Koanita- Okay, so I literally spent about 2 days on going over, fixing, fixing plot holes and writing these chapters. Hah, so yeah...I will be writing on and updating on this here and there over the next few weeks probably when I don't have to do College work. I already have a few started as it is chapter wise after this one. Idk if anyone will really like this story...but i hope so. Please comment if you can. I appreciate it.

Disclaimer...- I own NOTHING to Sonic the Hedgehog, as I have said before only the oc's.

Dimension Chaos

Not Alone, and Contemplating

Nightshade's POV:

She woke up and took care not to wake Lectrix as she went among her normal business. Taken a break however she realized, his clothes would never work on him again. He was of dimension where unlike the one they were in, everyone wore pants or something to cover up those things where he came from. For some reason, even though she was born into a world similar to this one where it depended on preference among anthropomorphic animals unless belonging to a tribe or something that had strict rules upon it- she had always agreed with Lectrix's world's customs for this too, well to a point.

For one, even though she agreed with the thinking as it was, weird. Mostly because in most area's it hadn't mattered…but then again she had spent her life mostly in accordance to the tribe's rule and that of the ones they were aligned with. Somehow even though the no-clothes due to fur thing had never truly bothered her over the years it had started to when it was him. Clothes were a custom and modest: as well a reminder of home for him. Yet there had been times when he went years without such things, but honestly she didn't have any intention of him doing so here.

For one, it made her a bit uncomfortable...sure, she was used to it but...oh well. Perhaps his insistence and constant need of them had made it become taboo for him to go without when there was plenty opportunity for him to wear clothes. Nightshade sighed making him breakfast: eggs, bacon and of course assorted berries. Once done she put it on the table next to the bed, along with a simple note 'Be back shortly...don't spill the food or crumbs on my bed.' With that she locked up the tree house and accented to the ground. It took an hour or so to make it to town and she made sure to keep herself as low profile as possible planning on keeping to her words the last she had seen of Sonic.

Passing the grocery store she wondered vaguely if her provisions would last the two of them or if she should stock up more on things that Lectrix…and possibly even Dare liked just in case. However she figured to do so after getting clothes to ensure it was took care of before anything else. She was just nearing three different clothing stores in the large shopping district when an all too familiar set of voices found her ear.

Turning Nightshade was a bit shocked to see Sonic and Amy again. Especially so soon after the last she had…she wasn't sure where they was heading or doing, but didn't intend to find out either so she ninja-ed her way to a clothes store before they were close enough to see her. Looking around a thought came to her mind, what the hell did Lectrix like in clothes? It'd been so long sense then...sighing she shrugged. 'Guess I'll grab what might look good on him, that seems may be his style from what little I can recall….' She'd have to guess at his size and weight too, fun fun.

Oh well, she started looking through all the clothes contemplating finding every so often something that might work only to think better of it. Finally she found a pair of cyber bandage jeans a green fish net shirt (somewhat like what lestat wore in Queen of The Damned), some gloves a trench coat and another pair of pants that were dark blue jeans, a blue jacket to match, a pair of black and blue shoes, a pair of yellow shorts, a white male tank top, and some a camo outfit. It wasn't much but it gave him options. It was then that she heard mumbling behind her as she was standing in line, she steadied her gaze on jewelry and gloves near the register and grabbed a pair of gloves as well an necklace with a cat icon on it, she sighed however as the mumbling did not stop and there was an angry and then flustered and 'apologetic voice' of the two behind her in line.

Nightshade already knew, before she turned her head to see Sonic and Amy behind her, and as she had thought they were looking at her when she did. "Hey, Shade. What you up to?" Sonic said seeming unfazed as normal, Amy seemed a bit mad looking and embarrassed, holding a new dress in her hands. "Uh, I'm sorry...I didn't mean it…that way." Amy said slowly, she had definitely been looking at her a bit too long in her opinion and seemed genuinely sorry but also reluctant almost unwilling to have anything to do with her.

