Okay first of all, Kenichi's back story in this is terrible. I usually do a much better job but the person who usually helps me with my fics has been missing for a little over four months now and I think something has happened to her.
So forgive me if things don't make any sense or anything. And if it's a little too brutal... Just remember that this is a fiction story.
And yes, this is going to be a fem Kenichi fic. Though it's a tossup as far as pairing goes.

Once Akisame was done checking on Sakaki to make sure that he had treated his injuries correctly, he then went about treating Takeda (and even checked his arm to make sure that Kenichi hadn't accidentally undone all of his hard work) before quickly moving on to treat the guy that his student had almost killed.
His mind going over what Honoka had said just moments ago before the other kids had shown up to help.
He was finding it more than a little bit hard to believe that his normally timid and meek little pupil was capable of killing anyone, much less the fact that he had already killed before. And yet while he found it hard to believe...after what he and Sakaki had witnessed Kenichi do mere minutes ago. It also seemed to be well within the realm of reality. Especially if Kenichi, just as Honaka had confessed, suffered from split personality disorder.
Which is why once he finally finished treating everyone, Akisame moved back over to where Sakaki sat on the ground, with Kenichi laid out next to him, well within reach- and sat down.
"Alright Honoka. Everyone has been treated, no one is in any immediate danger- So explain what you were talking about when you said that Kenichi suffered from split personality disorder." The girl opened her mouth and began to slowly speak, as if she were struggling with her own words or something.
"Ken-chan- I- Everything started when mom and dad got mixed up with a yakuza group. We were really young back then. And I don't think that our parents really actually knew that the guys were yakuza. But Ken-chan was always unusually smart about things. He didn't even always have to be present to know that something was wrong or off about someone. And he knew there was something off about those guys. They kept coming to the house and following us to and from school. I was barely four and had just started school, but Ken-chan... S- He being several years older than I was. Already had a little bit of a reputation for stuff."
"Stuff?"
Honoka shrugged her small shoulders, "I don't know a lot of it. All I know is that around the time that our parents fell into debt and the yakuza guys began showing an abnormal interest in us... Ken-chan began to disappear for days at a time and would always come back home after two to four days covered in bruises and cuts and other things. Sometimes s- he would even be found standing outside our house at two or three am in the morning. S- His PJ's would be ripped and torn... And then after about a few weeks or so, mom and dad started asking questions. But Ken-chan would just shake he- his head and say nothing. Stating that it was far better not to know."
"And then one day I was walking by he- his room while he was supposed to be resting, and I heard a funny noise. Mom and dad were out, and Ken-chan was home from school to rest because s- he had been sick the previous two days. Well at first I didn't think anything of it. But then I heard it again. That funny noise, so I went to see what it was."
"And?"
Honoka hesitated for a second or two, there was a look of total dread on her face as she cast a quick glance towards her brother. "I don't know how but there were two men in Ken-chan's room with he- er him. Both were in a semi state of undress and they were- were... They were raping Ken-chan. The noise that I had heard was the sound of Ken-chan being choked everytime sh- he opened his mouth to scream."
Of all the things Akisame and the others had thought that they would hear, that horrifying fact wasn't among any of them.
"Apparently when Ken-chan had began disappearing- the yakuza guys were involved. They would grab Ken-chan and do whatever they wanted to he- er, him. Most times they would take him to an old warehouse that they had turned into a sort of sick play place. And to add insult to injury once they were done with Ken-chan they would throw some money down on he- er him and then laugh while telling him that our parents allowed them to use him in such a way because he was a burden and they needed the money that his rapes provided. And Ken-chan...after being used like that for about a month or so without our parents intervening, began to believe them."
Feeling sick to his stomach, Akisame loked over at Sakaki who had at some point reached out and grabbed their pupil up off of the ground and was holding him in his arms as if he were trying to shield him.
