AN: sorry for the lateness of this chapter. I've had a bit of writers block and not for sure how I want to proceed with this story. I think I have it figured out now, but I am unsure. So please expect a few delays here and there. I apologize for any misplaced words, or words use incorrectly. I am human and there will be mistakes. I will try to re-read the chapters as much as possible before posting. On that note here is the next chapter, enjoy and review.

Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Knight or any of the characters! I only own Akemi.

Part Four

Zero walked into the classroom. He sighed heavily throwing his books on the desk in front of him. He was not in the mood to be here, but he had to watch over Yuki. Of course he would have watched over her even if Kaname didn't ask him to. He sat in the chair and scanned the room. All the usual students were present. Yuki was late. He narrowed his eyes. Yuki was usually here before him, sitting and talking with her friend Yori. He scanned the area noting the young girl was taking her seat, she turned and talked to another student that was close to her. With a shake of his head he moved to stand and ask Yori where her roommate was but stopped when he heard Yuki's laughter. He smiled and looked up towards the entrance. His smile faltered. There was the one person both he and Kaname did not want her around. Akemi. He leaned back in his chair and rubbed his face. His purple hues looked over the two girls. Looking as Yuki came to her seat by Yori, Akemi sat next to her. He sighed heavily he would have to figure a way to get that girl away from her. He leaned forward, glaring daggers to the girl. Slowly she turned and looked at him, her head tilted to the side, her hair which was curled the other day, was now straight and was held back by two clips that held little ravens. The light was hitting off her hair giving it a shiny gloss. Akemi shrugged at him and turned, sitting back in her seat only to look to the front of the room. She didn't talk to either girl, and seemed transfixed on the board. Zero looked around the room and noted that some of the guys in the class was looking at Akemi and was even whispering about her. Zero couldn't deny that she was nice looking. Though she tended to stay away from the other students. She wouldn't speak to them, even if they asked her a question she would nod her head yes or no or just give a short simple answer. Even now as he watched her now, she only spoke when Yuki directly asked her a question. It was as if she was trying her best not to connect with any one. Zero pondered for a moment as to why this could be but he couldn't place it. The bell rang and quickly the rest of the students started to take their seats as the teacher came in slamming a book down on the desk in front of him. Zero moaned inwardly. Not this bastard again. Zero leaned back into the seat, there was no use in trying to sleep through this class. Mr. Areneguy taught his classes with an iron fist striking fear into all of his students. Zero's eyes skimmed over to Akemi who just leaned forward head on the palm of her with a look that read,' Really? This again?' He smirked, yesterday she had torn into Mr. Areneguy looked as if he had a rock thrown at his head with her answers. Today would be rather interesting.

Akemi sat there as the teacher walked in. She rolled her eyes. She was hoping that this man would be a bit more appreciative of his students. That thought changed as soon as he laid his eyes on her. Instantly he stiffened, his eyes narrowed at her. He walked towards the desk slamming his books down causing the students to jump. He chuckled. Akemi shook her head, causing her red and black hair fall in her face. She turned her head and looked at Yuki who held a look of terror in her eyes. Slowly Akemi looked to the front of the room as Mr. Areneguy started to speak. What he said went in one ear and out the other. She took her notes with an absent mind. She really wasn't all there today. She barely slept a wink, and the only thing that covered that covered the dark circles under her eyes was the makeup that she applied. Dreams of blood and gore came to her everytime she would fall back to sleep. She finally gave up on sleep at five thirty in the morning and decided to straighten her hair after a much needed shower. Even now while she was awake a feeling of foreboding came over her. The teacher in front of the class seemed on edge, almost as if he were about to snap at some point or other. Shrugging it off, Akemi rubbed her face careful not to ruin the effects the makeup gave off. She looked at the board and pondered the question, this time instead of reading minds she would try to work the problem out herself. Of course she had it figured out before he could even finish the explanation of how to work the problem out. She leaned back and over to Yuki's paper the girl was having a fairly hard time, Akemi leaned over whispering as she helped the other girl out. Yuki looked up as she was taught a simpler way of finishing the problem. It was actually easier the way Akemi pointed out. Akemi smiled and looked to the board again, the math problem laid forgotten as another problem was placed on the board. It was harder than the other problem he had just issued to the class. Of course Akemi started working on the problem but stopped when eyes were on her. She looked around confusion evident in her eyes. She heard a snicker and looked towards the front of the room. A girl with blond white with pale jade eyes looked up at her before looking towards the teacher. A throat was cleared and Akemi looked at the teacher.

"Miss Matsue, I asked you to come up here and solve this problem," He snickered," Of course if you can't do it…."

He trailed off not finishing his sentence. Her blood boiled, she stood up grabbing her note book and headed towards the front of the room. Holding out her small hand for the chalk, she said nothing. Her gray hues looked darker. She was fuming inside, how dare he try to put her on the spot and make a fool out of her? 'No he would be the fool,' she thought to herself as the chalk fell into her hand. She wasted no time in writing the answer down on the board. The room was silent as she looked over her answer. With a nod confirming she was done, she placed the chalk down, she wanted to throw it at him, but wasn't in the mood to deal with the consequences that followed. She looked up at him, pleased as his mouth opened and closed like a fish that had come out of water. He looked at her clenching his fist as she turned and walked to her seat. The class room was quite for the remainder of class.

