Okay, so this chapter is almost twice as long as my previous ones. It was originally two separate chapters, but they are the same scene. I hope it isn't too drawn out for you guys, but I'm trying to set the story up, while trying to make sure it makes sense. It does start to pick up soon though, and one single conversation taking up an entire chapter or two will not be a typical thing.

This chapter and little parts of the beginning of the story will address an eating disorder. I enjoy taking subjects that don't have a lot of awareness, and incorporating them in a way that lets people see things from a different perspective. I've done some research on this subject, but I am not an expert. If I unknowingly get anything wrong about this subject that anyone notices, please correct me so I can fix my mistake.

I see I have a few followers now, so thank you for taking an interest in my story! Please let me know what you think, especially if I write something that doesn't sit well with you. I will take any suggestion into consideration.

Revelations.

Shachi knocked on his Captains door and waited for a reply to enter. After hearing his Captain voice allowing them in, he opened the door for Sarah to go inside.

"It was nice meeting you Sarah. Hopefully I'll see you around," Shachi told her, before he left the room and closed the door behind him.

Law was in the middle of reading an article from the newspaper. He was leaning back in his chair with his feet on the wooden desk. It was covered in neatly stacked papers and had a few rolled-up papers that Sarah assumed to be maps of some of the islands around the area. She noticed that aside from a few pens and a cup of coffee with steam coming out there wasn't anything else on the cherry wood desk. Behind the desk was what appeared to be a wooden file cabinet and two wooden bookcases that had the same cherry stain as the desk. Each shelf on the bookcases were filled with books. The room was spacious considering they were on a submarine. She looked behind where she stood in front of Law. Behind her was a large bed with the head of it against the far wall. It was in the middle of the wall and on each side of it were closed doors. She assumed at least one of them was a closet, and maybe his own private bathroom. There was one dresser to the side of the room. It was a few feet from the door on the right. It was also stained cherry. The bed was neatly made with the top of the white sheets folded over the black comforter near the pillows.

Sarah stared at the bed for quite some time before Law interrupted her thoughts. "You've been looking over there for a while now. Care to share what you're thinking?"

Startled by Laws voice breaking her concentration she jumped and turned in his direction. He smiled slightly and gestured for her to take a seat in the black chair she was standing in front of.

As she sat she said. "Oh well I just realized I haven't slept on anything except for the ground for several days now. A bed seems like a dream come true right now." She set the bag down on the floor in front of her and started to fidget with the brush still in her hand. She pulled it up to her head and started to try to get the knots out of her hair as she continued. "But, that's not why I'm here is it? I have a couple things I need to ask you too. I'm starting to freak out a little and maybe you can help. Ouch!" She yelled the last part when she accidentally ripped out a small chunk of hair. She decided to start with the ends and work her way up.

"What are you doing?" Law queried seeming slightly amused.

"I'm brushing my hair. I want to salvage as much of it as possible, but something happened while I was in the bathroom. Like I said I'm a little freaked out and I was hoping you could help. I didn't have time to brush my hair there. I don't even know if I could have after seeming my face." She replied looking at Law with worry in her eyes.

Law looked at her with little interest, but he waved his hand to let her go on.

Relieved she told him "I'm younger than I was this afternoon. I don't know how it's possible, but I am. I'm supposed to be 31, now I think I'm 20 again. At first, I wasn't sure how old I was when I looked in the mirror, but if I really think about it. I think I'm 20. How could I possibly go back 11 years?"

The disinterested look on his face changed as she explained. He took his feet off the desk and placed them back on the floor. He leaned forward in his chair, put his elbows on the desk with the fingers of both his hands intertwined, and he rested his chin on his fingers. He looked at Sarah a little differently than before. With obvious interest in his voice he said. "What was it that made you realize you were 20, and not 19, or 18, or 21?"

Surprised she stuttered out "Th-that's the question you want to ask the woman who sounds mad?"

