets and pillows. It just felt natural to have weight spread all over him. Whenever he feels something heavy on him he spreads it around him. And he doesn't even need to be awake to do that, it was all automatic to him.

Not that he was awake or aware that the weight belong to Morgan of course.

Morgan having to never experiencing something like this, did the only thing every girl would do.

Slap!

Allen sat right up, holding his cheek with a red hand print on it. "What the fuck!"

It took Allen three seconds to realize, he was holding something heavy. He glance down, staring at Morgan who had a blush spreading from cheek to cheek.

'Ah... shit.'

Allen unwrapped his remaining arm, and rose both hands in surrender.

"I'm sorry..."

Morgan quickly got off him still blushing. Taking a deep breath getting the embarrassment out of her system.

"I-it's fine, can we just... go eat breakfast?"

Allen stretched his arms and legs, earning a few pops from them. "Sure, can you go ahead? See if Brady is already there. I'll be there in a moment."

Morgan frowned, but nodded none the less. "Alright, just don't take long. Okay?"

"You got it."

Morgan fumed, but said nothing leaving the room closing the door behind her.

Allen sigh. Today was the fourth day he came to this world, so far it was definitely more fun than back in his world. He could honestly say he trusts people here more than back 'home'. And more important he didn't need to go to school anymore. Just had to live the life of a mercenary.

His gaze flicks to blue letters in his upper left corner of his visual tunnel.

Shepherds Member Room Floor

It turned out that the Shepherds had a basement, that was use for member rooms. But only 10% of its members were using them for two reasons.

One would be that the rooms are cheap as hell. 100 gold per month, a price many would die for. But the rooms are cheap, because they ARE cheap. The room was 20×20 feet and 10 feet high with only two beds, a closet, and one stool with a candle on it.

In summary... 90% of the members rather pay ten times the amount for a room at an inn than spend a day here.

The second one is... that you need to share the room with another person.

Allens first impression of the condition was...'What in the name of Jesus kind of condition is that?'. When he asked why, their response was... 'rules are rules don't bother asking why.' This came from one of the three recipients on the supply floor.

Just before he called it quits, he saw Morgan giving him signals and mouthing him to accept. Not sure what she was aiming for, but accepted the room. Once they were in the rooms floor, Morgan told him that she was stuck with an old member that gave out deafening snores. He didn't need to question further after that. He shared the misfortune of hearing snores from his parents all the time before he left. After that they shared the room and here he was.

But... before all of that. He needed to fix the issue with Morgan and team Excel. On the way back from the Ekidon forest, Morgan refuse to interact with Owain and Lucina the entire trip back. Obviously still mad at them. He knew this was going to cause problems in the future. So he had to do something about it.

But before he could think anymore, Allens stomach sended a complaining growl to it host demanding its daily fuel.

Allen sigh and got of the bed full in his Myrmidon outfit minus the boots hes putting on. When Morgan question him of not having a sleep were, he told her that he was low on money most of the time was well as sleep outside the forest during his travels. Morgan accepted his answer and didn't question any further.

Now that he had his boots on, he went out the door. 'I'll think of something on breakfast.'

Shepherds Bar Floor

'Alright, now where are those two...'

Glancing from one side to the other Allen got a good chance of getting the bar floor in detail.

There were two bar counters running on opposite sides of the of the floor, stretching far and wide with stools for their customers. The entire floor was fill with tables and chairs of all sizes.

Aside of waiters and a few teams, the floor was pretty empty.

"Good morning Allen."

Knowing who's voice that was, Allen smiled tirelessly and looks at Brady standing with composure. "Morning Brady, were you here long?"

"No, just arrive actually."

"Good to know." Looks around again. "See Morgan anywhere?"

Brady frown, narrowing his eyes scanning the floor. Then stops spotting Morgan sitting on a table near a window.

"Ah there she is."

Allen follows Bradys line of sight, then cocked an eyebrow. 'Eh, her hair combine with the sunlight. Makes her her head camouflage with it.'

