Sorry it has taken so long for me to update this.

It had been a few days since the Enterprise had started to follow the trail of the ship that had taken Data's head. They were now in Romulan space so finding it would be difficult. The best hope of finding Data would be if they had stopped at one of the nearby planets, which they were now checking on.

Rhea and Geordi had made use of the time by working on Data's new body. Rhea had been right; it was not as simple as reading the blueprints. They had been able to at least build a skeleton frame but they were having trouble getting farther than that.

"His limps need to be able to take commands from his positronic brain," Geordi said as he reviewed the blueprints again.

"I can get signals to go to the limps, but not in a way that would still enable his body to move."

"Building Data a new body would be pointless if he cannot move. We mind as well just but Data's head on a shelf and let him be a talking head," Rhea answered as she checked to make sure that there were no problems with the skeleton frame they had finished.

"Dr. Soong had found a way to do it and so had Flint when he built you," Geordi said. "We just need to figure out how."

"Geordi, that's it!" Rhea said a huge smile forming across her face.

Geordi turned around to look at Rhea, confused about what she was talking about.

"Think about it Geordi," Rhea said clearly thinking that it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"I'm an android."

At that moment Geordi saw what he was missing. They could take a look at Rhea's inter-workings to see how to rebuild Data.

"You're not the same kind of android that Data is, some of his systems may be different."

"True, but they can help us solve some problems like how to get Data mobile." Rhea said.

Geordi could not deny that Rhea had a point and they had done something similar when they had but Lore back together.

"Let's do it."

At this Rhea smiled.

Meanwhile Picard was having his own problems finding the ship that had taken Data. The Romulan Empire was not small and had many places that a ship that size could hide. Also there was chance that Data's head was no longer on the ship, but on one of the many planets. It was like trying to find a needle in not one but 50 haystacks. The fact that this ship had a few days head start did not help anything.

Picard wasn't going to give up that easily though.

He was now sitting in his ready room looking back over all the information they had to see if it could help them narrow down the list of where to look. They unfortunately didn't have much information to go on.

They had followed the warp signature trail that the ship had left, but it lead into a high traffic area and was lost among all of the different warp trails.

Picard took a deep breath and picked up his cup of tea that was sitting on his desk. As he was drinking his tea it came to him.

There were only two uses that they could have for Data's head and that was to sell it or to use it to try and build their own android, like Commander Maddox wanted to do.

No matter which one they did Data's head would end up in a cybernetics lab. They had found a way to narrow their search down.

With that Picard turned to the laptop on his desk and began researching where the cybernetics labs in the Romulan Empire where.

There were only a handful of cybernetics labs in the Romulan Empire, even less then there where in the Federation. And there wasn't that many in the Federation. This made finding Data a lot easier, it was no longer like find a needle in 50 haystacks. To add to this good news was the fact that one of these cybernetics labs was close to where they currently were.

Picard hit his command badge.

"Helm set a course of Delta Seven."

"Aye, sir," the helm officer answered.

With that Captain Picard walked out onto the bridge.

Delta Seven was a planet close to the Federation and Romulan border. There wasn't many people living there but it held many of the Romulan Empire's science labs and research facilities. Before now the very idea of a Federation ship going into orbit around this planet could have likely started a war. Despite the fact that that has changed in the past few years, Picard did not expect things to go easy. Many people here still had hostile feelings toward the Federation because the Romulan Empire had pushed them to keep developing more and more weapons, instead of devoting research to other projects. Some research labs here had even had to be closed down because of the peace between the Federation and the Romulan Empire.

"Even if that wasn't the case I don't believe that whoever took Data's head would just give it back to us," Picard thought as he looked out at the planet.

"Commander LaForge, please report to the bridge."

In Engineering Geordi had just managed to get a full scan of Rhea, and was able to see how her systems allowed her movement. He was looking for a way to modify that technology to work with positronic systems, when he got the call to report to the bridge.

"I'm on my way," Geordi answered.

"Rhea, see what you can do here until I get back."

Rhea simply nodded and Geordi left for the bridge.

As soon as Geordi got off of the turbolift and onto the bridge, Picard told him what he had found out.

"I believe that there is a good chance that Data's head is on this planet. However I don't believe that we will be able to get it back by simply asking for it. I don't even believe that they will tell us if it is there. Would it be possible though to scan for Data's positronic signal, seeing as that is how Rhea found him in the first place."

"We could, but it will take time and there is no guarantee that we will be able to pick his signal up if it's there," Geordi said. "To be honest I'm surprised that Rhea's scanners were able to pick up his sign at the crash site and there will be a lot more things there that can interfere with the scanners."

After a short pause Geordi added, "But we can try."

"Make it so."

It was a lot easier to scan then Geordi thought though. Geordi took a closer look at the different kinds of labs that where down there and found that there was only one cybernetics lab. With this new information Geordi scanned that lab first and as soon as he scanned it the computer picked up a positronic signal coming from the center of the lab.

They had found Data.
