Ash's view

I filled up one of the canteens. Era, was right next to me, silently filling another canteen. I knew something was up with him and Ahri, and I had to find out what. She makes Era more positive and they have only known each other for not even a day. She got Era to tell her some really secretive stuff, he must seriously trust her. I hope Dawn will tell her: breaking a hybrid's trust is more fool hardy than attacking Arceus! I knew though that Era must feel something about her, I gotta ask.

"So Era, what's up with you and Ahri?" I asked.

"Nothing alright?" Era said, aggravated.

"Sorry, it's just, you two haven't known each other for 24 hours and you two are already very close, if you were any closer I'd swear you were in love!" I said.

"Ash, I don't even know what love feels like." Era said, no longer filling the canteen.

"Well, maybe that's because you never found the right person before." I said.

"Ash, I swear to god if you don't." Era said but I interrupted him.

"I have travelled to another universe, not much like ours if at all. You can't blame me for me thinking that way." I said.

"I swear Shadow put you up to this…" Era said angrily.

"Nope, I just want to know. It would feel like the infityverse theory all over again." I said, laughing.

"Explain…" Era demanded.

"I'll explain that theory as best I can." I said.

Dawn's view

"Hey Ahri," I said, "Out of curiosity wh-."

"I do not have a crush on Era." Ahri said quickly and angrily.

"Okay. Well, how did you gain his trust so easily then?" I asked.

"I… don't know. We just had the same destination and suddenly…" Ahri said.

"I get the idea. I should warn you though, a hybrid's trust should not be broken, because when it is… let's just say it's not a pretty… experience." I warned.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"I once witnessed Era kill a necromancer who was once his friend." I said.

"I thought Era hated necromancers." Ahri said.

"They were friends when that necromancer was a human." I bluntly stated.

"Wow. That's…" Ahri stopped speaking.

"Let's go see if Shadow is done packing." I said.

We walked past a small dune to see Shadow had finished packing and was now playing a robot game on his wrist device. It was attracting the attention of many rabbits.

"And this here is a lazer cannon, I have it at level 2748." Shadow said.

The rabbits all nodded at the same time. I couldn't help but feel a little worried that it would cause a rabbit apocalypse where rabbits would wind up ruling the world. The rabbits seemed to behave exactly like people.

"Shadow! Stop making the rabbits sentient." I said.

"Okay…" Shadow said sadly.

"Why were you even teaching them how to play robot fighting games?" I asked.

"What's a robot?" Ahri asked.

"1, I thought that since rabbits love tv, they'd love video games and I was right. 2, a robot is basically a machine that kinda looks like a human, dog, cat, ect ect." Shadow said.

"Okay. What is a tv?" Ahri asked.

"Basically way of entertaining yourself, it shows you pictures that speak and move and can tell you about things going on around the world." I said.

BOOM!

"That came from where Era and Ash are!" Shadow shouted.

"Let's go then!" Ahri said.

We ran over to where Era and Ash were only to see them fighting in hybrid form. Era suddenly flew at Ash with slash before making a spiked ball connect to his tail and slamming it on Ash's head. Ash backed off and fired a flamethrower which Era sliced with psycho cut. They both rammed into each other using dragon rush and backed off. Era's horns started to glow yellow.

"Dawn, what's with the glowing?" Ahri asked.

"When Era's horns glow, it signifies him using an attack at 50% or over. It is like a warning." I explained.

"Why?" Ahri asked.

"When he uses attacks that strong, he can destroy nearly anything." Shadow said grimly. "See it as a way of saying get the hell away unless you have a death wish."

"What can't he destroy?" Ahri asked.

"Well he can actually destroy anything, but only at 100% power on his universal fury attack and his hydro pump attack can he truly destroy anything, including a universe. A metal called hysteel can take almost any of Era's attacks but 90% and over, he can destroy it in one hit." Shadow said.

"Hela, hena theya sei!" Era shouted, conjuring 5 fire balls around himself and he sent them at Ash. Four of them missed but made a massive fire attack Ash. The fifth one, hit Ash in the head, making a big explosion.

"Nice shot." Ash said.

"Been practicing." Era shrugged.

Era charged at Ash but went into human form, brought out his twin katanas and they started to glow. Era then slashed Ash on his front right leg but was sent flying into the pond in the oasis making him smirk.

