Hello dear readers. The holidays are coming soon and I am very excited. Mostly because I don't have stand outside of school during lunch. My feet have endured enough. Anyways, make sure to keep warm. Because your heart might freeze by the end of this chapter.
Chapter 4: Fool Proof Plan
It was a plain Wednesday morning. The sky was clear without any hint of dark clouds around. Though, what Tsuna was feeling inside was different. He was feeling utterly sick to his stomach. He would occasionally settle a hand over his mouth to prevent any 'accidental' spills. Anyone that passed by him could notice that he isn't feeling well either.
Tsuna managed to leave the apartment without Yamamoto tagging along. Though, his close friend said that he wanted to come as an extra helping hand. The brunet decline the offer whenever it was offered or mentioned. Now, here he is on the streets, going to his lover's home. The mere thought of it made Tsuna instantly crouch down, paling. The sensation of vomiting again was coming back stronger.
He thought over his plan in his head again. Hibari is known to leave for work early every day. So, no one should be home or coming over. The only exceptions are Ryohei Sasagawa and Tetsuya Kusakabe. Ryohei would persistently bother Hibari about him visiting to see the brunet and check how he's doing. His lover only agreed to it because he doesn't want the former Boxing Captain to bother him while he's working. Since then, Ryohei would check up on Tsuna when Hibari leaves the house in the morning.
Since Hibari owned a Task Force, he made Tetsuya his second-in-command. He could come over merely to discuss about work and recent criminal records. Other than that, he wouldn't come over too much. He, despite Hibari's unspoken dislike, would bring over sweets to Tsuna as a polite greeting.
'Big brother should be coming over soon... You just need to go in and out. That's it...'
Tsuna somehow found his previous home. He had to remember that he wasn't allowed to go outside without Hibari around. It was hard to find it with limited memory of its' location. He had to ask other people if they knew. Now, he's standing outside of the house and is waiting for Ryohei's arrival. Tsuna quickly reviewed his plan over in his head to calm his unsettled nerves. He was beginning to feel doubtful about the entire thing.
"Sawada...? What are you doing out here?" A voice asked.
Tsuna snapped his head up and looked straight at Ryohei. While Tsuna was in deep thought, Ryohei had already parked his car in front of the house and approached him. Tsuna instantly pushed aside his worries and smiled sheepishly to Ryohei.
"H-Hey big brother... Came to visit Hibari-san?" He asked.
"Actually, I came to see if you're okay to the extreme. I haven't seen you in a few days. And Hibari haven't been in a good mood either."
"I-Is that so? I was out visiting my parents for a few days. I came home late yesterday. And I haven't seen Hibari-san acting any different."
Ryohei merely nodded his head. Tsuna explained that he went out for a quick walk and noticed that he didn't have his keys. The white haired male believed in the story, took out his spare key, and proceeded to open the door for the both of them. They couldn't believe what they saw inside.
The luxurious home was in complete ruins. The living room walls had a few holes on them, couch split in two, coffee table crushed, TV with a cracked hole in the middle, and pictures that once hung on the walls were torn down and had cracked glass. The kitchen that was connected to the living room was in the same horrible state. Even some of the cabinet doors were torn off.
"No wonder he wouldn't let me inside. The place is messed up to the extreme..." Ryohei muttered.
"Hibari-san wouldn't let you in?"
"Yeah... When you were gone, he stopped going to work sometimes. And he refused anyone from coming in. Didn't know he was venting his anger..."
"O-Oh... Maybe something happened at work..."
"I doubt that to the extreme."
Tsuna would agree, but refrain from doing so. The two of them stood in the middle of the living room for a short discussion. It consist of Tsuna's wellbeing and his trip to visit his parents. The brunet had to try his best not to slip up and make the story believable and convincing. Ryohei was convinced by the story and thought that the brunet should go upstairs to rest. Tsuna's heart dropped to his stomach when Ryohei said he'll contact Hibari later.
"There's no need to bother Hibari-san. He's working right now, right? I'll talk to him about this later. He'll tell me." Tsuna quickly suggested.
"Is that so? Okay, I'll be counting on you. If anything happens, call me."
"I will. Thank you for visiting today."
Tsuna went along to see Ryohei off before closing the door. He sighed tiredly. It felt like he dodged a bullet for a minute there. The brunet gave a quick look at the living room and decided to do what he needs to do fast. It was clear as day that Hibari was not in a joyful mood lately. And seeing him would not end well.
Ryohei was standing by the side of his car, intending to open the door. However, there was something bothering him. Though he doesn't seem like it, he would notice if there something odd going on with his friends. And Tsuna was leaking out odd all over. He reached into his pants pocket and grabbed his phone out. He pressed the familiar numbers and pushed the call button. A dark voice answered him.
"What do you want?"
"Still upset to the extreme, huh? Anyways, come home. There's something at your place that will cheer you up. If you don't hurry, it's going to run off again."