Nightshade nodded slightly. "It's 'kay. And hello." She said to Sonic trying not to be rude as she cursed the guy working the register for taking so long. Sonic was fine, but she didn't like Amy. First impressions are the most important. "So…What are you doing here?" Amy said after Sonic looked in-between them. She had an urge to roll her eyes, but didn't. "I'm buying clothes." Nightshade stated simply motioning toward the clothes in her other hand.

Amy nodded. "But those are all boy clothes." Amy stated a bit surprised as if a girl dressing in what pants and not skirts was shocking. Perhaps it was to her given how girly she seemed to like to dress. "There not for me. Lectrix needed clothes and i aint watching him walk around naked anytime soon, so I figured I'd buy him some." she snapped a bit, she couldn't help it the girl got on her nerves, not to mention the idea that came with the mentioning of Lectrix needing clothes bothered her.

"Lectrix? Who's 'Lectrix?'" Sonic said looking a bit upset, like she had just told him someone spat on a loved relative's grave…which was strange to see. Although, as she thought back on it she could recall a similar reaction when they were younger whenever it came to her or Sally…then again they had always been close and he had seemed worried about something bad happening to one of them…which it did eventually. Was he really still seeing her for that child she had once been back when the freedom fighters existed? Back...when he still lived? No...she couldn't be who she was then. She hadn't been her sense she had returned home and then became bound to something far much greater then her.

Nightshade rolled her eyes, and tried to bite back the smile from seeing Amy's face drop and then become a glare at her over Sonic's reaction. Ah…so she had a crush on Sonic? Bah, still didn't give her reason to not think before acting or speaking over jealousy. She didn't know her, nor did she know anything of the reason why Sonic was so worried, after all her chapter during his childhood had kept him rather worried at one time, and she had been so afraid of herself and if she had anything really...little less a reason to stand up for herself. "He's a friend of mine who has recently showed up." She said annoyed but feeling a bit triumphant at the pink hedgehog, her small relieved look was just lost. She smirked glad as the cashier said the amount and paid.

Nightshade moved to leave, but was stopped by a gloved paw like hand, turning her head to find Sonic the owner….he smiled at her, while Amy's glare intensified but she said nothing and went about paying for the rather girly dress. "Shade, you should really give what I said before a thought. We could really use you…and I know we can count on you if you join us. If you decide to take up the offer let me know, and even if you don't we should hang out again someday." He said before grabbing a piece of paper and pen from Amy's purse and writing down a phone number and address. Once he handed to her, she watched as Amy finished paying and huffed holding her bag looking at the back of Sonic's head worriedly.

Nightshade looked at him and smiled slightly and nodded putting it away in her own purse. "I'll think about it…but I'm not much of a hero and I have a lot of obligations as it is…I'll let you know though." She stated before turning to go. After leaving she stopped into a grocery and personal item store and grabbed a few things for Lectrix before making her way as fast as she could home not wanting to deal with another run in with the two if possible nor the fox or anyone. Lectrix was alive, which meant so was Dare…she wasn't alone anymore. Not just that but, now they needed to form a plan and get back to business.

A run from down town to the woods and past

Returning home Nightshade was more than happy as she walked in to see Lectrix eating, still in bed. How long had it been sense she had given up hope that him and Dare would ever return…that they were even alive to be able to? Yet here one of them was…alive and well: past the wounds and battle scars he had from the time they had spent apart. They must have never stopped jumping but been unable to lock onto her location or have the time to do so due to the constant attacks of the Doers organization. Vaguely she wondered if he even knew that they had finally located her, as well more or less if Lectrix even knew she had left that note and food. Leaning against the door she set the extra food on the table besides her opting to put them up later.

At the sound of a bag filled with boxes being set down the young green and black skunk paused in eating and stiffened, sniffing the air as his eyes widened and looked up recognizing the scent to see her. Nightshade smiled and put the clothes as well some…personal items like a tooth brush and etcetera for him on the bed. He looked at her shocked, as if seeing a ghost… then a slow smile spread as his eyes softened.

