A Day At The Beach

The guardians were walking up to the beach. They decided a short vacation would be great. Also former Jack Kukai had come, too.

"This is going to be awesome!" Yaya exclaimed happily seeing the ocean.

"I guess…" Amu moaned. She looked at the huge beach. It was summer vacation so she should relax right? Well she actually had tons of homework…so she'd rather be at home. To add onto that it was the last week of summer.

Of course the guardians weren't the only ones who needed a vacation.

"Yay!" Utau said grabbing onto Ikuto's arm. "This'll be fun right?" He sighed. Why does Utau have to act all cutesy around him?

"Act normal," He told her annoyed. "Since you had to drag me here anyway." She looked away embarrassed.

"I needed a vacation," Utau said quickly changing the subject. "It's been harder since I quit Easter." Ikuto sighed. He was glad his sister was free of Easter but she still was annoying.

"This is going to be boring anyway," He said looking around. Then he spotted several familiar faces. Including a cute pink haired girl. "Actually, this might be some fun." Ikuto said smirking.

"Should we go swimming or play on the beach first?" Yaya was really starting to get on Amu's nerves. She sighed. How is going to the beach that fun? She wondered. But I'd enjoy it a lot more if I didn't have homework to do.

"Let's go swimming!" Ran cheered dancing around. Everyone else nodded.

"Swimming is always the best," Pepe agreed. Amu sighed again.

"I don't really want-" She began.

"Why not Amu? You look so cute in that swimsuit," Amu jumped at the familiar voice.

"Ikuto!" She yelled in surprise, blushing extremely then hiding behind Rima. "W-What…w-why…um…" She stuttered embarrassed he saw her in the swimsuit.

"What are you doing here?" Tadase demanded angrily finishing her question.

"Just to see-" Ikuto began.

"Why are you over here?" That jealous angry voice of course is Utau. She was glaring at Amu.

"You're strangling me," Ikuto muttered annoyed. I thought I lost her. He thought. Of course Amu was taking this chance to sneak away.

"Hey Hinamori!" Dang. She thought. "Where are you going?" Kukai asked.

"Yeah Amu," Dang times two. Amu thought as Ikuto grabbed her arm and pulled her into a hug.

"This is getting interesting," Rima commented while Kusu Kusu burst into giggles.

"Let go!" Amu complained struggling.

"No," He replied simply. She glared at him.

"Let go now," Amu demanded.

"No."

"Yes!"

"Forget it."

"Come on!"

"Never." Amu groaned at Ikuto's reluctancy to let go.

"I want to go swimming," She said quickly making up an excuse.

"Then we're going swimming," Ikuto replied. He let go of her all except for her hand.

"Hey you thieving c-" Tadase said furiously but was interrupted by Kukai grabbing the back of his shirt.

"We're on vacation," Yaya pointed out. "So no fighting."

"But Yuiki-san," Tadase began.

"Lighten up Tadase," Kukai continued, giving Yaya a high five.

"I wonder about you guys sometimes," Utau muttered.

"I do too," Rima agreed nodding.

Meanwhile Amu and Ikuto were actually having some fun.

"See Amu-chan!" Ran said paddling through the water. "Swimming is lots of fun!"

"It is!" She exclaimed laying on her back. Of course then Ikuto got a mischievous thought.

"How long can you hold your breath, Amu?" He asked smirking.

"What do you m-ah!" He grabbed her wrist and pulled her underwater. There were lots of beautiful fish. Amu's eyes widened seeing all of them. All of her charas really liked it, too. Amazing. Amu thought. There are so many different colors and fish. But then she found out how long she could hold her breath. Amu swam up quickly and took a deep breath. Ikuto quickly popped up beside her.

"That was so pretty desu," Su commented.

"It would've been great for a drawing," Miki agreed nodding.

"Well did you like it?" Ikuto asked Amu. She was about to answer when something brushed against her leg.

"Ah!" She exclaimed in surprise and grabbed Ikuto's arm.

"So that's not all you liked," He muttered smirking. He held her hand.

"I don't trust him," Tadase murmured watching Amu and Ikuto from the beach. He didn't really feel like relaxing, at least not when Ikuto was around.

"Okay lets build a moat!" Yaya exclaimed. Yaya and the guardian charas were building a sandcastle.

"No!" Kiseki argued. "My castle needs an impenetrable wall!"

"Yaya-chan and I are building a moat," Pepe argued. Rima smiled as she watched all of them argue over what to build.

Kiseki was determined to build an "impenetrable" wall.

Pepe and Yaya agreed they needed a moat. Which is a lot better then an "impenetrable" wall.

Kusu Kusu wanted a drawbridge.

Iru said a dungeon would be the best, probably for her to torture everyone else.

Eru wanted a princess tower, which locked from the outside. She watches too many love stories.

Daichi wanted a soccer field.

"Let's just build them all," Musashi finally said annoyed. Kairi nodded.

"I'll help too," He offered.

"Yay!" Yaya exclaimed happily bouncing to her feet. "I'll go find some seashells to decorate it with!" While she went to find the seashells everyone else began building the sandcastle.

"Why don't you help Rima-chan?" Kusu Kusu asked Rima.