The two boys made their way to their third member. Who apparently spotted them, and wave to Brady.

"Good morning Brady."

Brady nodded. "Morning."

Allens stomach choose to make another complain at that moment.

Making Morgan giggle, and Brady chuckle, while Allen rolled his eyes. The two boys sat down before a waiter walked up to their table.

"May I take your order."

Right before Allen asked what they had, Morgan cut in. "We're team Emblem."

Allen looks at Morgan quizzically. Why bring up their team name.

"Rank?"

"E Rank." Answered Brady.

The waiter nodded and walked away.

Allen scratched the back of his head frowning. "Uh what was that about?"

Brady got confused for a moment, then it clicked. Allen wasn't from around there. "The Shepherd teams get free meals daily."

"But the quality and amount depend on the teams rank." Finished Morgan.

Allen held his chin. "So what does our team get at best?"

Bradys lips press into a line. "My guess would be something simple. Like toast, fried eggs, and juice... possibly."

Morgan frown slightly. "We... can get better food but, we would need to pay."

Allen hummed. Then send Morgan and Brady a team invitation.

The Tactician and Priest jumped slightly, when the blue screens pop up. Then tapped accep.

Morgan joined your team

Brady joined your team

"Sorry for the wait." Said the waiter setting three plates in the table.

Turned out that Brady hit a nail. It was a simple meal, consisting of; a toast, fried eggs, and juice.

'Go figure, always right just like his mother.' Thought Allen taking a bite out of his toast. "What do D rank teams get in breakfast?"

The waiter blinked, then shrug. "D rank teams get a pork sandwich instead of toast, and a small salad on the side."

Morgan and Allens eye twitched, while Brady manage to suppress his. Their 'breakfast' was basically saying you're the lowest of the low. Were the maids mocking them? They did not know.

"Is there anything else you would like to order?"

"Three cups of tea, please." Said Brady.

The maid nodded, and walked off.

Allen grumble something under his breath, taking another bite out of his toast. "We've got to find an urgent and raised our rank."

"But didn't… Nikon." Started Morgan with a venom dripping tone, while chewing and egg. "Told us that urgent quest are done immediately."

Brady caught her tone, and looked at Allen for an answer.

"Bad blood." Said Allen bluntly catching Bradys questioning look.

Brady nodded understandably. Then when into deep thought.

Allen sticks an egg in his mouth. "She also said that they rarely show up... but considering with what's happening lately, I'm not sure if that's true."

"It's not."

All attention shifted to Brady. Morgan was the first to ask.

"What do you mean by that?"

"According to ma, E and D rank urgent are held with the quest recipient on the third floor."

Crack!

Both boys sweat drop when they saw Morgans fingers half buried in the table. Her bangs shadowing her eyes, tick marks popping all over her head.

Brady inched away not wanting to be caught in her rage.

Allen shifted uncontrollably. He knows how to deal with rage yes. But he needs leverage in order to come out unharmed. He knew who she was pissed at, but not why she was pissed.

So he did the only thing that would keep him and Brady out of the cross fire...

"Once we finish breakfast, we'll go have a talk with Nikon."

... redirect her rage to someone else.

All the tick marks were replaced with a sinister smile, and glowing eyes on her face letting out a cold chuckle.

"Hehehe, we are going to have a talk alright."

Brady gave him the 'Are you MAD' look. Allen gave Morgan a quick glance and mouth him. 'It was either us or her, what would you have done?'

Brady pursed his lips in thought, looks at Morgan devour her food with the sinister expression on her face. Then mouths back to Allen.

'... point taken.'

"Here's your tea." Said the waiter setting the cups on the table.

Shepherds Quests/Business Floor

'... how the hell am I going to break them up?' Though Allen with anime tears. Brady standing next to him.

Sparks were flying between Morgan and Nikon as they stared at each other.