Tsuna sighed happily at the sight of his work. All of his clothes and small belongings fit easily in a luggage Hibari hid in his room. He couldn't fit any more of it because of the limited amount of space. When that was done, he had enough time to write a decent letter and left it in his lover's bedroom. It simply says that he couldn't handle him anymore and he's leaving. He enjoyed that short time together when they were really in love. And a simple goodbye at the end.
Tsuna securely took hold of the luggage with the intentions of leaving permanently. If only everything in his life went perfectly well. Then, he wouldn't find himself in this sort of situation. Leaning on the doorframe was Kyoya Hibari, his supposed lover. If looks could kill, he would have been lying dead on the floor.
"H-Hibari-san... W-Why are you here?" He whispered.
"I got a call from an idiot saying something about 'cheering up' and if I don't hurry, it would run off again..." Hibari said darkly.
"It's not what it looks like..."
"Oh? Then explain. Because I found this unpleasant letter in my room and can't seem to understand it. And I would also love to know where you were recently."
His body turned deadly cold and was shaking slightly. His worst thoughts were coming at him like bullets. His chance at freedom is gone. Everything ― hopes and dreams ― were gone. Hibari is going to stop him and lock him again. Tsuna bit his lower lip in frustration as he carefully thinks over what he should say. Though, it wouldn't have made a difference.
"I'm leaving... And there's nothing you can do to stop me. I'm tired of all this. I want my life back!"
"So, you finally grew a backbone, huh? It's a pity you're going against me. Come here..." He ordered.
His mind was screaming danger all over. And he couldn't stop thinking of following his orders. Yet, his body was frozen on the spot.
"Tsunayoshi, come here..."
"No... No... I'm not going to listen to you... N-Not anymore!"
"Stop that attitude of yours and come here." Hibari ordered darkly.
The situation seems grim and there wasn't any hope of escaping. Tsuna knew that. Hibari, most definitely, knows that. However, the brunet wasn't going to give up. He's going to fight back this time. Tsuna looked around the room. It was spacious as always and Hibari wasn't even close enough to lay a hand on him. He looked at the window at his right. He was thankful that it would only take three steps and he's out of the house. His eyes went back to his lover with courage and determination.
"Hibari-san... We're over." He smiled.
Tsuna's grip on the luggage tighten and began running towards the window. Hibari caught up with what the brunet was going to do. He wasn't sure if he would have made it in time. Tsuna built up his strength and threw the luggage at the closed window. Shattered glass dropped down on the grass below. Hibari kept running. He was almost close enough to take hold the brunet's hand. Alas, Tsuna jumped out the broken window too soon.
This was a two story house. Information like that didn't come to Tsuna when he decided to jump after his luggage. And if it was just anyone, they would have broken a few bones at least. Tsuna somehow managed to land on his right side. The shattered glass seemed to have made a pile when it dropped. Tsuna screamed in pain when he felt the shards piercing through his sleeve and into his skin.
'Not yet... Can't stop yet...' He thought.
Tsuna grabbed the luggage with his left hand. He used the luggage as support, ignoring the remaining glass scrapping his left leg. From there, he tried to hide the bloody mess and limbed off to Yamamoto's apartment. Hibari remained still. His desire to go after Tsuna was gone. He didn't see any point in it. He could feel the lingering shock running through his body. He couldn't believe someone like Tsuna would be so brave to do something like that.
He smiled darkly.
"Don't think I'll let you go yet, Tsunayoshi."
He wasn't sure about anything. The blood was still pouring, but lesser this time. And he wasn't sure if he was going in the right direction. He just kept walking and walking. Before he knew it, he was half-conscious and was already at Yamamoto's front door. He knocked on it weakly. In one minute, Yamamoto opened the door. Tsuna smiled weakly as he stepped in with his luggage.
"How was the trip Tsuna?" He asked.
"Good... It was good."
Dizziness was kicking in. But Tsuna wasn't going to let it win. He had to get to his room before Yamamoto notice the bloodstains on his right arm. Yet, he couldn't help it. Tsuna dropped down to the floor suddenly with a 'thump'. Yamamoto picked him up in his arms and called the brunet's name repeatedly. There was no answer. Tsuna's skin became paler and colder. The raven haired male examined his friend to see any possible problems. His eyes instantly landed on the brunet's right arm with the growing red stain.
"Y-You're bleeding! Why are you bleeding?" Yamamoto exclaimed.
Tsuna didn't asnwer. He was already unconscious before he dropped to the floor. Eventually, Yamamoto's hand was covered by his blood. Questions could be answered later. Right now, Tsuna needed medical attention. And if Yamamoto was a second late, he would have lost a friend.
Everything was happening so fast. How could a normal trip to Hibari's bring him an injured Tsuna? He could have gone down there to ask Hibari himself. However, he couldn't find the will in him to leave the brunet's side. He was scared for him.
"What happened out there?" Yamamoto asked himself.
And he hopes that Tsuna will be willing to answer that.
Hopefully, you won't hate me for being so mean to Tsuna. Well, it's part of the development. So, hope that kept you on your toes. Until the next update, goodbye. Review, favorite, and/or follow. I hope I don't disappoint you.