"It's too much work," She replied. Kusu Kusu giggled and went back to help. Meanwhile Rima was also wondering where one of the charas had dissappeared to.

"Hey where's Yoru?" She asked Utau.

"Hm…" Utau muttered staring intently at the ocean. Specifically at Ikuto and Amu.

"Utau?" Rima asked again annoyed.

"Huh?" Utau turned towards her. "What?"

"Where's Yoru?" She repeated.

"Hiding in my bag," Utau replied, turning back towards her main focus. Rima sighed. Both her and Tadase are too paranoid. She thought.

After a while Amu had gotten tired from swimming.

"That was great!" She exclaimed sitting down beside Rima. Ikuto sat down beside her.

"Yeah," He muttered staring at Amu. She's so cute in that swimsuit. He thought.

"It's too wet," Rima replied. Utau was really annoyed now. He pays attention to Amu and her friends but not me! She thought angrily. Ikuto was suppoused to be with her not Amu.

"Finally!" Kiseki exclaimed. "My castle's finished." He began evil laughing. "Nothing can destroy it!" That's what he thinks of course.

"Amazing!" Amu said looking at all of the different features.

"Let's play on the soccer field!" Ran cheered. But right then Yaya came running back.

"Look what I f-" Being the klutz she is, Yaya tripped and fell right on the sandcastle. Of course it was destroyed. "Ow!"

"My castle!" Kiseki cried. Amu stifled a giggle. But of course Ikuto started laughing at the castle's demise. "Be quiet!" Kiseki yelled furiously at him. Then Amu started laughing and so did everyone else except Kiseki. He was fuming.

Meanwhile Iru was up to abousolutely no good.

"Hey Yoru," She snickered.

"W-what nyan?" He asked. "Are we going home nyan?"

"No," Iru replied. "But, why don't you come play?"

"No way! I'll get wet nyan!" Yoru mewed fearfuly.

"No you won't," Iru replied, she pulled out her little bucket of water.

"I don't know nyan," Yoru muttered unsure.

"You know we ran into the guardians," Iru said stifling a laugh.

"Really nyan?" He asked. I can bother Kiseki nyan. He thought to himself. He came out quickly and then…SPLASH!

"Iru!" Luckily Amu was getting her towel to dry off.

"Dang," Iru muttered.

"That was really mean!" Amu scolded scooping Yoru up into her towel. The others had heard her yell at Iru, and were really surprised she had scolded Iru.

"Are you okay?" Miki asked as Amu sat down.

"Yeah nyan," Yoru muttered snuggling himself deeper into the towel. Amu smiled down at Yoru. You're so kind Amu. Ikuto thought.

"Anyway," Yaya interrupted. Apparently Kiseki had finished screaming at her. She held out her bucket. "I found these!"

"Oysters," Tadase observed.

"Oysters have pearls in them right?" Utau asked.

"Well," Kairi began. "Not many oysters can make perfect pearls actually."

"Well lets see," Kukai said grabbing one. Everyone else did also.

"I didn't get one," Yaya whined.

"Neither did I," Tadase said disappointed. Kukai and Kairi also didn't get one.

"Ugh," Utau said opening hers. "I didn't either." Amu shook her head.

"Oh well," Rima sighed closing her. Ikuto opened his last. Sitting inside was a beautiful and perfect pearl. He closed it quickly. I'll save it for later. He thought glancing at Amu.

"I didn't get one," He lied slipping the oyster into his pocket. Utau gave him a suspicious look.

"Hey look what we found!" Everyone jumped as Daichi and Ran came racing over to them.

"What did you find?" Rima asked.

"Come on!" Ran shot off as everyone else followed her. She led them over to a clear drop off into the ocean. Perfect for diving…or pushing people into the water.

"Wow it looks steep," Amu commented standing right on the edge.

"Try it out Hinamori," Kukai said pushing her in.

"Hey!" She cried as she splashed into the water.

"Yay!" Yaya exclaimed jumping. "Let's go Pepe-chan!" She splashed Amu playfully.

"Hey!" She protested splashing Yaya back. Ikuto smiled watching her play around. To think she didn't even want to come. He thought pulling out the pearl. I wonder if she'd-

"I knew you were lying," Ikuto jumped almost dropping the pearl.

"What?" he asked Utau annoyed quickly putting the pearl away.

"If you want to give her a present so much," Utau said with a hint of anger in her voice. She glared over at Amu. "Fine." She dropped a black choker and sewing needle onto Ikuto's lap.

"Today was so much fun!" Yaya exclaimed as the day was ending.

"Best day ever," Kukai agreed. He glanced over at Amu, who was snuggling closely to Ikuto. "Right Hinamori?" She blushed at Kukai's comment.

"It was lots of fun for you Amu-chi," Yaya said picking up Kukai's taunt.

"It's not completely over," Ikuto commented, before Amu got angry at them. He took out the chocker with the pearl sewn to it. Gently he put it around Amu's neck.

"Wh-What's this?" She asked blushing.

"A present," Ikuto told her smirking. "One of two presents." Then he gently kissed her. Utau fell out of her chair in surprise, so did Tadase.