"Can I... help you?" Asked Nikon narrowing her eyes.

Morgans aura jumped from raging to murderers. "Yes, in fact you actually can."

"With what exactly?"

"Oh I don't know maybe, giving us one of the urgent you kept from us yesterday." The last part came out spat/annoyed.

Nikons eyes widen. 'How did they?!'

Seen her surprise expression. Allen got in the middle of the two before it got out of hand.

"Okay that's enough."

"But she-!"

"Morgan!" Said Allen grabbing her shoulders. "Let me take care of this, okay?"

Morgan just stared at for a moment, then look away puffing her cheeks. Mumbling fine.

Allen inwardly sigh in relief letting go of her shoulders, and turned to Nikon.

"So aside not telling us about the E and D urgent, mind telling us why you kept that to yourself?"

Nikon grumble. "Because your team didn't have the conditions to take it."

Morgan tilted her head, while Allen quirk an eyebrow. "Mind telling us what are these 'conditions' you speak of?"

Nikon sigh, rubbing her templates. "In order for a team to do an urgent it needs the full amount of members, a leader with certain weapon efficiency, and a sponsored."

Morgan blinked then frowned. They had full members, and she was confident in her leader. (After all his game ability makes leaps and bounds for them.) But a she wasn't quite sure about the sponsored thing and, wait...

"What about recommend teams?"

"Exceptions for the number of members only." Replied Nikon bluntly making a tick mark pop on Morgans head.

"Then were in luck because our new friend here wants to join our team." Said Allen gesturing to Brady who approach the desk.

Nikon just blinked at that. "... is this true?"

Brady nodded. "It is, I want to join team Emblem."

Nikon stared at Brady hard then shrug. She went through her desk taking out team Emblems paper placing it in front of Brady.

"Just sign your name and your part of their team."

Brady nodded and signed his name on the form. Once he gave it back to Nikon, Allen took the liberty to ask her. "How does this sponsored thing work?"

Nikon deadpan. "Shouldn't you focus more on your weapon efficiency, than the sponsored?"

Allen scratched his chin. 'Stats.'

"I believe that I have it covered." Hummed Allen.

Nikon pinch her nose bridge, feeling a headache. "Whatever, but without a sponsored give up on urgent."

Morgans hand twitched to her sword. "You never answered his question."

Nikon scoffed. "Sponsored is basically getting a senior full fledged Shepherd to nominate you to take an urgent."

Brady frowned. "That could be a problem..."

Morgan tilted her head to the side. "How so?"

"Senior full fledged Shepherd, are B and A rank members that have a slight authority of lower rank teams."

"What?!" Asked Allen and Morgan.

"He's right." Started Nikon. "A Senior full fledged member are given authority of lower ranks to prevent conflicts between teams."

"Like the brawl of yesterday." Deadpan Morgan.

Nikons eyes narrowed dangerously. "Yes, that's the idea. But unfortunately, were stuck with a generation of idiots."

Sparks flew between the two making everyone else back off.

On the side lines the remaining members of team Emblem were having their own discussion. At a safe distance of course.

"What are your thoughts in this Allen?"

Allen pressed his lips into a thin line. "If the senior members let the brawl happen, then there not a lot of people we can turn to."

Brady nodded, agreeing with what he said. "Then what should we do?"

The truth was Allen already had an idea. But...

"Brady, what do you know of the Great Knight Frederick?"

Morgan was not going to like it...

oxoxoxoxoxo

Shepherds Bar Floor

'Deep breath Allen, deep breath...' Chanted Allen in his head breathing in and out calming his nerves from the ordeal he went through.

Like he thought, Frederick was a strong and respect Sphere know thought out Ylisse. He is was an A rank senior full fledged Shepherd for over 30 years. He has nominate many teams throughout his years, according to Brady. Frederick nominates teams based on skill and teamwork, but that's just what Brady heard.

The problem was that finding would mean finding team Excel. A.k.a Lucina and Owain... not something they were looking forward to, but it is necessary.