"Night…" She nodded with an answering smile of her own. "I'm glad you're here, i was starting to think-" She started although unsure if she could even say it, with the relief of knowing it wasn't true could, but he didn't let her. Lectrix cut her off. "I know. We were worried on that, as well if you were safe. How you faired. We would of came sooner and located you but we couldn't risk leading them. Doers stayed on our tail for the last two worlds. We finally lost them, well…at least me and you have. I imagine Dare will lead them into a trap or lose them somehow." He stated with a grin, rather relieved and worried but with faith in Dare's abilities.

A small silence settled between us as I went about grabbing the groceries and putting them up in the kitchen…as he watched me do so, I made the mental note I would need to add a few walls as well another room somewhere on tree house for him. He had moved his gaze now as he glanced to the bags I had placed on the bed. "What's in the bag?" Lectrix asked before looking at her curiously. "Your new clothes, obviously." Nightshade stated with a shrug. He laughed a bit. "I take it you don't want me walking around in my glory?" She laughed, shaking her head. "It's always kind of bugged me." He rolled his eyes. "Very well." She got up and headed toward the kitchen. "Get dressed and tell me what happened." He said nothing but she knew he would. She just hopped it wasn't as bad as possible.

Time Skip to A few Days Later

Nightshade sighed as she finished cleaning the tree house, and was finally about to sit down and relax. For a few minutes she rubbed her temples in thought going back over what Lectrix had said. It wouldn't be long until Dare would show up, she was sure and then they could go about checking for anything important in this world...although she didn't really expect that anything was really. After all she would of sensed something by now...or at least felt some type of pull toward it. Although if she set long enough she'd have an urge to go outside and search the sky's: looking up at the clouds as if something was amiss. She couldn't really explain it, there was no pull or feeling of needing to do something...however a restless feeling as if something of importance was here.

Sighing she shook her head, and was about to lay down on the couch and rest until Lectrix came in. Glancing up when she felt his stare she saw him standing right in front of her with a grin plastered to his face. "Nightshade...why don't we go into town or something? I'm bored. Theres nothing to do, and I can't take anymore of this 'quiet.' You said there was a shopping distract right? We could go there, or maybe to a movie...or something. Hell we could even visit whoever gave you there number..." He stated trailing off. Nightshade had began to roll her eyes and just lay down, opening her mouth to tell him to go if he wanted: as she did not feel like going out today...seeing she still wanted to try and never see or run into those two again. However her eyes snapped open as she set up and looked at him. "What number?" He just smirked and showed her the piece of paper with Sonics' contact info on it. She grabbed it and places it in her pocket as fast as she could before glaring. "You went through my stuff." It wasn't a question, but a statement and warning.

He only nodded however before shrugging. "Actually it was in the bag my clothes were in, so i guess you forgot about it." She shook her head and growled slightly. "Next time throw it away: don't look at it." She said simply and he laughed. "So whose number and address is it?" He asked curiously. "A friends." "Then why haven't you gone to see them or hung out?" "Don't feel like it, plus I don't want to deal with anyone else." He rolled his eyes plopping himself down. "Mhmmm, well...maybe you should anyway. At least it'd give us something to do." "Then you go visit." He made a noise. "Pssh, i don't know 'em so i can't." He stated before leaning back on her legs trapping them. She squirmed until finally huffing. "UGH!" He laughed. "Fine, fine. How about this...you forget about us visiting those two and we'll go do something. I don't care: shopping, to the beach, an arcade, the movies. Just let it go. I don't wanna see them." Getting up he grinned triumphantly before laughing at her pout as he helped her up.

After they made it to town they ended up heading toward the park, only stopping to grab some ice cream. Currently they were half way through the park and on there way to an arcade...and she was rather hopeful this was one of the worlds where them playing wouldn't be a problem. It's funny how when you tell someone to let shit go- they start bringing it up constant, wait...not funny. In fact it was irritating. Why hadn't she just thrown it away? "Seriously, I want to know." She sighed taking a small bite out of the cream pistachio ice cream.