"W-What does that have to do with him killing someone or the split personality-"
"I'm getting to that, so stop interrupting," Honoka snapped before she continued speaking. "M-My b-brother has always been a strong person. Quick witted and fast on his feet. There wasn't anything that went on in our home town that he didn't know of to some degree. And when the men began to grab him and do things to him, he knew that it was only a matter of time before they came after me too. And he was right. They grabbed me one day while I was in the back yard playing. I didn't even see them coming. One minute I was playing and the next- I was gone. And when I woke up, I was tied to a chair facing a place just beyond a chain link fence and there were three other kids there. All girls, all my age, and all of them were naked, bound and crying."
"I heard someone come up beside me and say, 'Watch close, Shirahama. You're going to be next.' And before I could even ask what he meant, a couple of guys walked in with some dogs on chain leashes. They helped the dogs...the girls screamed and cried...and then when the dogs were done- the guys cut them several times and then let the dogs off of their leashes and- Oh my god the- the screams an the blood! It was everywhere until the sound died down to a pained gurgling sound and I couldn't look away! Then I heard a sound from beside me again and thought it was the man from before coming back to get me, but when I turned my head to look I found Ken-chan standing there with this look on his face."
"S- He wore this utterly calm and disgusted look on his face that I've only seen three times before in my whole life and nothing good ever follows. Anyways, he took a moment or so to drag the guy that he had knocked out over to the fence and then tied him there with the same ropes that had been used on me and then used his shoe laces to tie the fence gate closed at the top and just below the middle and then he grabbed me and picked me up and ran outside of the building because the men were coming and hadn't seen him yet."
"The second that he was outside, he slammed the door and then jammed it closed so that even if they got out of the fenced in area- they wouldn't be able to escape the building. And then he pulled me to the side and told me to start walking and not to stop no matter what because things were about to get ugly. I did what he said and started walking, and while I did that, at some point my brother had prepared several molotov cocktail's that he used to set fire to the building with the men and the dogs inside."
"The men died. The dogs died. And because we lived our family would become targets if we ever went back. That was assuming of course that our dad and mom weren't contracted in some way to kill us to keep us from going to the authorities. So we didn't go back. We left town and our parents and came here, where Ken-chan enrolled me in school and made arrangements for me to be taken care of. He faked our parent's death certificates so that we could even be adopted. And shortly after the papers went through, Ken-chan began to act strangely. S- He suffered from blackouts, insomnia, and other things. He began disappearing again. And then about a month after we were adopted, our new parents received a call that Ken-chan had been found unconscious and bleeding from self inflicted wounds that s- he had no memory of giving himself."
"He was held at the hospital for observation for close to six months before he was diagnosed with split personality disorder, depression as well as PTSD. He would likely suffer from painc attacks, blackouts, memory loss and other things for the rest of his life. For a while he was deemed a suicide risk, and was to be given medications and watched. That went on for about a year after his release. During which time we noticed various behavior patterns in Ken-chan that helped us determine the number of different personalities. So far, there are just two. The one that you already know and then the other...a girl personality that we simply know as Saya."
"Ken-chan is very meek and mild mannered whereas Saya is very quiet, calm- mostly anyways, calculating, and incredibly angry when something triggers her temper. She's also the stronger of the two. Her personality is why the failsafe exists. We needed something to help us stop her if she should lose control. So mom and dad took Ken-chan to see a hypno-therapist who put Ken-chan under hypnosis. The song's were used because even if Ken-chan hears them in his day to day life, the hypnosis is only triggered by one of us singing it during times of danger."
"When Kenichi wakes up, which personality will we be in the presence of?"
"Dunno. Saya was pretty pissed. And even though the failsafe was used, there's no guarantee if it'll be Ken-chan that we wind up with. Saya tends to come and go as she pleases and simply allows Ken-chan time between."
"I see." Was all that Akisame could say as he cast a quick glance over at Kenichi, or should he say Saya since Honaka had kept tripping over her words and had all but spelled out the truth for them with her innocent blunder. He just wasn't totally sure if anyone aside from himself and Sakaki had caught on just yet.