When Allen explain this to Morgan, she kept a blank face the entire explanation unnerving Allen to a certain degree. After the explanation was over. Morgan asked Brady if he could give them a few moments alone. Knowing how touchy the subject was to Morgan because of yesterday's events, he wordlessly nodded and left the two alone.

(Flashback)

"Allen, why do you want to find Frederick of all the people? You know hes almost always with team Excel."

Allen sigh, he was not liking this at all. "Morgan... if you have something to say then say it."

Morgan stared hard at Allen for a few seconds before looking away.

"... I hate it."

Allen heard it but didn't say anything. Then Morgan looks deep into Allens eyes. "Every time someone pity's or mothers me. When they look at me like a lost cause. When they comfort me for not reaching their expectations. When they say 'try something else'... I hate it, all of it."

Not breaking his gaze, Allen could see how much hate reflected in her eyes. He could relate to some of if... but not all of it. He has dealt against pity and been a lost cause in his world. He could partially understand her, that much he knew.

"Morgan, what exactly do you want from Lucina and Owain."

"..."

"What do you want to ask from them?"

"... trust that I can take care of myself, that's all I want from everyone."

"Then tell them, the best way to solve a problem is to face it head on. If worst comes to worst, me and Brady will be there to listen."

"... fine... and thanks."

With discussion over, both of them went to meet up with Brady. If Morgan wasn't in deep thought she would have notice how shaken Allen was.

He can deal with rage and anger. Its when people keep a blank face that scare him. Why? Because he'll never know what will happen.

(Flashback end)

"I see them..."

Morgans voice broke Allen out of his thoughts and follow her gaze, finding a mop of blue hair sitting in a table been comfort by her blond companion.

Frederick wasn't with them.

"Wait here, I'll take care of this." Said Morgan or rather told them.

Before Allen or Brady could say anything Morgan walked up to them. Not seen any other choice Brady and Allen just remain standing there.

"Hi..."

Owain and Lucina flinch, knowing whose voice it was. They both slowly turn their heads, and flinch again after seen Morgans bord look.

Lucina swallow a small lump forming in her throat. "Morgan..."

"Lucina... Owain..."

"Morgan..." Said Owain meekly.

Morgan looks around the room. "And Frederick?"

"He's at the supply floor restocking on Vulnerary..." Answer Owain without the usual enthusiasm in his voice.

"I see, thanks." Getting what she wanted she walked back to her team.

"Wait!"

Or tried...

Not turning her body, Morgan looks over her shoulder seen Lucina standing up facing her.

"What?"

"Can we talk... in private."

"..."

"Please..."

"...fine."

Allen saw both girls walk farther from them, to a less crowded place. Then turn to Brady. "Brady, what do you make out of this?"

"Knowing the princess, she'll be trying to sort this problem like always."

Allen quirk an eyebrow. "Sounds like you know her."

Brady nodded. "My ma use to take me to the castle when I was little, we've met in many occasions. But we never tried to know each other really."

"Hi Allen, hi Brady..."

Both boys turn to the blond swordsman that was standing in front of them.

'Guess he saw us and approach us when we were talking.' Thought Allen scratching his cheek. "Hey Owain how do you feel?"

Owain sigh. "A bit pathetic honestly. I've been mother before, and yet I couldn't tell I was doing the same to Morgan."

Allen blink. 'This could make things easier.'

"Are you planning to make up?" Asked Brady.

Owain nodded. "I wanted to talk to her about it and apologize. But Lucina said that its better if she takes care of it."

Allen Frowned. "And you're okay with that?"

Owain shook his head. "No, I'm not. I want to apologize for myself, and know if I can make it up to her."

"I'll give you that chance."

Both blonds looked at Allen questionably.

"When those two get back. You talk to Morgan and I'll deal with Lucina."

Owain let a small smiled appear on his lips. "Thanks Allen."

