Chapter 4: Lucy's Dilemma
Lucy's POV-
Dream~ I am in some sort of castle. 'Where am I? this looks so familiar.' I think. As I walk down a long hallway, I hear muffled talking in one of the rooms to my left. Quietly, I open the door and peek inside. There, I saw two men, a child, around the age of 6, and a woman, who I assume is the child's mother.
The woman and child had dark gold hair and were wearing flowing, white dresses. The two men had dark black hair and one of them was wearing a knight's suit and the other was wearing a red robe with a crown atop his head.
I look back at the woman and thought something strange. "That woman looks an awful lot like my mother." I whisper to myself, hoping to not be caught spying on them.
I look at the little girl. "She looks like I did when I was a kid." I said, shocked at my thoughts. Suddenly, the girl looks straight at me. I noticed her eyes were a rich emerald green, so it couldn't be me, could it? 'What? Oh no! Did she hear me? Good job Lucy!' The mother takes notice where the child id looking and turns to look at me. I panic but I can't move! I can faintly hear her words. "Lucy, sweety, what is it? There's nothing over there." she said to the child.
I was beyond confused. 'Did she just call that child by my name?' I thought. 'Well at least now I know that none of them can see me.' I shuffle into the room slowly, incase my theory was wrong. The girl, Lucy, takes notice and comes towards me. 'I think she can see me!' I panic. She stops directly in front of me and takes my hand in her small one. The next thing I know, I'm being led to a vacant chair beside the woman.
"What are you doing?" I ask her. "I'm showing you something that should have never been forgotten in the first place." she told me.
She sat me down in the chair and climbed onto my lap. "It's okay, as I'm sure you've already noticed but I'm the only one who can see you. Just listen to the conversation those two men are having and you will understand why you are here." she said gesturing to the men I saw earlier.
"Your majesty, you are not safe here. Take your wife and child to your brother, Zeus', kingdom and hide there. HE has come for your daughter, Lucy. Her powers are needed for his evil doings. A war is going to break out soon. Please, your majesty, take cover." The man in knight's armor pleaded.
"I will comply to your wish for my wife and child to take cover, General Hodge, but I will fight." the king said. "But, your majesty, it isn't safeā¦.." the General started but the king quickly interrupted him. "NO! I will fight alongside my people to protect my daughter! She is our only hope of ever defeating HIM." the king said, leaving no room for argument.
"Yes, King Connor. Princess Lucy will be taken to your brother's castle right away. Your wife, Lady Layla, will come along to teach Lucy to control her unstable powers." General Hodge said to King Connor. "Please pack your things, girls. You will leave in ten minutes." the king said to his family.
Little Lucy jumped off my lap. A small, "Yes, Father," was heard and off she was to her bedroom to pack. Layla replied with a, "Yes, Dear," and followed little Lucy to her room to help. In little Lucy's room, I sat on the bed while Layla and little Lucy calmly stuffed a large suitcase full of clothes, dresses, dolls and many other items for the both of them. While watching, I remembered this all happening. I looked over to the other two in the room and my eyes went wide. In little Lucy's hand was a small doll with blonde curly hair and a green and pink dress. It was Imitatia. 'No way! That's the doll that came to life with the reborn Oracion Seis! I knew this all felt familiar! How could I forget my own home and country?!'
I started crying, remembering what was going to happen in only a few days time for little me. Little me saw my tears and instantly knew I had remembered. With a sad look in my direction, she lead me and our mother out of her room and said goodbye to our father, then off to the carriage we went.
Two days later, in dream time, we got news of our father. He was missing. The whole afternoon was filled with tears and heartbreak. Especially for our mother who was absolutely devastated, and our uncle Zeus who couldn't believe that his baby brother was missing and possibly dead.
Later that night, I motioned for little Lucy to come over to me. She complied and walked over to me in the empty room and sat beside me. "I remember everything. You are me from when I was only 7." She just nods and motions for me to continue. "I'm a princess and my father went missing during a battle with Morgan. But here is what confuses me. I had a father, Jude Heartfillia. My memories are still a bit fuzzy, could you explain just a bit?" I ask. She nods and after a few moments, starts explaining.
"Jude was an earthling your mother married to keep you away from HIM. Your mother replaced your memories with some of her and your earthling 'father' instead of your real father. You were born here in Fayley, the galaxy of the gods, and are the only heir to the thrown. If you would have remembered your father earlier and that he went missing, your powers would have surged to your emotions, as, if you have a very deep connection with someone it causes you powers to flux and if you were to receive memories before you were ready, about your father, your powers would spin out of control. You had a very deep connection with your father, more so than your mother. With those kinds of emotions, like grief and sorrow and especially anger, you could have easily destroyed your entire planet. Your mother then decided to replace your memories and took you to earth to live with Jude, but she knew her seal wouldn't last so she put a spell on you so when you were ready, your mind would take you here and I could guide you through your memories." she told me.
"What about your eyes? Since your me, then why are your eyes green and mine brown?" I ask. "When you awaken your powers soon, yours will also be an emerald green. It shows that your powers are fully awake and pure. You are a chosen one. There is another, however. He is the son of a mighty beast with wings. A dragon." she said. "Now, it is time to wake up and fulfill your destiny." "No! Wait! Who is the other chosen one?! Please Tell me!" I scream as the image of my imagination slowly fades away.
All of a sudden I wake up in a cell with my arms and feet chained to the wall. 'WHAT THE HELL?! I am so confused about that last statement. There are so many people who qualify for the other chosen person. Oh well, I'll worry about that later but for now I need to get out of here.' "NATUUU!" I scream as loud as I can, not knowing that Natsu is also doing the same. The doors of the cell slam open and my head snaps up. "Well, well. You're finally awake, Lucy Heartfillia."
