North paced around the globe room, Jack had missed the weekly Guardian meetings for the last thirty days and, though they all searched everywhere they could think of, Jack had seemed to vanish from the Earth which had the rest of the Guardians worried.

A tunnel opened up in the floor of the globe room and, not long after, Bunny hopped out of it. "I just talked to Jamie and he said that Jack was forced under the ice of his pond by Pitch and never resurfaced. I went to search under the, now melted, pond but was unable to find him."

"You think Pitch has him?" North questioned as he stared at Bunny.

"I don't know North but am hoping that he doesn't. Sandy went to search in his lair to see if he can Jack, if he can't... I know what to do." Bunny's ears fell back against his back.

Sandy glided along, in hope that he'll find Jack and get him out before Pitch discovered he is here, not realizing that Pitch already knew he was there and had set up a trap for him. Pitch started to laugh as Sandy stepped into the spot he wanted him to and the dream giver spun around, only to find himself surrounded by Pitch's shadows. When they vanished he found himself in front a glowing mirror..

"Goodbye Sandy." He grinned as he pushed him into the mirror though Sandy fought to escape. There was a flash of light and Pitch laughed when he noticed the Sandman was no longer in sight.

Jack had just woken up and was shaking the snow from his fur when Twilight came speeding toward him, a anxious look on her face. "Jack, you're needed at the palace right now, someone else has come through and... well just come with me." She gasped.

With a quick nod Jack spread his wings and flew after Twilight to the palace throne room where a group surrounded someone. "I got him." Twilight announced as her and Jack landed outside the circle of mares.

The mares parted so Jack could get a look at who they had surrounded. "Sandy?" Jack got out as he stared at the golden, rather smallish, Pegasus stallion. Said stallion whipped around, having recognized Jack's voice, and threw himself at the alicorn prince.

"Wh-what happened? How did you get here?" Jack stuttered as he met Sandy's eyes.

Sandy concentrated a minute before sand rose from off his body to form pictures. "What's he doing, how's he doing that with the sand if he isn't a unicorn?" Rarity demanded to know.

Jack blinked at her before he smiled. "He can't talk, he's mute." He told Rarity then turned to Celestia. "He uses his dream sand to talk for him." He informed her.

"I understand, now I think you and Sandy have much to discuss, I shall have Prince Shining Armor show you to a place you may visit in peace, Prince Jack Frost." Jack blushed at her calling him a prince in front of Sandy, who raised an eyebrow at him in question.

"I'll explain later, once we're alone." Jack mutters as Shining Armor trotted over to them. Sandy nodded once in understanding as he followed Jack, who followed Shining Armor, out of the room and to another where they could talk.

"Thank you Shining Armor." Jack said once they were shown to a room. Shining Armor nodded, with a smile, and trotted off. As soon as Jack closed the door he turned to Sandy, who was staring at him with raised brows and a slight 'you better explain to me about the prince thing' expression on his face.

Jack chuckled as he sat down on his haunches, "Yeah... about that, the thing is any... um... pony who has both the horn of a unicorn and wings of a Pegasus is considered royalty here, unless of course you married to royalty, like Shining Armor. His wife is an alicorn, that's what we're called, princess named Mi Amore Cadenza or Cadance for short."

Sandy formed a question mark above his head, "Why am I a alicorn?" Jack guessed and Sandy nodded. "Hm, I think it might be because of who, what, I am. I work both with the sky and earth, I can ride the wind but I also play with the children who can't fly." He explained.

Sandy looked at the floor as he thought over what Jack told him before he, once more, formed a question mark. Jack tilted his head as he tried to guess what Sandy was asking this time. Sandy formed an outline of Tooth, Bunny and North followed by the question mark.

"Oh, I don't know about North but I can definitely see Tooth as a Pegasus and Bunny as an earth pony. North could be either a Pegasus, unicorn or earth pony." Jack shrugged. "How's Jamie doing?" He suddenly asked.

Sandy silently sighed as he created a sad face. "Yeah, I miss him too. I wish there was some way I could get home, for both of us to get home. I got so wrapped up with doing stuff here that I forgot about going home, which I think is Pitch's plan." Jack remarked.

"What do you mean Sandy is now missing!" North all but shouted once Tooth reported to him what Baby Tooth, who had trailed him, saw.

"Pitch has some sort of glowing mirror that he pushed Sandy into and he vanished before Baby's eyes. Do you think that what happened to Jack?" Tooth replied.

"Jamie did say that he saw a flash of light after Jack slipped under the ice so I'm sure, where ever Pitch sent them, they're together." Bunny spoke up when North didn't say anything.

"We'll figure this out, don't worry, and when we do we'll both Sandy and Jack home, where they belong." North declared, which made Bunny and Tooth smile as they agreed.

Jamie let out a sigh as he stared across, the melted water, of Jack's pond, his friends right behind him and Sophie beside him. Unknown to them they were being surrounded by shadows slowly until the pond in front of them was swallowed up by a deep blackness.

"Where are we?" Monty's voice quivered once they were able to see again.

"Where are you, well you're in my lair. Please make yourselves at home, for you will be staying here a while." Pitch taunted from the shadows before he separated the group, except Sophie, sending them into different cages.

"Let us go Pitch." Jamie demanded as he gripped ahold of the bars on the cage he was in.

Pitch pretended to think about it but smirked at Jamie before he answered, "No, you are my bait for Bunny. You see, I know that he favors little Sophie more than any other child." He sneered as he moved closer to the youngest child of the group.

Sophie cowered on the floor as Pitch drew near her and ran a hand through her hair. "Leave my sister alone!" Jamie shouted as Pitch grapped a lock of her hair and cut it off before he sent her to her own cage.

Pitch ignored Jamie as he called for one of his nightmares, "Deliver this to the Easter Guardian so he knows that I have his precious Sophie." He ordered than turned and vanished into the shadows as the nightmare left to do as told.