As the bell signaled for the class to end, Akemi grabbed her belongings and started to leave but stopped when her name was called out. She looked over her shoulder and saw Yuki running to catch up to her closely followed by Zero. She couldn't help but smile. Would it hurt to be friends with the young girl? No, surely it wouldn't , maybe it would benefit from it. Shifting the bag onto her left shoulder she turned and waited for the duo with a sincere smile. Yuki came up slapping her on the back causing the girl to move forward a bit. She smiled but caught her balance," You have a strong slap Yuki. I can why Zero is a bit agitated when you do that." She would laugh and look at Zero," Um…Thank you Zero for yesterday I'm sorry for causing you trouble."

She was answered with a 'whatever' as he looked around the now empty room. Yuki laughed softly and turned to Akemi," The next class you have is with me. Its home economics."

At this Zero laughed," Yeah something you are no good in."

"That's so mean! I can't help I can't cook certain things, but there are things I can cook with out burning," She would huff crossing her arms over chest. There was a light pat on her back and she looked locking eyes with Akemi.

"Don't worry I'm not that good either." Akemi said with a soft smile," we should go ahead and go so we are not late, maybe we can pair up with someone who knows how to do this kind of thing."

Yuki smiled grabbing the girls hand," Alright lets go! See you later Zero!" She exclaimed grabbing the girls hand in a tighter grip and started to run down the hall.

Akemi gasped out and laughed softly as she went with the burnet girl down the hall wondering what the rest of the day held in store.

The last bell of the day rang out. Akemi was exhausted. The rest of the day went smoothly, nothing had happen. No visions of blood and guts, it was all blank. She was walking down the main steps when she spotted Yuki and Zero walking towards the moon dorms. Biting her lower lip, Akemi looked towards where her dorm was and then back to the moon dorms. She couldn't help but admit that she was curious as to what had all the day students wanting to go and look at the other students. She stood there tapping her foot. She could also use this time to go for a smoke. So many decisions so little time. Finally giving into her curiosity she moved in the opposite direction. "Oh what the hell, I'll go once just to check it out.." She told herself and followed the two.

After what seemed like a walk from hell she came upon a curious scene. All of the days students were running towards the gates with such a force she wondered how Yuki didn't get hurt in this whole mess. She came closer to the students she placed her bag next to a tree and ran next to Yuki. How she managed to get so close she wasn't for sure but she started pushing. She heard a gasped and she turned smiling sweetly,"Yea I know I'm breaking the rules but its like this…I rather get in trouble for helping than just standing around."

Yuki Nodded," Right. Ok girls get back!" And with that she gave a push along with Akemi's help. Zero was yelling grabbing a girl as she was trying to climb the wall.

After what seemed like ages the front gates open. Both girls turned to look and heard the squeals from their classmates around them. Both wasn't expecting the girls to move so quickly that they stumbled forward. Akemi caught herself, then caught Yuki from falling to the ground by grabbing her jacket. Yuki sighed in relief and whispered a small thank you. Akemi smiled about to speak when screams of names left the girls and the boys mouth. She turned around and stood mouth opened wide as she spotted that people who exited the building. They were stunning, and their auras just pushed out from around them. She looked to Yuki and back again. The power that came from them sent shivers down her spine, as goosebumps rose on her skin. She rubbed her arms. This feeling was not right. What were they?

As they came out, a young blonde with blue eyes start "shooting" at the girls who would faint. Akemi placed her hands on her hips,"Is he for real?" she whispered to Yuki who only sighed and lowered her head as she nodded. Akemi shook her head and turned but gasped raising her fist back punching the said blonde in the face on instinct," OH SHIT!" she yelled as he fell back on the ground," I'm sooo sorry." She looked to Yuki for help whose eyes widen, her hands covering her mouth as she looked to both students. She looked to Zero who held a look of amusement and glee written in his eyes. Neither moved, and she wasn't for sure if she should run for it or stay put. She squirmed as the silence was deafening. It felt as if no one was breathing. Akemi felt a power reach out that seemed as if her skin would be peeled off. Finally the blonde sat up rubbing his jaw, eyes wide as he looked at the girl who took a few steps back. He smiled softly," Akemi Matsue I thought that was you I saw."

Her breath caught in her throat she spoke in a shaky voice, "Aido Hanabusa?"

AN: OK I hope you enjoyed this chapter, she finally meets the Night Class and she punched Aido in the face. Completely by reflex. I thought it would be good to put in a nice comedic scene into my story. But I have ben thinking of having a character that has met her before and instead of making another OC why not have a fan favorite know her? Don't worry I'll get to how they met shortly. But since she has punched him im pretty sure there will be repercussions from the Day class girls because he is their Idol. Well please let me know what you think. That means you should leave a review, please?