"Also, do you know where I can get 'Way of the Sword D'?"

"The book?" Asked Brady.

'Ah good,so it was an item.' Though Allen in relief for not sounding stupid. "Yea that."

"You buy them in supply floor for 500 gold."

Allen face palm groaning. "And I'm out of money... joy."

"Wait." Said Owain searching himself, then pull out a book from behind. "You can have mine."

Allen dumbly took the book.

You obtain Way of the Sword D

Would you like to Upgrade [Way of the Sword E]?

(Yes/ No)

Once the book went to his convoy, he asked the question in his head. "Owain... where exactly did you pull it out from..?"

"Better yet, where were you carrying that in?" Added Brady.

"Ha!" Owain wiped his nose. "A hero never gives out his secrets!"

"... good to have you back." Deadpan team Emblem as Allen tapped 'Yes'.

[Way of the Sword D]: Cut cleaner and deeper for fatal blows.

"What are you three talking about?"

The three boys turn, facing the two girls walking toward them.

The three notice how visibly shaken Lucina looked. Obviously the Tactician didn't hold back, and let her have it.

Allen saw this as a chance, and gave Owain a small push. Getting him in front of Morgan.

He gave Allen a small leer before focusing on Morgan. "Ah, Morgan can I have a talk with you... alone?"

Lucina snapped out of her shaken state when Owains words register in her head. But before she could say anything Morgan answered.

"Sure, let's talk."

Right when Lucina was going to say something, Allen and Brady grab her shoulders and shook their heads.

When Owain and Morgan walked, Lucina turned to Allen. Showing a little irritation. "What do you think you're doing?!"

"We're letting Owain have a talk with Morgan." Answered Allen letting go of her as well as Brady.

"He wanted to apologize to her like you did, or did you not?" Added Brady.

Lucina drop her head depress. "I apologize, okay?!"

Allen crossed his arms. "And she accepted it?"

Lucina looked away, remaining silent for a moment before answering.

"She didn't... she doesn't trust me... I don't blame her..."

Team Emblem remain quiet feeling that it wasn't everything that happened.

"I... thought I was her friend... no, I call myself her friend... because I wanted to let her know she wasn't alone... I was mothering her since day one... that's not what a friend does... how can I possibly be her friend, after all the mothering I did..?"

Allen pursed his lips in thought. "Did you listen to her?"

"Yes..."

Allen smirk. "Then you already made the first step."

Lucinas head snapped up, making Allens smirk grow more. "By listening to others you, show them you care about them. So just keep listening and I'm sure Morgan will warm up to you."

"... you think so." Asked Lucina unsure.

"I know so."

A small smile form on Lucinas face. Morgan wasn't going to forgive her. But she didn't push her away. She was mad at her, but she didn't hate her.

"Looks like they're done talking." Said Brady catching the sword wielders attention, as Owain and Morgan walked up to them.

Owain looked sad, but not as bad as Lucina was. Morgan looked to be glowing, finally getting everything off her chest. That put Allen and Brady at ease.

"Okay then." Allen clap his hands getting everyone's attention. "Now that the issue is solved, let's find Frederick."

"Right behind you."

"Jesus!" Allen jumped away turning around, seen Frederick standing there with an amused smile on his face.

"Ah my apologies, did I scare you?"

Allen sigh heavily. "No Frederick, I just hate when people get behind me. Especially enemies."

Frederick nodded. "Good point. So why were you looking for me?"

"I wanted to ask if you could nominate my team for an urgent."

Team Excel blinked. Then Frederick sigh. "I cannot do that."

Allen frowned. "What do you mean by can't?"

"I can nominate teams. However I will not nominate teams without knowing what they're capable of."

Brady perked up. "So if we show you what we're capable of, you'll nominate us for an urgent."

Frederick nodded. "That's the idea."

Morgan puff her cheeks irritated. She had nothing against Frederick. But oh how she hated when she gets put through trials or tests.