A small smile formed on his lips and he simply replied, "Yes."

A bit flabbergasted and with some embarrassment in her voice Sarah told him her reasons. "While I was in the shower I noticed how thin I was. I'm skin and bones, and even though I had no food for a week it seemed excessive to have lost 25 pounds. Then I noticed my fingers. While I was lost I had to dig to find water in the ground. For a while I used my hands, and eventually they had been torn up and were bleeding. But look!" She showed him her uninjured hands and he raised an eyebrow trying to figure out how she made the connection between reversing her age 11 years and a week-old injury. "Anyway, when I looked in the mirror and saw I was much younger than I was earlier today, I thought about it. How could my hands heal, but not my body that was starving?" She paused for a moment, "When I was 20 I was anorexic. It started at 19 but was out of hand by my mid 20's. I had starved myself so much that I almost died. Even drinking water was something I would avoid most of the time. By the time I was sent to the hospital some of my organs were about to shut down. It was a wakeup call, and I've worked hard to stay healthy and have a positive body image since." She finished still a little embarrassed, but she knew a lot more about Laws past than he did about hers. It didn't seem right to know that information, and not be forthcoming about some of her past. She knew if he found out what she knew about him he probably wouldn't be too happy about it.

Law wasn't looking at her anymore. He was staring down at his desk, his eyebrows furrowed in thought. He was thinking about what she had just told him, and a thought appeared to him. "That's interesting Sarah-ya." He finally spoke as he got up from his chair and grabbed a book from one of the bookcases behind him. He placed the book down on the desk and sat back down. He opened it up and started to flip through the pages, obviously looking for something.

Sarah noticed the change in her name, and for some reason it put her at ease. Still trying to untangle her hair she curiously asked, "What are you looking for?"

He answered almost absentmindedly as he continued to flip through the pages, "While you were getting cleaned up." He stopped for a moment to look at her noting she was finally making some head way with her hair. He smirked again, then looking back down at the book finding what he was looking for and continued. "I was looking into devil fruits. I was trying to see if there was any research on a fruit that could teleport you from one place to another. I didn't find anything. There is a Warlord who can do something similar, but it's not quite the same. Plus, that fruits power is already in the possession of Kuma. This new bit of information is making me think I was looking for the wrong thing. I don't know how you suddenly got here, but I think the fruit you ate gives you the ability to change your age. Like this one." He turned the book and showed her the drawn picture of a devil fruit with the description of its abilities.

With absolute confidence Sarah told him. "No that's not it. It doesn't look the same. Plus, someone already has that power. You'll meet her eventually." After that last sentence came out Sarah knew she messed up again. She was giving up too much that wasn't being asked. She knew she wouldn't get away with lying to this man, but she needed to be careful not to divulge more than was necessary.

Law arched his eyebrow again looking at her questioningly. "For someone who a little over an hour ago argued that devil fruits didn't exist, you do seem to know more than you should. How do you know this fruit belongs to someone else, and why would you know who I'm going to meet in the future?"

Sarah put the brush back down in her lap and started fidgeting with it, looking around nervously. This only seemed to make Law more suspicious, so she took a deep breath and met his gaze. She resigned herself to tell him some of what she knew. "I know some of your future. I'm assuming it's your future, because you don't know about Bonney yet. I don't know this because of the devil fruit. I know because this isn't my world. I don't know how I ended up here, but I know that I don't belong in this world." She then then started to explain about her world, and about manga and anime. It all sounded insane while she explained everything. She left out the past and future events she knew to come.

When she finally finished she looked away worried how he would react. She didn't know if he would just think she had lost it, or if he would become more suspicious of her. She had managed to maintain eye contact the whole time she spoke, but now that she was done she couldn't look at him. She was too nervous.

A knock was heard on Laws door. He had been absorbing everything she had just told him. Not sure whether to believe her. She didn't seem to be lying, and he knew anything was possible with devil fruits. But still, to think their lives where part of another worlds entertainment and considered fictional was hard to believe. The knock brought him back and he answered it. "Come in."

