Slytherin Slaves

Chapter 2

Draco was afraid. His wrists burned. Looking down at the tattoo on his wrist, Draco blanched. The tattoo was filled with welts, looking very raw. Draco didn't take this as a good thing considering the Gryffindor noble beside him was oozing with rage and the tattoo his father was given was smooth.

Draco glanced at the Gryffindor beside him. The Gryffindor had dark raven locks and emerald eyes. He looked every bit of a noble with his expensive clothes and uptight posture. As if sensing him, the Noble looked at him with a raised eyebrow and a smirk spread across his face. Draco quickly looked away, his eyes landing on the other passengers in the carriage. There was another Slytherin, a slave sitting opposite him. The Slytherin had a dark complexion and seemed to be from a foreign family. The man beside the Slytherin, his owner Draco assumed, didn't seem to be much of a noble. His posture was more carefree and while his clothes were not rags, did not compare to the other Gryffindor beside him.

Draco wondered if this Gryffindor was a servant or maybe a consort. Before Draco could dwell on it too much, the carriage jerked, stopping abruptly. The carriage door opened and Draco was grabbed by the wrist and pulled out of the carriage. The Gryffindor noble didn't give him much time to recover and dragged him into a mansion that Draco only glanced at. It seemed that Draco was right in his assumption of this noble being rich, very, very rich.

Draco was led through a maze of hallways. He could hear hurried footsteps following them. Draco wondered if either he had done something wrong or if this involved his tattoo. Before Draco could ponder on this thought he was shoved into an infirmary.

Harry scowled as Draco stumbled and landed sprawled on the floor. He hadn't meant to shove him so hard but he had to get that tattoo healed. He watched as Lucius went to his son and helped him up, directing a glare towards Harry.

Harry frowned deeper at the glare but ignored it as he turned his attention towards Madame Pomfrey.

Madame Pomfrey had slight greying hair with bright blue eyes. She had worked for the Potters as a nurse for many years, before Harry was born. She looked startled at Harry's rough treatment towards Draco but straitened immediately when Harry's gaze turned towards her. While Madame Pomfrey had known the boy since he was little, she had started to get nervous recently due to Harry's fast approaching inheritance.

"Madame Pomfrey, please come and look at this," Harrys voice was soft but stern, as he grabbed Draco's wrist and turned it upwards to show his nurse. Madame Pomfrey tenderly grabbed Draco's wrist and gave it a glance. A frown immediately formed her face.

As soon as Harry saw it his worry grew. "Is it bad?"

Madame Pomfrey glanced at him and shook her head. "No, but he will need to apply a potion on it every day, for at least a month." she answered. She quickly gestured for Draco to sit as she went to get the potions she needed. Draco looked at the bed the nurse, Madame Pomfrey, had asked him to sit on. He wasn't exactly sure if he was allowed and he didn't want to upset his new master so soon.

Harry quickly noticed Draco's distress. "Sit Draco," said, his voice commanding. Draco basically jumped to sit down. Lucius who had been observing quietly, scowled at his son's behavior.

Harry, who seemed to notice everything, smirked. "Don't like your son following orders, Do you, Malfoy?" Harry tone was smug as he tsk-ed and stalked towards Lucius. Once he was close enough, Harry leaned close and whispered into Lucius' ear. "But that's your own fault isn't it?" he whispered. "Couldn't protect your own son. You do realize what that makes you, right?" Harry paused slightly. "It makes you weak."

Lucius felt anger well up inside him. 'Who the hell did this boy think he was? He might be a Lord but so was he. A Slytherin Lord at that.' Lucius stood straight. "What would you know about protecting family, Mr. Potter? Unless you've already managed to impregnate a bimbo. After all, I wouldn't put it past you Gryffindors." Lucius sneered.

Harry narrowed his eyes. Lucius felt smug but before he could smirk a loud crack filled the room. Tense silences hang in the air. Draco sat on the bed his eyes wide filled with fear while Lucius stood slightly bent holding his stinging cheek. Harry on the other stood straight his fists clenched by his side. He took a step towards Lucius, who flinched.

"Ah here we are Mr. Potter," Madame Pomfrey made a quick appearance holding a tray of potions. She hurried to Draco and set the tray beside him.

Harry averted his attention from Lucius towards Draco. He quickly brushed by Lucius to stand next to Draco. "You will need to have him drink these two potions once a day," Madame Pomfrey indicated picking up two potions, one a sickly grey and another bright purple. She handed one to Harry. He grabbed hold of Draco's chin, who flinched slightly causing Harry to frown, and tilted his head to feed him the potion. Harry repeated this action with the next potion. Madame Pomfrey nodded, "Good," and grabbed the last potion from the tray handing it to Harry. "Now this you will need to rub into his wrist once a day, preferably after he has drank his potions."

Harry nodded before grabbing Draco's wrist gently and rubbing the salve in carefully. Harry looked towards Madame Pomfrey, "What could have caused such a reaction?"

"I'd say an allergic reaction because of the welts. But judging by how raw it looks, I'd say the needle, which was used to apply his tattoo, was also used to apply someone else's tattoo. This can cause a reaction due to the mix of blood." *

Harry nodded; he didn't really understand the last part but had gotten the answer he wanted.

Harry briskly walked his way out the mansion; a hard grip on his arm had Draco walking beside him while Lucius trailed behind. He led his slaves quickly to the carriage out front, were Remus waited along with his slave.

Remus slid his way out of the carriage and approached Harry. "And?"

Harry shook his head. "He'll be fine. But could you get in contact with Amelia for me?"

Remus raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"It seems the infection Draco has could have been caused by the laziness of the slave traders."

Remus nodded, before glancing at the two blondes. "You do realize that they must stay here, right?"

Harry scowled. "Draco needs to be given potions every day."

Remus nodded when he got a look at his nephews face. 'Let's hope that's enough for the Ministry,' he thought, before hoping into the carriage.