"I used to be friends with him okay, we worked together for a few years until I figured out how to return home...i was young. As for the chick, i had never meet her before...and honestly, i wish i could still say i hadn't. I don't like her...she's just so rude because she assumes things. It's not my fault she's got a crush and he's oblivious or just doesn't return it. Beside I don't even like him like that nor had I even seen him in years.." She stated trailing off wishing once more she could just ditch him and escape the conversation as she didn't feel like she needed to justify avoiding a friend or anyone for that matter. He nodded. "That's stupid though to avoid someone just so you can someone else. Plus, we could use there help as well. Even if we can't sense anything doesn't mean nothing of importance is here. Besides one of these Dimension should have the other- HEY WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?" He yelled before running off trying to catch up with me.

She had a feeling of dread again, even more so as she heard the sound of something crashing into concrete up ahead and as she moved closer she could see a giant robot, people screaming and running every which way. Dr. Eggman again no doubt. Nightshade sighed, not my issue...maybe she could just leave. And she was about to turn when suddenly Lectrix run past her and then he started to attack it. Well- so much for that. She really didn't want a high profile in this place, makes you to easy to spot and find. With that organization it was the last thing anyone would want to be, especially with all that was riding on us. He was doing relatively good until an arm smacked him and sent him flying. Just like that She was there, doing the one thing she had kept telling myself to stop: being a hero. Nightshade wasn't good enough to be a hero, she wasn't even worthy of what i was already tasked with...and yet she couldn't just walk away. Who was She kidding? How far would she of even gotten without Lectrix here before ending up doing this anyway?

Once we were both in sync it took hardly any time at all, however as normal with this man there was a back up plan to further terrorize them. What got her attention though was soon Sonic was there as well smiling at her before the second contraption started coming at them: she was relatively glad to notice that Amy wasn't there, actually neither was the fox. Lectrix and him was working together as she was kicking and punching holes in the metal along with someone else, who she had yet to seen but had been there just a few minutes before the blue blur. It wasn't until her and whoever it was landed the last blow. The machine short circuited before falling over that she caught a glimpse of them: more importantly, the one who'd help her deliver the last blow. He was the same race as her mother and Dare, with the same red fur, if it hadn't been for the white sideways crescent moon of fur on his chest and rather gorgeous purple eyes she would of mistaken him for her comrade.

However that was only at the initial glance, as her eyes stayed on him however she seemed to forget that they were currently in the middle of a city, surrounded by others. His deep purple eyes seemed to go on forever to a depth she'd never seen before: yet instead of just drowning in his gaze she almost felt comforted as she stood frozen, transfixed on his eyes. The wind blew around them and caused his long quills to sway with the breeze, the light in casing him in an angle almost making him seem surreal...and perhaps he was. As not once could she recall the need to be close to someone nor lose herself within a space of time forever.

As she watched him he looked back at her confused, his expression unreadable between conflicting ones at her, as she stared back into his gaze almost fully lost in them no longer wanting to break away from that, nor to exist in or away from whatever secrets those orbs held. Something more then that also urged her almost magnetically and she could not even contend to ask the questions her subconscious wished to address. However, it all vanished as he spoke. "Who are you?" Just like that the spell was broken as she blinked rapidly. Almost as soon as he finished asking this she could hear Tails, and Amy screaming praise at Sonic.

To which Sonic brushed off but still seemed his usual ego inflated self toward it before moving over toward where her and the guy stood. Lectrix had been walking toward her. "Thanks for the help! So are these the frie-" but he stopped looking at her before a weird smile made it to his face. Sonic grinned at them both, which all of it seemed to of happened before even a minutes time could pass. "Way to go, that's some teamwork! Long time no see Knuckles...surprised to see you in town." The guy who must be Knuckles only nodded, glancing at the blue hedgehog. At that Sonic looked at Nightshade with his usual grin. "Still thinking about it Shade? Seems to me you might as well join us. We end up at the same place anyway." She blinked then out of her daze blushing like crazy...what had she been doing? She'd been only half listening still unable to stop herself from glancing or watching Knuckles in a mildly, she could feel the burn on her face and inwardly cursed herself hoping the blush didn't show outwardly...but judging from the look Lex was giving the two of them she believed it was.