Both Law and Sarah looked at the door. He noticed she looked a little relieved at the interruption. Bepo and another crew member named Sam came in each holding a tray of food.

"Sorry dinner is a little late Captain, but we figured you needed a little more time to talk with her." Bepo commented. He set the tray of food in front of Law, and the other crew member set the one he was carrying in front of Sarah.

"It's fine Bepo. You came at a good moment. Sarah-ya and I aren't done talking yet though, so we'll need a little more time without further interruptions." Law told the big polar bear.

Sarah was smiling now, and she couldn't seem to contain herself. "Bepo! I'm so excited to meet you! I heard you were the one who saved me. Thank you so much." She was standing now, and it look like she was about to attack the bear with a hug, but she restrained herself.

Bepo looking a little shocked at first, but then smiled at her and happily replied. "Oh, don't worry about it. We were quite surprised to see you there. You came out of nowhere. I'm glad to see you're doing better. How do you feel?"

"I don't feel 100% better, but I feel a lot better than I have in a while. Thank you again." She answered still looking like it took everything she had to hold back from hugging the big white bear.

Law cleared his throat with obvious irritation. He didn't like being ignored, and he clearly wasn't done talking with Sarah.

"Sorry Captain." The bear bowed looking rather depressed, which made Sarah smile.

The other crew member grabbed Bepo by the arm and started to pull. "Come on Bepo. Stop apologizing and let's leave the Captain and miss Sarah alone."

After the two had left, Law observed the woman a little more. She sat back down and looked a little disappointed when Bepo was out of sight. He cleared his throat again to get her attention. She snapped back to reality and looked at him. "What was that about?" He asked

She laughed a little as she explained. "Well I never thought I'd ever be in this world, but I had thought about the people in this place that I'd like to meet if it was ever possible. Bepo was definitely one of my top 10."

"Hmm, I see. I'm curious, did I happen to be interesting enough to make it on this list of yours?" He was acting as if it was an innocent question, but there was devious amusement in his eyes.

Sarah didn't know every aspect of Laws personality, but she knew enough to guess that he enjoyed messing with people and making them uncomfortable. Instead of answering him outright she decided to play this banter her own way. "Law I believe you're trying to have fun at my expense. Do you do this with everyone you meet?"

"No, not everyone. Some I just kill." He said casually trying to get a reaction out of the woman in front of him. He grabbed his fork and knife and set to the task of eating his meal before it became cold. He had a few slices of what looked like roasted pork loin with a brown sauce poured over the meat, mashed potatoes, and garlic green beans. There was also a bottle of something on his tray by the plate of food.

Sarah looked at his plate and it looked delicious, then she looked at hers. She had a bowl of broth again, a small piece of bread, and a glass of water on her tray. She looked at it a little disappointed, since it didn't look as appetizing as Laws meal, but she grabbed the spoon resting by the bowl and started sipping the rich broth from the spoon.

Law noticed her disappointment when she looked at her food, but he was glad that she hadn't complained. So, he decided to point out to her, "You haven't eaten anything in a while, and even though this may not be the body you were in while lost in the forest, given what you told me your body is probably in a similar state. You need to slowly work yourself up to eating more solid food." After he explained this Sarah relaxed. His comment had indicated that she might have a future even though she was in the company of someone who wasn't trusting of others. Then he added, "You've done a good job of avoiding my question, but I'm not so easy to distract. I expect an answer to all my questions. So?"

He wasn't going to let it go. He didn't like being ignored, or having his questions ignored. Even if he was just screwing with the woman, it was the principle of the matter.

She realized she hadn't escaped the question as gracefully as she had hoped. Her cheeks turned pink, and she quickly responded, "Yes you were." She avoided eye contact to keep her whole face from breaking out in the blush that was forming on her cheeks. It was true that on her list of people from 'One Piece' that she had wanted to meet, if such a thing was possible, Law was in her top 3. She couldn't have guessed though, that the man in front of her would be as handsome as he was. It was hard to picture what he would look like in real life, when all she had to go off was a cartoon image.