"Mega evolve!" Era shouted, grabbing his necklace and holding it in the air. He and the necklace started to glow. Ash went into his human state and ran at Era, but the sheer power being released from Era sent Ash into a tree.

Era stopped glowing and I saw many changes. Now his skin is blue scales, he had that moon symbol on his head, his hair was now floating back, he had hooves, wings, twin katanas and scabbards for the swords, a tail but what terrified me and Ahri was the six shadow arms lurching out of Era's back. Era looked at Ash who was clearly worried now.

Era made his blades into an x formation and they glowed purple. Era then shot a purple x at Ash. Ash only just dodged but by then Era got close enough to land a slash on Ash and then a reverse round house kick to his face. Ash was now struggling to keep on his feet. He decided to shoot an aura sphere at Era which didn't do much to the mega hybrid. Era suddenly turned black and sunk to the sand before disappearing totally. He then reappeared in front of Ash, slashed him with a sword, and then blasted a hydro pump to Ash's face, knocking him out.

"What was all that about?" I asked.

"He said that he wanted to show how much stronger he was. He lasted 6.83 seconds more than last time." Era said.

"I'm awake!" Ash said.

"And we need to get going to the village, it is only 10:20 in the morning so we have 16 miles and 10 hours, 40 minutes to use to get there so let's make a move. Sound good?" Era asked.

"Sure." Ahri said, grabbing a bag Era had left lying around.

You'd swear we now looked like a mixture of the brownies and the scouts. For those of you who don't know, they are two groups that give outdoor education. I am not fully sure on what they do though. If someone can tell me that would help a lot.

Era's view

"Era! How long have we been walking?" Shadow asked angrily.

"10 minutes." I said.

"How far have we gone?" My brother asked.

"Round about 200 meters with the fact that we are on the edge of a desert so it is sandy and due to your non-stop whinging." I said agitated.

"Okay general, calm down." Shadow said.

"I'm not going to put up with your insolence Shadow. If you want to give someone shit, do it when we are not in a desert and all sweating a river." I said.

"The phrase is cry me a river." Shadow said.

"Do I look like I fucking care?" I asked, extremely angry.

"Okay, maybe we should calm down a bit." Ash said worriedly.

"Yeah, no need for what will become violence. I swear we need to put a restraining order on you two so you don't kill each other." Dawn said.

They instantly regretted it though because there was literal fire behind me and Shadow as we gave the couple glares telling them to shut up. Thankfully they did just that.

"Oh no." Ahri said, back off slightly.

I turned to see Shadow punch me in the face. I wasn't going to take that so I reverse round house kicked him in the neck. That's why Shadow suffered collar bone damage and could not talk for the next 32 hours. That was great peace and quiet.

"OW! *wheeze wheeze wheeze wheeze you get the idea*" Shadow … wheezed?

"Not to sound rude Era, but… are you… mentally stable." Ahri asked.

"When I am not angry. Otherwise I mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally scar people." I said.

"Okay." Ahri said.

"Wow… I don't know how to respond to that." I said.

We continued walking for 70 minutes until we stopped near a random village, and thankfully out of the desert.

"Hey Era, this places feels familiar." Ahri said. "Not in a good way too."

"Alright. I'm surprised that there aren't any inhabitants walking around, it's like they were all murdered or something." I said.

"Dawn and I can take a look around here to be safe." Ash said.

"Let's go." Dawn said.

"Those two will wind up making out." I said.

Shadow tried to nod but squeaked in pain from his broken collar bone.

"I know why this place is so familiar to me!" Ahri said.

"Oh hey look, a beach, and vastaya foot prints… and your… looking… depressed. Oh crud." I said, face palming.

Ahri then started to cry in regret of those she killed.

"This is the coastal village you talked about huh?" I asked.

Ahri nodded weakly and cried even more. I decided to bring out a box of tissues I had in my bag and passed them to Ahri.

"Here, use as many as you need." I said.

"Thanks." She said weakly.

I turned to Shadow to discuss the best course of action but he met me with a gaze as if to say 'just friends huh?'

"Don't judge me unless you want a dead arm." I threatened.

My idiot of a brother tried to salute at me to get on my nerves but my fist met his face before he could finish the pose. That's how he got his 7,558,368,194th bloody nose.