Then again who likes them.

"Then what exactly would you have us do, to nominate us?" Asked Allen hiding his annoyance of this. Every game had trials/tests, one of the few things that annoyed him to no end. He enjoyed owning them, but not been part of it.

Frederick waved his hand to the stairs. "I'll get a quest of my choice, and you have to complete it with good results."

"That's it?" Piped in Morgan. They were still E rank, so they could only take E rank quests.

"I find it acceptable." Voiced Brady. He was a little annoyed by it, but his ma had also done this to him as he became a healer. Well... at least this wasn't his trial alone.

Allen spared his team a glance. All trials had a hidden goal or purpose. The key to this was figuring it out and accomplishing it. Morgan would take it as a challenge, Brady seemed okay with it, as for him... this was stepping stone to make his life even more interesting.

"Alright, we'll do it."

Frederick nodded. "Wait here." Then went up stairs to the quest/business floor.

There was a moment of silence, until Lucina broke it.

"You three just started yesterday and you want increase your rank." (Brady joined the first day team Emblem was form. If he had join a day later, he would be considered a rookie in the team.

Morgan rolled her eyes. "Yes." Who wouldn't really?

"We have to." Groan Allen holding his stomach. "I don't think I'll survive long with the cheap breakfasts."

"Agreed." Sigh Brady and Morgan.

Team Excel sweat drop. Not at Emblem, but at their memory of the cheap breakfast. Lucina honestly found this stupid. The breakfast quality depending on the team rank?

Owain found this... rule to be some what okay. He just saw it as something reminding him in what rank he was... it helped to prevent him from letting the 'heros' blood go to his head. Spur of the moment and all of that.

"Oh hey its the Tactiiiciaaan."

"She seems to be chatting with pointless things again."

"What a waste of time."

A vein bulge in Allens forehead. Having to deal with this bullshit in school, he was fully aware of what was about to come.

The groups attention switch to the three individuals standing a little away from them.

Allen not knowing them looks at their stats.

Gariel Fighter Lv 9

Hp: 65/65

Sp: 47/47

Gariel was a 6.2 foot man with a built body of pure mussels. He had spiky gray hair going backwards resembling sonic the hedgehog, well minus the size and color. The only article of clothing he had were the leather pants with a small mixture of armor in it.

Harol Dark Mage Lv 8

Hp: 48/48

Mp: 53/53

Harol was shorter man been 5.8, he was as slim as Brady. He had small dark glasses or where they clear. Thanks to the animal skull shadowing his face he couldn't make any details aside the glasses. His robe was like a mage but gave out a chilling feeling.

Eikto Thief Lv 7

Hp: 54/54

Sp: 40/40

Eikto was slightly more muscular than Harol but the same height. His hair was dark green tied into a ponytail dropping from the side. His expression was... board, completely board. His attire was light but tight leather pants and shirt with a grey scarf hanging loose around his neck.

And their team name was?

Team Infamous (C Rank)

Are you kidding me? Thief and Dark Mage made sense, but he wasn't sure of the Fighter. And aren't there supposed to be two more members

Allen blink out of his thoughts when he heard Morgans growl of threat.

"What do you want..."

Gariel put on a hurt expression. "Why Morgan don't tell me you aren't happy to see your friends!"

Morgan kept the poker face on, though the same can't be said about her voice.

"We. Are. Not. Friends!"

Every word dripped with venom. The tone getting stronger one word after the other.

"Of course not." Spoked Eikto. "You would never be much of an assert to this team."

'You dirty piece of-!' Wait. Why wasn't Lucina, or Owain stepping in. Weren't they making up with Morgan?

Not moving his head Allen spotted them from the corner of his eye. Frederick was facing him, while holding Lucina and Owain covering their mouths making Allen sweat drop.

'Damn he's fast, but why was he?'

Then it clicked.

Frederick... was going to use this as a test.

'Asshole... you cleaver asshole.'