Law let a devilish smile grace his lips. It wasn't really her answer that made the Captain smile, it was the fact that she was embarrassed and a little rattled. This conversation was entertaining him, and he realized he enjoyed making her uncomfortable. He let his smile drop, and he took on a more serious tone. "It's still hard to believe the things you're saying. You can understand my suspicion, can't you?"

She looked back up to him. Her face was thoughtful and then it brightened up. She excitedly said "My backpack! Did you guys happen to put my backpack up after Bepo saved me?"

Law nodded to confirm her question. Then he bent down and reached under his desk, as if he had been expecting her to ask about it. He handed it to her over the desk. She grabbed it from him. It was mostly dry now. She opened it up and all her survival gear that she had relied on the last several days was inside. She opened the side pocket that she had placed her phone before she had taken a nap in the forest. It was still in the zip lock bag. When she opened the plastic bag up and took out the phone it was still dry. "Oh, thank goodness" She breathed a sigh of relief.

"What is that?" Law asked. He looked interested again.

She smiled brightly and announced. "This is my proof!" He gave her a questioning look, but she ignored it and elaborated. "This is a cell phone. Like your den den mushi it can make calls to other people who also have phones, but it does so much more. There are a lot of things it can do that I won't be able to do here in this world, because your world doesn't have the technology for satellites and the internet. BUT! I have pictures I've taken in here, some music I downloaded, and even a couple 'One Piece' and other anime episodes that I downloaded and won't need the internet to stream!" She was noticeably excited.

Most of the things she said didn't make much sense to Law, but he quickly became curious when she mentioned the anime he was apparently in. He watched her as she pressed a small button on the back of what she called a phone. He was surprised to see the front light up and continued to watch as she taped her finger on 4 different numbers. The screen became even more bright and he saw some weird symbols with different names below each one. Some of the names he read were Facebook, which he thought was a weird word, the next one wasn't much better it said snapchat, but then he read the word calendar and he was happy to see something he understood. He saw behind these symbols was a picture of the woman in front of him. In the picture she was older, but she was pretty attractive. This was obviously the older healthier version of Sarah. She was with a man who looked to be similar in age as her, maybe only a little younger. He looked up at her and asked, "Is that your boyfriend?"

She laughed and said. "Oh god no. I don't have time for boyfriends anymore. That's my little brother." As she said that last part she smiled warmly and looked at the picture of the man on the screen.

Law looked back at the screen with her. By this time, he was so interested that he was leaning over his desk to get a better look and Sarah sat sideways in her chair trying to angle the phone, so he could see it with her. Then a white box that filled up most of the screen appeared. Warning them that the battery was low. "Shit!" Said Sarah. She realized that her phone had never been turned off like she intended earlier in the day. She put her phone down on the desk and pulled out the back up charger from her backpacks side pocket. She quickly plugged it in hoping it hadn't been damaged during everything that happened and that it still held a charge. After she plugged it in the white box disappeared from the screen and it started to charge. "Well, I'll do my best to show you one episode, but my phone's power may not last much longer. I don't know how much power this charger can provide either before it's also drained. I'm pretty sure there won't be a way for me to recharge this in this world. So, once it dies that's it."

Law nodded in understanding. He was really curious about this show. He didn't have any idea what to expect. She broke through his thoughts about the possibilities by saying "Law, I'm going to pick which episode to show you. It may not be good to show you too much of the future. This episode will have you in it, but not very much."

He looked at her irritated. His glare trying to pierce her, but she just looked back at him worry on her face. As he glared at her trying to get her to back down, he noticed that it wasn't just worry in her expression, but also conviction. He wasn't going to change her mind even if he scared her, that was the look she was giving him. Law knew he probably wouldn't be able to figure out how to run the video himself anyway, so he rolled his eyes and said. "Fine."

