Castiel didn't take his eyes off of Delilah, ignoring Dean's outburst, he walked closer to Delilah. Oh god, he hadn't seen her in so long, he felt everything rushing back to him. The moment their lips first met, the birth of their child, her jumping into the fire and saving the world but then leaving him alone in the world again. He had promised himself that day that he wouldn't get close to anyone again but now, now he couldn't help himself.
Delilah was overwhelmed, it was him, he was here and she was out finally. She lightly stepped forward, almost afraid if she touched him, he would disappear and she would be alone once again. He drew into her, pressing his body against hers and before anyone could process what was happening their lips met and they pushed themselves to the wall. They were almost combining their very beings again, forming into each other. Castiel embraced her and it was as if the hole he once had was filled now.
Dean stood there, mouth opened and staring at the angel before him. He didn't believe his eyes. Castiel was kissing a woman. OK it was Delilah but still you sorta feel proud after the attempts Dean had to get Castiel some, he was finally getting some. He couldn't help but smile but then he felt like he was invading someone's privacy.
"Ah Shouldn't we ah leave," Dean whispered as not to disturb the reunited couple.
"Just give it a sec, this is the first time in a century Castiel will be getting some," Gabriel was giddily swaying his head.
"Aww dude sick, he's your own brother, you're not gonna watch are you?" Dean felt revolted, he then made his way out of the room hoping Bobby's place wasn't that far.
Gabriel pouted before following Dean out the doorway, "Where do you think you're going?"
"Home, where do you think?" Dean sneered before turning to Gabriel who seemed to find it hilarious, "What's so funny Chuckles?"
"You do know we are in England right?" Gabriel was finding the whole thing amusing, Dean walked up to Gabriel.
"You transported to the other side of the world!" Dean was furious but pushed that aside, he knew Gabriel was his only way of getting back to Bobby's and he wasn't going to be stuck in England, "Ok then, do you mind zapping me back then?" He wasn't really asking more like telling yet again.
"I can't believe she's back," Gabriel completely ignored Dean's request, turning his head to the now closed door.
They heard a thump and then a slight and giddy giggle from the room.
"Ok now, now, we go now," Dean rapidly grabbed Gabriel's hand who zapped immediately back to Bobby's.
Sam and Bobby were still trying to locate where Gabriel had taken Dean but the damn angel didn't stop moving. That was when the two in question popped before with a shocked Dean and a giddy Gabriel, they weren't happy.
"What the hell! Where have you been?" Sam raced to his brother and glared at Gabriel.
Gabriel pouted, "Don't blame me, I think it was Castiel who had scarred him not me," That only seemed to make Gabriel more giddy like a twelve year old girl who had just been asked out by her crush.
"What, Dean what's he talking about?" Bobby walked, gruffly and stared at the stunned Dean.
"Ah I- I think Castiel will be getting some tonight," Dean scrunched his face before turning to Gabriel, "What did he mean she went into labour?" Gabriel shrugged at Dean, he honestly didn't know what Cassie meant by it but as soon as his little reunion was over he would ask.
"Ok tell what the hell is going on right now, we always seem to be the ones on the catch-up train, spill," Sam shouted before glaring at Dean expecting an explanation.
"Ok, Ok then just give me a sec," Dean sat down on the couch and braced himself, "You know Delilah, well she's back and she is hot," Gabriel couldn't disagree but Sam glared harder at Dean, "Ok, well we found Cass at her old house and when me and him were talking a portal opened up, it looked as though it was getting it's juice from him or something like that and then she popped out."
"Just like that?" Bobby moved closer, somewhat doubting the story.
"Just like that," Dean replied.
"Where are they then?" Sam questioned, he thought he knew the answer but still asked anyway, it seemed the right thing to ask at that moment.
"Delilah's house and I suspect he is having the most infamous reunion party," Gabriel wiggled his eyebrows before taking a sit and giving them all a smug smile.
"Okay, too much information there," Sam protested and grunted in disgust.
"What I would like to know is how she came back?" Bobby ruffed. It was a good point and everyone in the room fell silent at that question. Even Gabriel's smug face ceased and he stared at them.
"I never thought of that," Dean mumbled, he now knew. Delilah couldn't have just come back. No something else was at play.
"True, there is no way any of the angels did it, I would've known and no way she could have pulled it off all by herself," Gabriel applied, he wasn't liking this and Cassie wasn't going to like this either, definitely not, "I mean she's good, but she ain't that good.'
"So what, she's some kind of demon?" Sam asked, fear increasing on his face. Cass was with her and if she was a demon, a powerful one than that meant Cass could be in all sorts of danger.
"No, if she was a demon of any kind I would have sensed it," Gabriel got up, clearly things were spinning in his head.
"What if she made a deal?" Bobby wasn't technically asking but more putting it out there and for truth, it made them all stand in silence yet again.
"What if she's hurting Cass?!" Dean wanted to go back, he wanted his friend by his side right now and he wasn't going to let anyone get in his way.
"Delilah wouldn't do that," Gabriel defended getting up and facing Dean, he may have had doubts in Delilah's return but he would never even think of what Dean had just thought.