"Hu-umh..." She stopped and bit the inside of her mouth and attempted to control herself from seeming flustered or whatever she was. "I...I don't know; maybe. Besides it's not just up to me. I got Lectrix and Dare who work beside me normally...and I can't just join you guys if they don't." She said finally with a smile that fell once Lectrix spoke. "In other word's we'd love to join the Sonic team." She could feel herself tilt in exasperation but stopped herself as he continued,"I'm sure Dare would agree..." She snorted at that part, causing him to look at her before adding swiftly, " Well over time. After all, our goals are rather the same." Nightshade looked at him, as did Sonic. His look seemed to fall slightly before he smiled friendly. "Which one are you?" Sonic asked keeping the rather friendly and curious air about him, Knuckles shifted seeming more perplexed from how Sonic had spoken to her and then the skunk. Lectrix just smiled. "I'm Lectrix the Cat." She snorted again but this time ended up laughing as soon as the words left his mouth.

This left Lectrix to look at her unamused and warningly, while Sonic looked at her questioningly. Knuckles, as well Tails and Amy who had just came over seemed confused. Once she straightened up enough to talk she shook her head, grinning most likely the first true smile that she had around them sense running into Sonic: causing him to relax more as well Tails. "I believe he means, that He's a skunk...right Stand the man?" He glared. "Don't call me that, I changed my name to be rid of the pain. So call me Lectrix. And I am not a skunk! I'm not, i'm not, i'm not." She laughed lightly looking at him amused. "Then why, is your obviously skunk coloring showing...and look- skunk ears hidden behind all this fur." She stated pulling the ears past the fur to be seen, she couldn't help the amused giggle that left her at the look on his face from her picking on him. This caused him to yelp and huff, although oddly enough he seemed less annoyed when he finally got his ears from her grasp. "Call me what you want, but my cat dreams i will flaunt." Rolling her eyes she shook her head. "Okay, fine. Although you should at least be honest when introducing your self to others. Otherwise it's a bad impression." He nodded but stuck his tongue at her.

Amy giggled at the scene, and seemed rather relaxed toward her. Was it because she didn't seem all stand offish or just because she was interacting with a male that wasn't Sonic? She shook her head but smiled pleasantly enough. Nightshade still didn't like the pink hedgehog...and was still rather hurt as well grudging over the first meeting but perhaps...perhaps they could at some point be friends? After all they had started off on the wrong foot as it was. If Sonic was friends with Amy then surely she wasn't normally rude and so prejudice against new people as she had initially was at this point Tails spoke up. "So, does this mean were working together again?" Nightshade looked at Tails.

Another Hedgehog, who she had not really noticed until now spoke up at this. "Again?" Blinking Nightshade and all but Knuckles and Sonic seemed surprised at his appearance. A pure black male, with white fur and red eyes as well highlights on his quills. Tails only nodded, intent on explaining but was cut off by Amy. "She's helped us beat Dr. Eggman before a while back, but at the time she turned down the offer to join the team." Tails looked like he was about to explain more but glance to Sonic and seemed to think better of it. Finally at this Nightshade cleared her throat before looking at Sonic. "I guess, I'm in." At that a noise was made, and both her and Sonic looked at Knuckles. "Care to explain what's going on, and who she is?" He stated seeming annoyed at the lack of such information being given when he'd first asked who they were. His gaze went from Tails who sighed to Sonic who simply grinned apologetically and then to Lex and her. The second his gaze fell upon her Nightshade blushed deeply again and looked away scratching her cheek.