"I'm sorry but who are three?" Asked Brady with an even tone suppressing a small bit of anger. He may not know Morgan that well, but he doubt that she should be treated like this.

"Ah, my apologies." Said Harol with a light bow. "I'm Harol, we are team Infamous I'm Harol."

"Eikto." Said the Thief bluntly.

"And I'm Gariel!" Said the Fighter with a smug grin.

Brady switched glances with Allen, then face team Infamous, and who might you be?"

"Brady."

"And I'm Allen." Piped in Allen getting questioning glances from team Infamous, well two of them.

Gairel got irritated and got in front of Allen looking down on him in an intimidating way.

"Ah yea, we weren't talking to you pal!"

The way he spat the last word made Allens eye twitch. "They are both part of my team."

Shock spread through team Infamous members, before getting their composer back.

Harol was the first to speak gesturing to Morgan. "She joined your team?"

Allen crossed his arms. "No, I invited her to join."

Harol hmph and readjust his glasses. "I see, then allow me to give you some advice." Faces Allen straight on. "Pick a more capable member."

Morgan glared with a small amount of hatred mix with an enormous amount of murderous intent. How dare he. After all the crap she had gone through, she was happy where she is right now. She was in a team, a real team that worked together and got along with each other.

Throughout the her years of living in HQ about 70% of the teams were formed for profit, popularity, respect, oh let's not forget the top one: control.

Allen took a deep breath and sigh. " I appreciate the advice, but I'm happy and satisfied with my team members. Now is that everything you wanted to tell us? Because we have something to do today."

Gairel glared at Allen not pleased of the way he talked. "Do you have the slights it idea of who we are?"

Allen shook his head. "No, I ignore everything around me except my team and important stuff."

Veins bulged through out Gairels body. Unfortunately for him Eikto stepped in.

"Gairel we wasted enough time with this chit chat."

"No way Eikto, not after-!"

"We have to meet up with Saru."

That cause Gairel to shut up.

Harol gave a tired sigh. "Let just go already, Saru won't that we wasted on pointless things."

Gairel gave Allen a glare before going to the third floor with his team mates.

"I don't like them. The way they act and speak is no different of the brutes of yesterday." Scoffed Brady.

"You and me both." Agreed Allen, they would most likely see each other as enemies. He sigh at that thought before looking at team Excel and seat drop at the sword wielders condition.

"Ah Frederick, you can let go now… their faces are blue…"

'What?' Though Morgan and Brady before facing team Excel sweat dropping, looking at Frederick holding Owain and Lucina covering their mouths and noses making their face become blue for the lack of oxygen.

Frederick had the decency to blush in embarrassment, and let go of them. 'I suppose their constant squirming made me cover their noses too'

As Lucina and Owain were gasping for fresh air, Allen walked up to Frederick. "So... do already have the quest for us, or did you come back for commotion?"

Frederick chuckle. Allen reminds him of someone he use to know. "Actually I already have the quest for you."

The five teens perked up.

"What's the quest specified on?" Asked Brady mild curious.

"Garding a cargo carts heading to Farfort with another team."

Owain and Lucina eyes widen, that quest was!

Just as they open their mouth, Frederick gave them a leer effectively shutting their mouths.

Allen caught this but didn't say anything, figuring it was more of the test bullshit.

"Farfort... it's a two day trip by foot and cart." Frowned Morgan.

"Guarding quests usually get a good pay." Said Brady scratching his chin.

Allen spared his team a glance before nodding to Frederick. "We'll take it."

oxoxoxoxoxo

'Well damn...'

Team Emblem with Lucina and Owain were looking at three carts full of raw materials all going to Farfort. Nothing expensive really just a lot of lumber, metal, wool, a bit of furniture, and medicine. All the cars were been pulled by two horse each with a raider each.

Frederick was currently telling the person in charge of the quest of allowing us to take up on their quest, there was a little argument going here and there but he was managing.

