Yugi awoke with blurred vision, barley able make out an outline of his surroundings. He shifted and felt the smooth leather under him. He was laying across what appeared to be the backseat of a limo. He groaned. Seto glanced back at him.

"How are you feeling"? His expression was kind.

Yugi tried to sit up but fell back down from exhaustion. "I feel alright. My neck kinda burns though. He massaged the sides of his neck where the pain was. What happened to me? The last I remember Souzouji had me in his grip then...blank."

"From what I could tell you passed out from lack of oxygen. Mokoba was sitting next to him. You're very lucky Seto and I were headed that way at that time."

Seto looked over at the front passenger seat. "Chad, would you mind tossing me an icepack from the bin there?"

"Yes, Mr. Kaiba." The man with sunglasses reached in and pulled out a small bag of ice and tossed it to Seto who then gave it to Yugi.

He accepted it and put it against his neck. "Thanks Kaiba." He shivered as the ice touched his skin. It felt good against the pain.

His cousin nodded. "Just do me a favor Yugi. Don't walk home (or anywhere for that matter) by yourself. I don't want you hurt. If something does happen, you can always call."

The car came to a smooth stop. "Remember what I said. When you come to high school I'll be looking out for you."

Yugi thanked his cousin again before going inside. Feeling a little sore, he walked to the kitchen and took some pain meds. He looked over at the clock on the stove. "5:30...that gives me an hour and a half to get ready and be at school. What to do..." he thought aloud to himself.

He was in the process of making himself a hamburger, his favorite. His grandfather came upstairs. "That sure smells good, Solomon admired his grandson's cooking skills. Mind making me one, too?"

Yugi smiled, "sure grandpa." He sautéed some onions to add to the browned meat patties.

After dinner was cleaned up, he went to his room to shower. By then all his pain had faded away and his neck felt as good as new. "What a jerk, Souzouji. Yugi was talking to himself. Still I can't help but feel sorry for him. After the death of his mom, he's been pretty mean." He started up the water and closed the glass door to the shower. He assumed that he was taking all of his rage out on everybody-not just him.

Wrapping himself in a towel, he got out and checked the clock. "Well I'm making fairly good time, it's only quarter after six. He combed through his spiky hair, enjoying the steam-filled room.

Walking over to his wardrobe, he pulled out a pair of black dress pants, a white button down shirt and a black tie. He looked himself over in the mirror and fixed himself to his satisfaction. He finished his outfit with black shoes with buckles and left his neck collar and bracelets off.

He sat down at his desk started up his HP and checked his Facebook for any new updates. It was pretty boring-everyone's status basically said the same thing, and that was that they were excited for tonight's graduation. Yugi was ready to turn off his computer until he read someone's status.

I"m like so excited to meet him! :D

That was what Anzu's status had said. Updated two hours ago. Yugi winced, who would Anzu be referring to? A single bead of sweat slid down the side of his face. The thought sunk in and he had sudden realization. His worst fear had become a reality. His amethyst eyes felt hot. He stood, pacing by his desk and looked at the screen there again to make sure he hadn't imagined it. There it was in front of him. It was real.

"Okay Yugi, get yourself together, and whatever you do, don't start crying." He felt betrayed and rejected; he closed his eyes and let the hot tears run down his face. "Maybe Anzu is talking about a family member or something..." He just would not accept that Anzu had met someone else.
