Song of the day: Choices by To Kill A King feat Bastille & Friends
It was a brand new day so why was I still angry? Well, I was watching the jocks all grinning and goading their leader Franco into approaching Zara.
"Come on man," one of them said.
"Yeah! I bet you can't score with a British girl," another added.
Franco held up his hands, with a smug smile. "Are you forgetting who I am?"
Zara was busy talking on her cell phone and tidying up the trunk of her car to notice any of them talking about her. They were all staring at her ass when she would bend over, and I was so close to knocking out their teeth.
Franco was the worst. He was a complete jerk that exploited the fact that he was of Italian descent to sleep with girls. Ironic considering Franco could barely speak two words of Italian. Plus he was that typical jock that wore his ridiculous letterman jacket everywhere he went. It was beyond me why so many girls found him hot.
I could no longer remember a time when I wasn't continuously angry since Zara moved into town. These days it seemed like I could phase 24 hours a day seven days a week.
Just then Franco began walking towards Zara. He smoothed down his jacket and fixed his hair before puffing out his chest. The rest of his stupid cronies just continued to egg him on.
My fists clenched as pressure began building in my chest.
By now Zara was preparing herself to leave.
"Hey," Franco called.
Zara turned around then, and when she spotted Franco, she just stared at him.
Man, I wish I knew what was going on inside her head.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
Franco just smiled. "I just have to ask did it hurt when you fell out of heaven?"
Zara stared at him for a second before bursting out laughing. "What?!"
Franco was laughing too. "Sorry I just had to try out a pickup line at least once. Was it any good?"
Zara just shook her head, still laughing softly. "That line was horrendous. Never do it again."
He held out his hand then. "Sure. I'm Franco by the way."
She took it before smiling at him. "Zara."
"I just thought I would come over and welcome you to the school and if you ever needed a tour guide," Franco offered as he pointed at himself.
Zara continued to smile. "Oh well, that's nice of you."
"I honestly wish you talked more because I could listen to you all day. Your accent is just amazing," Franco complemented then.
I was about to puke at this point.
"Well you're in luck because I do like to talk," Zara replied.
Franco grinned. "Well, I will take you up on that. Here is my phone number."
He held out a piece of paper which Zara took. "Have a nice day," he said, and with a nod of his head, he walked off.
He thinks he's so smooth. That ass!
However, Zara could be impressed because she was staring after him.
Maybe she deserves him! After all, they could be jerks together.
Suddenly out of nowhere, Kim arrived. "Zara?"
Zara was still staring after Franco, who was now joking around with his friends. "You know he is quite good looking. Those his eyes. I've always wanted green eyes."
I could tell that Kim was getting uncomfortable with the conversation because she knew I could hear everything. She also looked concerned. "I wouldn't-" she started but reconsidered.
Zara turned then with a puzzled expression on her face. "Wouldn't what?"
Kim looked sheepish now as if feeling sorry for speaking out. "Nothing."
However, just then Jacob arrived.
His expression took Zara by surprise. "Jacob," she laughed softly, "What's up? I've never seen you looking this serious."
Jacob seemed like he was going to walk up to Franco himself and throw a punch. "Zara don't even waste your time talking to that guy. He's only interested in sleeping around."
Zara just smiled. "Aww, you guys are just so sweet."
At this Kim laughed but Jacob still seemed annoyed.
"Don't worry I have no intention of even calling him," Zara comforted, "I may have never dated before, but I know when a guy's got an agenda."
Kim smiled then while Jacob sighed out in relief. It was odd, but Zara's words were like a soothing balm over my anger. I instantly felt all the tension and shaking leave me. My body was still, and it shocked me.
What the hell is happening?

Saturday
It was the evening now, and here I was running towards the screams that echoed through the air. I ran faster towards the edge of the forest where the noise was coming from: The trees had thinned out, and I suddenly spotted Jacob's motorbike tearing up the road which wound around the cliff.
He had a passenger.
It was Zara.
She was standing up with her hands braced on Jacob's shoulders. She was laughing and screaming into the wind as it whipped her long hair around. She looked like one of those biker chicks today. It was an odd look for her. She was dressed head to toe in black, and everything was tight fitting from her jeans to her top. The sun reflected off of her ray bans, and her lips were painted a bright red. Her cropped leather jacket flapped around.
"Woohoo!" She screamed.
Jacob was grinning.
By now the pair had reached the top and Jacob had pulled up in the spot where we always went cliff diving. Zara quickly jumped off, and her cheeks were flushed from all the excitement. Meanwhile, I found myself staring at her body. She always looked like one of those good girls, but today, today she looked-
'Hot damn!' Embry finished in my head.
I growled, and he quickly apologized.
"Jacob, you said you would scare me with how fast you could drive," I heard Zara say then and she was a little out of breath.
Jacob grinned down at her. "Please I knew from the start you couldn't handle it."
Zara pushed her sunglasses up so that they now rested on her head. "Is that so?"
Jacob cocked an eyebrow. "Yup."
I didn't like how close they were standing or how they were teasing each other. My claws sunk further into the forest floor as I watched from behind the cover of trees.
Zara turned towards the direction of the setting sun. She just stared out over the expanse of bright blue sea and the pink and orange sky.
"It is beautiful up here," She said more to herself before closing her eyes to listen to the sounds of the gentle waves hitting the rocks down below.
Jacob just laughed as he settled his arm around her shoulders. "It sure is."
Zara quickly hit his arm away. "Come on as a forfeit you have to teach me how to drive," she told him, and before Jacob could react, she was sitting on his bike.
With a sigh of defeat, Jacob sat behind her. "I'm only going to teach you how to start it today."
I don't like this at all. What the hell is he doing?
"Okay, the throttle is on the right with the breaks directly behind it," Jacob instructed.
Zara eagerly placed her hand on the handlebar.
Jacob reached over her and covered Zara's hand with his. "Good, then all you do is turn it."
I never realized that I could shake this much even in wolf form until I watched this display.
Jacob was guiding Zara's other hand onto the left handlebar. "The clutch is here, and the gears are beside your left foot."
"Cool, I'm ready now," Zara said with enthusiasm.
Jacob laughed. "Well, you might want turn on the ignition."
Zara did as she was told. "Okay now I'm shifting into first gear, and I'm holding in the clutch."
Jacob nodded. "Good."
However, Zara must have realized too quickly since the bike stalled immediately.
Jacob's feet flew out to brace the bike as he and the bike lurched forward. Jacob moved with it and ended up pressing Zara right up against the handlebars.
Suddenly Zara turned then. Jacob met her eyes. There was silence for a moment before they both started laughing.
Jacob breathed a sigh of relief. "Jesus Zara you scared me."
Zara was laughing so hard she fell back against his chest. "The look on your face was priceless."
"Oh come on! You stalled my bike which is facing downhill on a cliff," Jacob answered.
"I tried to break," Zara added.
Jacob was smiling down at her. "What the use breaking when you've stalled?"
My head was about to explode. What was with all the touching and closeness?! I could feel the pressure starting to bubble over. The growl burst out of me and the next thing I knew it was resonating through the air. The branches shook above me.
Zara screamed.
Jacob jumped.
Zara's hands flew straight to her chest. I could hear her thundering heart from where I stood. Good. It was good that she was scared. That's what she gets!
Zara turned to Jacob "What the hell? You never told me there are wolves up here!"
Jacob shifted uncomfortably. "I think it's time to go."
There was no exchange of words this time as Zara switched places with Jacob and they quickly sped off.
Oh dear do you think our little Jacob is being inappropriate?