"And you know this… how?" Dean challenged him, meeting his gaze. Sam and Bobby cast weariful looks. This wasn't going to end pretty but the Dean did have a point in this case.
"You don't know her like I do, like Cass does, she would never do anything, anything to hurt my brother," Gabriel's eyes turned cold with fury, it reminded Dean of when they had confronted him about being an angel, glaring daggers at them.
"She was in there for what… over two hundred years, you don't think she wouldn't change?" Dean knew what it was like and he had only survived thirty unforgiving years down there, two hundred would have made him nothing but a shell of the man he used to be.
"Well why don't you just ask me?" All their heads spun around to face two figures standing in the archway. Delilah and Castiel. Delilah had a smirk on her face, smiling at them with eyebrow raised, clearly not bothered of what they were accusing her of but Castiel was burning his eyes into them, looking close to murder as he waited for the next words.
"Um look…" Dean calmed his voice, trying to be reasonable towards Cass, who clearly looked as though like he wanted to murder him, them.
"How dare you accuse her of such horror, you have no right!" Castiel looked as though he would pounce upon Dean but Delilah laid a hand upon him and soon his rage simmered but not completely.
"Look Castiel, we were just worried about it," Sam stepped up, reasoning and earning a deathly glare from Cass, "I mean, none of this is exactly normal and when something like this happens, normally there are strings attached, we were just looking out for you, that's all."
"He's right Castiel, I mean can you blame them really, I come back with no real reason as to why, come on," Delilah caressed Castiel's face and looked deeply into his eyes. Castiel's eyes returned, looking deeply and without words they seemed to be having a conversation, their facial expressions would change from relief to angry to understanding. When finally, they both turned and stared at the rest of them.
"I don't know how I am back or even why but I know someone wanted me out, I mean down there you hear things, rumours and stuff, Lucifer rising and stuff and I heard someone wanted me out but I don't know shit about it but I won't deny for a second that I'm glad that I am out of that hellhole, literately," Delilah shrugged but Dean saw it in her eyes, not that she was lying but the memories deep within them, the fire, the burning, the pain.
"Well, I guess I better do something then," Bobby wheeled himself off to his desk, burying himself within his books.
Over the hours, Gabriel disappeared, saying something about having to have his own infamous reunion and Sam grew tired and left for bed. Delilah was welcomed to stay the night there and soon Castiel left for some duties he had to attended to. Leaving Delilah and Dean alone in the house.
"I knew you recognized me," Delilah said, her eyes staring out of the window. Dean looked at her puzzled, he did think he had known her but she was slipping each time he managed to place her.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Which was a lie he did know something but he didn't know what it was, only that it made his stomach turn everything he thought about it.
"I saw it in your eyes but I think you've suppressed it seeming as I was your first," Dean turned to her, he now saw her in a different view, he was disgusted, not at her but himself.
"When you carved into that weeping bitch!"
"No," Dean let out silently, he couldn't have, not to her, not to the person Castiel loved.
"Yeah, you sorta did, they thought it would be sorta you know poetic," Her eyes laid on the floor, the memories were rising to the surface, ones she did want to face at the moment, "But I know what it was like down there and you know what, if I was given that choice; getting off the rake, I would have taken it in a heartbeat."
Dean shook his head, "No, you wouldn't of, you lasted two hundred years in that place, I barely lasted thirty," Dean drifted off, letting those first painfully memories smear at him. She was his first and those bastards found it poetic?
"But I didn't get that offer Dean, all I got was a hot poker," Delilah laughed bitterly, "Point is I-I wanted to say is that how did you deal with it?"
Dean looked up to her, he wasn't one the one to give advice and he didn't give the best advice, "I shared," Delilah smirked at that, "What?"
"That is bullshit, Dean in all my time, not once did I see one of my torturers have regret and grief in their eyes, you may have been glad you got off the racks but you still knew, you still were torturing yourself and that is why I could never blame you," Delilah got up and stretched her thin body, "Well, enough with that, I for one haven't had a proper sleep for what feels like centuries, I am actually going to lay down on a bed," She cracked a smile before gliding to the staircase and trotting up it. Dean sat there, his thoughts ticking continuously in his head, she may not blame him but not only had he tortured a good person, he had hurt someone's girlfriend or whatever she was to Castiel. He had hurt her and he didn't even think twice when Alistair told him to carve slowly and painfully into her, not once.
Castiel knew he should be getting back now, he wanted to go see Delilah but his work was here still, Lucifer was still gaining ground on them and Castiel had hoped to get information on him before his next attack. His eyes lurked over each demon, it was odd behaviour, and none of them seemed to be doing anything, just standing there, waiting. It was unnerving for Castiel, he hadn't seen demons act this way before, normally they were like animals, tearing places and anything in their path but now they were like statues and for some reason he felt as though he should leave but this was important, if anything was happening here, the Winchesters would have to know about it. He let himself move further forward, allowing more to come into view. There was something defiantly stirring. Castiel felt a strong presents and immediately he knew who it was. Lucifer.
"Hello little brother," Lucifer smile widen down upon him, "I think we should have a little chat," When Castiel tried to reach for his blade, his world blackened around him and soon he felt the cold ground connect with his body.