Sarah put the phone down and grabbed her chair. She brought it over to the other side of the desk and set it down next to Laws chair. She grabbed the phone again and popped out the stand in the back and angled the phone, so they could watch. The phone was on its side now resting on the desk. Law watched her as she tapped at the screen that flashed with different images he wasn't familiar with. She tapped on the phone one more time and the screen went black. He saw her smile and get comfortable in her chair. She resumed brushing her hair that was almost free of the tangles. It was dry now, and with her sitting so close to him he noticed it smelled nice. She explained that they were going to watch the first episode that he was in. He stared at the black screen and he saw a little circle that looped in place. Then his eyes widened as the show started. It was fascinating that this little item could project all these images, and he thought to himself that Sarah's world must be far more advanced than his own. They also could watch projections, but they were through snails similar to their den den mushis. As it played he followed along by reading the writing at the bottom. Sarah explained they were called subtitles. She got excited and pointed him out when he was being described by the woman named Shakky on the screen. She was really enjoying herself and would giggle at some of the antics that were displayed on the phone. Once it was over Sarah grabbed the phone and turned it off. She explained that she wanted to let the backup charger charge the phone as much as possible. Then she moved her seat back to its original position across from Law.

He sat back in his seat thinking about everything he saw, and he couldn't help but to think he was starting to believe this woman. Then he stood up and looked at Sarah, "Come on. I'll show you to your room. I'm sure you're tired and I have a lot to think about. Grab your things."

Sarah did as he instructed and followed him out of his quarters. He led her further to the back of the sub and opened a door that was second to the last on the right. It was small and had a twin-size bed that was bolted to the floor against the far right of the room. Next to the bed was a very small table, and against the wall to the left was a dresser with 4 large drawers. Everything in the room was bolted down.

"While we were talking some of the crew removed some of the extra furniture we had in their quarters and moved them here. I guess it was in case you were staying. If you ask me they're a little soft, but they weren't wrong in this case. This is one of our smaller storage rooms that we weren't really utilizing." Law explained.

"Thank you, and I'll be sure to thank the men who helped when I get a chance." Sarah said while looking at the bed that seemed to be calling to her.

"You should be able to eat a light breakfast tomorrow. Our cook is aware of your dietary needs right now, so listen to what he says. After breakfast someone will lead you to the infirmary for a checkup. Given what you told me it'll take a while before your body is healthy again. I want to see the extent of the damage you did to yourself. I'm going to talk to you some more tomorrow, but first I want to think about everything I've heard." He finished and then left her room closing the door behind him.

He left before she had a chance to respond, but she called after him anyway. "Goodnight!"

After he was gone she threw her stuff on the ground not caring where and plopped down on the bed face first. She didn't bother to undress or even get under the covers. It was warm in the submarine anyway, and she was too tired from this long day to do anything but sleep.

Law heard her shout goodnight after he left her room. He shook his head but went back to his quarters. The trays that were on his desk were already taken away by one of the crew members. He sat at his desk and started to write down some of the things Sarah had told him, and some things he had seen on her phone that seemed like they would be important. He noticed that there would be several people soon that he would need to keep an eye on. Especially that kid with the straw-hat. He had already heard of a couple rookies that were causing a stir in the grand line. He was certain that straw-hat kid was one of them. Wasn't he the one that took down Crocodile? His middle initial was what first caught his eye, and then seeing it again today on Sarah's phone reminded him. He smiled thinking about D. causing so much trouble in the future. Going so far as to even declare war on the world government.

Law quietly chuckled to himself with that last thought, then continued to go over every detail of the relevant information Sarah gave him. It wasn't until 3 hours later and well past midnight that he finished and was satisfied with his analysis. He stripped off his hoodie and climbed into his bed. It was comfortable, and Law wondered if Sarah was enjoying hers. Thinking about her comment earlier about how good a real bed looked.
