Chapter 4: The Start of Explanations and New ArRIVALS (s) (Part 1)

"Sigh, okay, it all happened when I turned 7….." Kagome began. "My dad called me outside to talk to me…."

A seven year old little girl twisting and twirling through the garden filled with all of the beautiful flowers known to mankind. The girl frolicked (sp?) through the flowers to make her way to her father who called her not too long ago. She found her father sitting next to their special tree, called the Sacred Tree. Her father told her that it was named after something special, very special. Of course she didn't understand… she barely listened o be honest. She only turned say a week ago, but she was quiet mature for her age. As she made her way to her father, she saw the troubling look on his face. He looked… distant from the world.

"Is there something wrong daddy?"She asked. He seemed startled at her sudden appearance but gave her a gentle smile.

"I'm fine sweetie." He informed her.

"Kagome." He started. "You know how our family is about religion right?" kagome nodded as he continued."And you know about how we talked about there being a special time when Kami or God calls everyone to their real home (A/N: I know some of you don't believe in this stuff but I do ok? My story…) right Kagome?" She nodded again. Kagome's family wasn't overboard religious just… religious, they understood that they sin and they understood that no one is perfect, so they weren't one of those families that carried crosses around in their pockets.

"Well, daddy's going to have to be to rest too, so-"Her father started but was interrupted by Kagome.

"Yes, I know, but I don't wanna talk about that now ok daddy? You are here now and that's all that matters." Kagome said trying to keep the sad look off of her face as she desperately tried to change the subject. Her father sighed. How could he be so stupid? Trying to tell a SEVEN year old that her father was going to die soon!

'BAKA.' He said to himself. "Ok 'Gome, so how was your day at school today?" He said with a smile that showed that he understood.

END FLASHBACK

Tears were threatening to spill. She just couldn't go on… not today. Kagome wouldn't show or burden her new friends with her story today. That's what she hated most PITY. As quickly as the thought came of her new friends pitying her, the faster her tears dried away without spilling.

"After that day as a seven year old, then eight, then nine, then ten all the way to fourteen. I tried to take that day out of my mind but-"Kagome couldn't finish. The tears that threatened to spill earlier spilt without hesitation. Although all of the questions in their minds were unanswered, excluding Sesshomaru of course, with an addition of new questions, they weren't going to try to press to get any more information. Inuyasha felt a twinge of pain in his heart along with the others, but his felt as if he wanted to cry along with her… but he didn't know why. This girl that he just met has effects on him. The first time he saw her he knew what she was, he knew she was different; he just wanted to make sure that he was correct.

Inuyasha walked over to kagome and sat on the couch beside her and held her as she soaked his shirt. Her tears were warm and probably staining his shirt (DUHH) but he didn't care. He shushed her and whispered comforting words in her ear. As Kagome settled down she gave Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Miroku and Sango an apologetic look.

"Don't give us that look Kagome, it's okay to cry, no need to be sorry" Sango said as the others nodded. Miroku being the stupid pervert took great notice into Inuyasha still holding Kagome in his arms, so he tried to lighten up the mood.

"Having fun there, Inuyasha?"Miroku said with an amused grin.

"Whadaya talkin' about Monk?" Inuyasha said eyeing Miroku. He Miroku nodded his head towards the scene as Inuyasha and Kagome reddened and untangled themselves apart.

"Baka" Sango said as she slapped him on the back of the head which made Miroku pout, then turned into a little 'Argument'. Soon Kagome realized she had to get home after she joked around with her new friends and her old friend.

"I think I'm gonna get going, my mom's probably worried." Kagome said as she started to stand.

"I'll walk you out." Inuyasha said immediately as he followed. The others gave him a confused but amused look but shrugged it off. Kagome only nodded. Kagome said her goodbyes as the two walked out of the door. Sesshomaru let a grin play across his face as he already knew the future.

WITH INUYASHA AND KAGOME

"Thanks for walking me out…" Kagome said as she began to walk to her motorcycle. Kind of feeling awkward.

"No Problem" Inuyasha said as he tried to hide a blush that was creeping on his cheeks. He was silently thanking the god that it was dark out. What he didn't know was that Kagome saw it.

