The first time I saw the boy with the blue eyes was when the first day I started in high school.

I had finally managed to convince my mother to let me take the bus. After a lot of begging and pleading, she gave in. Her exact words and I quote were,

"Fine Rapunzel. You may take the bus but only if you promise to not ask for another thing again and that you come home straight afterwards from school."

I was so excited for going to high school was a big deal for me. I put my long blonde hair up in a ponytail and wore my new purple and pink outfit.

I waited patiently at the spot the bus was going to appear to pick me up. It wasn't long till it appeared and I quickly jumped in. There were already a few passengers and I sat near the back. I took out my sketch book to pass the time. I looked up every time the bus stopped to pick up more people. I was always curious about new faces I will see at my school.

On the last stop, that's when I saw him. The boy was tall, had white hair and wore a simple blue hoodie. What made him stand out was his glacial blue eyes. I thought he was the most beautiful boy I ever seen.

I wanted to wave to him but he had already taken his seat; two rows in front of me. I simply stared and looked down at my sketch book in my lap. And that's how it was for the next few years.

I saw him at school too but not as much as on the bus. And he always sat in the same seat two rows in front of me. I never had the courage to go up to him and ask his name. He soon became the boy with the blue eyes who sat two seats in front of me.

I made friends and he made his own friends. I could tell we were different type of teenagers but that didn't mean I didn't want to know him. I could see he was a prankster yet he was very gentle.

I could also see that none of his friends seemed to notice and that was him looking rather depressed. He seemed down sometimes and never could understand what it was. He would be laughing one minute and then quiet the next.

I tried to gather my courage to talk to him. I wanted to know the boy with the blue eyes name was. But my mother's sharp words always stopped me from doing so. What would he ever see in me? I was plain childish Rapunzel. No beautiful boy like him would ever have any feelings for me.

That all changed one fateful day. It started out as any morning when I got on my bus. I took out my sketch book that held all my sketches of the boy with the blue eyes. It would be rather embarrassing if he would to ever see that I actually drew him. When the driver came to the spot the boy with the blue eyes got on, I looked up expecting to see him.

But he did not.

The boy with the blue eyes who always sat two seats away from me did not get on. I felt my heart sink. I did see him during school hours and that made me wonder if he was trying to avoid me. If that were the case, mother had been right that no boy would ever like me. Especially the boy with the blue eyes who always sat two seats in front of me. Not a beautiful boy like him.

After school, I didn't see the boy on the bus either. I sighed and tried to forget him. However I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked up to see it was one of the boy's friends.

"I was told to give you this." he handed me a piece of folded up paper before he went back to his seat.

I opened it up and gasped at what was written inside:

"To the girl with the green eyes who sits two seats behind me.

Sorry for not being on the bus but I had to do something important for my parents. I would like to talk to you when you get the chance. Hope to see you.

P. S. You're a very beautiful girl."

I was in shock at this. The boy with the blue eyes who sat two seats i front of me wanted to talk to me? Feeling excited, I raced off the bus at the first stop. I didn't care that this wasn't where I was supposed to get off. I didn't care if mother will be angry. I didn't care if anyone stared at me. The only thing I did care was the beautiful boy with the blue eyes.

I used the address he gave to me in the note and I was at his house in no time. I paused and tried to calm my racing heart. Finally I knocked on the door and waited. I heard footsteps and the door opened. Standing there was the boy with blue eyes who always sat two seats from me on the bus.

"The girl with the green eyes." his voice was soothing to listen to, deep and a little raspy. I felt my cheeks burned before I managed to say,

"The boy with the blue eyes." He chuckled warmly and this made me smile. He had a beautiful laugh too.

"How about we call each other by our names?" he questioned with a playful smirk.

I nodded in agreement and gulped before saying nervously, "I'm Rapunzel. What about you?"

"I'm Jack." Jack. It suits him, "It's great to finally meet you, Rapunzel. I've been waiting for years to talk to you."

I stared up at him, "You…you did?" I asked to make sure I heard right.

"Of course. Over the past few years, ever since I saw you sit behind me two rows on the bus, I thought you were the most beautiful girl I ever saw."

"But I'm not beautiful. You're beautiful." I confessed and Jack laughed again,

"You're beautiful Rapunzel. I'd be lying if you weren't. And I want to get to know you."

"You do?"

"Yes." he whispered as he leaned down. Before I can even speak, his lips found mine. I nearly squeaked as his soft lips brushed against my own. He slowly backed away and smiled at me.

"I know this might sound cheesy but I love you Rapunzel." he said gently and I could see in his deep blue eyes he was being honest. I slowly smiled back at him.

"I love you too, Jack. And I have for a couple years now." I finally confessed.

He leaned back towards me and this time, I welcomed him. I kissed him while wrapping my arms around his neck.

That was how I fell in love with the boy with the blue eyes who sat two seats in front of me.