But the main reason Allen was a bit piped was because of one member of the other team they were accompanying.

Kjelle Knight Lv 5

Hp: 60/60

Sp: 30/30

Her entire team was composed of Knights, all four including her and their team name is.

Team Stronghold (D Rank)

A fitting name, well in his opinion. Another thing that made her stand out was that the other Knights wore helmets, hiding their faces to the naked eye.

He could careless honestly at least they didn't get team up with Infamous, That would have sucked… a lot.

Allens attention was brought by the clasp of hands of Frederick and the rider of the first cart shaking on it.

"Looks like we're in." Said Allen making Brady nod while Morgan grinned she hates been stuck in the same place and now should go farther than normal thanks to Al- this team.

Frederick walked up to them. "Alright I talked to Musse about letting you three into the quest, he expects to be protected at all times, always be alert, and never let your guard down."

The team nodded in understanding, making Frederick nod in return.

"Alright then." Said Frederick looking at his team. "Lets go back, we have western duty today."

The atmosphere became dead serious at the mention of western duty, why because Plegia was in that direction. They were certain that 'Bandits will try to cross the border again, they always did.

"Right!" Was the response of Lucina and Owain gave Frederick, before saying a quick good luck to their friends and left with Frederick.

Team Emblem kept their eyes on the retreating form of team Excel for a moment, before the sound of clucking metal grew closer to them.

"So you're the other team that's taking part in this quest." That was more of a statement than a question.

Allen nodded. "That's right and you are?"

Kjelle scoff. "Its impolite to ask for my name while not giving your own."

That cause Allen to give a soft laugh. "You're right, I'm Allen the Myrmidon and team leader of team Emblem." He gestures to Brady. "This is Brady our Priest."

Brady made a small bow. "My pleasure."

"And finally, Morgan our Tactician."

Morgan smiled. "Nice to meet you."

Kjelle nodded at their introductions. "I'm Kjelle one of the Knights in team Stronghold."

"You're not the leader?" Asked Brady.

Kjelle shook her head. "No, the team leader is Sika."

'Sika?' Though the team, then look at the three remaining knights until they spotted her name.

Sika Knight Lv 7

Hp: 61/61

Sp: 30/30

… in all honesty it was only thanks to Allen's ability they know who Sika is… all three had the same armor and helmet… how does this team work.

"She's the one standing between does two." Inform Kjelle.

"Got it." Replied the Shepherds.

"Are you youngsters done deciphering the guardian formation for the carts?"

The four teens turn to a man around his forties or so. It took Allen a second before Allen recognised the man.

"Musse right."

"That's right, so about the formation."

"Um..." Everyone looks at Morgan, who rose her hand. "Can I offer an option?"

Musse quirked a brow. "Go on."

"We do the hexagon formation around the carts, the knights at the side of the carts, while we split and cover the front and back."

Allen hummed inwardly. Her strategy wasn't solid, but he could see anything better or come up with anything better... Then again why bother, he's the worst strategist in history.

Musse frowned. "That's not a solid strategy..."

"That is why I Suggested. By using this formation we not only cover all sides, but also change to any other formation at will. If we use a solid formation not only would it make it harder to change tactics, but it makes us predictable to those that want to get their hands on the cargo."

Her reason to suggest this became an arrow that pierce Allens head. Why? Because every time it comes to formations he goes solid, making him predictable all the time. No wonder he failed in strategy games.

Nusse grabbed his chin, Morgans words playing over in his head. It wasn't solid but it was open to react faster and cover the right spots. With thought he nodded in acceptance.

He clapped his hands loudly getting everyone's attention. "Alright everyone, the formation has been decided. We shall make our way to Farfort in two days in one piece. Deliver the goods, and finish the job with a nice reward!"

"Ay!"

"Then hop to it!"

The four teens just stare on how everyone was ready for the trip.

"I guess... the quest began huh."Said Morgan.

"So it seems." Said the three teens.
