High School Days
For the purpose of this story, Meredith, Derek, Mark, Cristina, Owen, George, Izzie, Alex, Jackson and April are the same age. Lexie is a year younger and Molly is a year younger, than her.
This fic stemmed from a two shot I wrote called Truth or Dare - in the High School Musical archive. I basically thought what, would Grey's be like in high school? However, I won't be mentioning any High School Musical characters in this fic as I would probably go off on a tangent.
Chapter 4
"Can you believe Alex broke up with Izzie for that tomboy junior Jo Wilson?" asked Cristina.
"No I thought they were good together" said Meredith.
"I can't believe he kissed Jo as soon as he had broken up with Izzie," said Cristina.
"I guess you can't fight love," said Meredith.
A locker down from them was a red eyed and betrayed Izzie. She took in their comments and headed to find Alex.
Meanwhile Lexie was still basking in the relation that she was Mark Sloan's girlfriend - his girlfriend. She'd dreamed of this for months and now it was reality. All those months of thinking he can't, he won't and he'll never like me where well wasted but the looks and glances that had gave her hope weren't fake - he really liked her, I mean really liked her. She couldn't believe it.
"What's up with you?" asked Meredith.
"What? Um nothing just had a good weekend," smiled Lexie.
"Did you get laid?" asked Cristina bluntly.
"What were would that happen?" asked Lexie.
"At the party on Saturday," said answered Cristina.
"No, no I didn't I just had a good time," smiled Lexie.
"You totally slept with someone," laughed Meredith.
"No I didn't," said Lexie, grabbing her books and heading to class.
With having a photographic memory and being smart Lexie had been but in AP Science – due to her interest and her intellectual status. In the class she had to sit next to Mark, which when she had had a crush on him at been torture – now she knew it was going to be interesting.
He was already there when she got there.
"Hey," he muttered, a small smile on his face as she sat next to him.
"Hi," said Lexie, a shy smile on her face as she toyed with the edge of her sleeve nervously. Her eyes downcast away from Mark's face a light blush gracing her cheeks.
"Are you going to blush every time I speak to you?" asked Mark.
Lexie shrugged, pulling out her notebook and opening it to a clean page.
Mark chuckled and brushed his hand against Lexie's before turning to the teacher as she started class. The movement sent tingles down Lexie's spine and another light blush graced her cheeks – this wasn't unnoticed by Mark and a smirk appeared on his face.
"You're going to go out of your way to make me blush aren't you?" asked Lexie, in a whisper.
"Yeah," smirked Mark.
Lexie grinned and took notes knowing that life was going to be a whole lot more interesting and better now that she was dating Mark Sloan.