Kagome returned to her normal self and grinned mischievously.

"See ya Dog Breath" Kagome Joked and laughed. Inuyasha growled.

"Go Home Wench" Inuyasha replied. She laughed and climbed on her bike and waved as she started for home when she saw him wave back.

BACK INSIDE

Inuyasha walked back in the house only to see his two friends peeking out of the window and his older brother making his way up the stairs as he said a goodnight to everyone left. Inuyasha immediately blew up on Sango and Miroku.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!" Inuyasha shouted as the two jumped and ran as they saw that he was coming towards them.

"GET BACK HERE!" Inuyasha shouted.

Sesshomaru made his way to his room, shaking his head as his last thought was 'My Idiot Brother -_-'

THE NEXT DAY

Kagome made it home safely the night before and was currently lying in bed snoring her head off, hair is basically a bird nest, and drool sliding down her chin. BEEP BEEEP SCREECH BEEP!

Kagome shook awake and wiped the drool from her chin in disguised. Then as she remembered the dream she had involving Inuyasha a blush crept across her face. She didn't know how he managed to make her blush but he did. She tried to deny her liking him but deep down inside she knew she was starting to have a feel for him. She set Inuyasha to the side as she stumbled to the bathroom and laughed at her hair. Afterwards she took a shower and washed her hair and cleaned herself. When she finished she wrapped herself in a towel and walked out of the bathroom. She locked her bathroom door and opened her closet.

'What to wear, what to wear?' Kagome thought. She finally settled for a sleeveless black crop top with skull candy on the front. Of course she had a tight white tank top underneath to hide her stomach scars. (YOU'LL LEARN ABOUT THEM WHEN SHE FINISHES HER FLASHBACK STORY OR I'LL LET HER TELL IN ANOTHER CHAPTER.) A twinge of pain shot through her heart as she remembered her past. She quickly moved it out of her mind as she continued to look for bottoms. She grabbed a pair of white shorts with golden buttons on the back and front pockets. Kagome then grabbed a pair of her black and white cheetah print low top converse with black laces. She then grabbed her black snapback and pinned it on her belt loop to the right. She let her hair cascade down her back after she brushed out the tangles. She then headed downstairs for breakfast. She talked to her family a while and then headed back upstairs to brush her teeth and wash her face. She then proceeded to grab her Nike string backpack and head back downstairs. She said her Goodbyes to her family. She decided to drive her car instead of her bike today. (Any car you want) It was orange and white checkered. She climbed into her car and slid in her CD and played Pierce the Veil featuring Kellin Quinn- King for a Day. She put the song on full blast while singing along. She danced around and sung her heart out. Kagome then pulled up in the parking lot of her school and stepped out of the car with the music still playing loud, she sat on the hood. Everyone was staring at her but she just flipped them the bird as the bell rang. She turned her car off and pocketed the keys. She walked through the school doors and went to her locker to get her stuff for first hour. Since the bell had already rung she was late as usual, so she took her time. She walked to the room and opened the door only to see the students looking at her. She just went to her seat and turned around to see Sango asleep. stop just stopped the lesson when Kagome walked in so everyone had eyes on her. Kagome just turned back around to see a disappointed Toutosai.

"You had me thinking that you were the new student." Toutosai said disappointedly. Kagome gave him a curious look.

"What new student." Kagome replied.

"Ah a young man by the name of-" Toutosai said as he was interrupted by a knock on the door. Everyone turned their attention to the door as the door opened. In walked a man with long black hair that cascaded down his back. He had blood red eyes and he had a smirk across his face. The girls swooned and whispered and he walked up to the teacher… Sango was asleep and Kagome's blood was boiling. Toutosai cleared his throat.

"As I was saying, this is Naraku Noriami, the new student." Toutosai finished. There was no time to tell about his self so Toutosai assigned him a seat… Next to Kagome.

"Naraku, you will introduce yourself tomorrow, until then you will be sitting next to Kagome Higurashi." Toutosai informed, not noticing the anger and fear on Kagome's face and the evil smirk on Naraku's…
