I am so sorry for the late update. My only excuse is, I had a lack of inspiration to write anything. Thank you for all the review from the previous chapter. I really do appreciate every single one of them.

Destiny - The truth is revealed

"How are you taking everything?" Leah asked Jake if they began walking from the Blacks residence to first beach.

Before talking, Jake looked at Leah and shrugged his shoulders, "It sucks," He stated, "Don't get me wrong, I have always considered him my brother, and now I get to call him my real brother, its bittersweet. I hate what my father had done, it's not right! He has always told me to man up and face any problem I have head on, yet, he never, not once, faced his biggest problem!"

Leah glanced up at Jake and just waited for him to continue, she knew he needed to vent all his frustrations to someone, so she figured she's just the person for the job. Ever since both Leah and Jake broke away from the pack, along with Seth, Leah and Jake now have a very different relationship, and, if Leah were to be completely honest, she considered Jake to be her best friend.

"I mean, he kept Embry a secret for eighteen years! Eighteen damned years! Did he not realise that this all coming out was going to hurt me? Hurt my sisters? Or even Embry and Miss Call? He was only thinking about himself in this situation!" Leah watched as Jake clenched and unclenched his fists, "It's like, my father, my dad, is not the person I thought he was. H-He wasn't the honest and loyal man he claimed to be, especially not towards my mother!"

"… and Embry," Jake sighed, "I have the brother I have always wanted, I just wish it were in a much better way than this bullshit! How could my father abandon Miss Call like that? He was so messed up in that! He was only thinking about himself and not the poor lady he knocked up or the son that was going to be brought up into this world!"

Leah was no stranger to comforting someone, especially after last night's events, so wrapping her arms around Jake just seemed like the logical thing to do. So, slowly, she wrapped her arms around Jake's waist, causing them to come to a halt at the start of First beach. She soothed him as he bent down and buried his head in the crook of her neck.

"On the bright side, Jake," Leah whispered, "Like you said, you now have the blood brother you have always wanted."

"Yeah," Jake let out a breathy laugh before furiously wiping away his tears in shame. He was the Alpha and yet, here he was, standing with his Beta crying. Oh how Alpha-like that is!

"Hey, Lee?" Jake asked, he turned towards the beach to watch the waves crash into the shore.

"Mhmm?" came Leah's response.

"You are my Best friend, please know that," Jake began, "But, I'm going to have to talk to Embry about the Alpha position. I-If he doesn't want it, I was thinking about offering him Beta position? If that's okay with you."

Leah sighed as a position she held dearly to her heart was slowly being taken away from her, "I don't want to give it up, Jake. You and I both know how ecstatic I was to get this position, but, I guess I don't really have a choice, ha? Family holds the positions first, right?"

Jake merely nodded and sighed, "You really are an amazing Beta, Lee. You can be third in command? I know it's a demotion, but hey, you will still be able to boss around everyone but myself and Embry. I know how much you love to boss everyone around."

Leah let out a laugh, "Well, I guess if I had to lose the position to anyone, Embry is a good candidate."

"He likes you, ya know?" Jake turned to face her, a serious look on her face.

"Yeah right, who would like Bitchy Leah Clearwater?" She whispered bitterly.

"Embry Call, that's who," Jake smiled. He playfully pushed Leah before she could come up with a smart ass remark.

Embry didn't leave the Black Residence until fifteen minutes after he walked out on Billy Black. He had been leaning against the doors, listening to the muffled cries of his father. Quite disturbingly, it gave him a sense of happiness, he knew Billy deserved to feel the pain that he had felt, not only last night, but all those years ago of not knowing who his true father is. Billy Black finally gets to feel the pain that Embry Call has been feeling his whole life. But it still didn't make it any easier.

He thought back to the time when he was ten years old. He had to invite his father to school one day, but, seeing as he didn't have one he ran home that day crying to his mother. It took a lot of convincing, but he had asked Harry Clearwater to come seeing as Leah was a year older and Seth was two years younger. Harry had happily obliged. Thinking back on it now, Embry remembered Billy always looking at him with a sense of sadness, but only being a kid, he didn't think anything of it.

Embry walked towards the woods of Jacobs house and, out of frustration, punched a tree, which caused a loud thump to echo throughout the forest. He let out a cry of frustration before losing every ounce of control he had in his body. A growl ripped through his body as he transformed. Shaking out his fur, he began to race through the forest, letting out a painful howl.

Making sure no one was out in wolf at this particular moment, Embry collapsed in the middle of the forest and transformed back into his human form. He pulled roughly at his hair as he let out another cry of internal pain. His head hurt, his heart hurt. Every part of him ached.

"Bry?" Embry flicked his head to the side only to see Quill standing behind him with some spare clothes, "I heard you howl," he shrugged ass he saw the lingering question in Embry's eyes.

As Quill threw the clothes at his best friend, Embry gave him a small nod before throwing on the clothes.

"Thanks, Quill." Embry's voice quivered for a bit as his emotions still weren't in tact.

"Anytime man," Quill said as he approached his best friend, "You know that."

Quill knew Embry better than most, he knew that his friend was hurting and it pained him to see. At this moment, it seemed like everyone, himself included, are slowly starting to despise Billy. How could you keep a secret like that for years?

"It's all going to be okay, Bry." Quill spoke up, "I don't know what you are going through, but I can feel the pain that's happening to you. It may not seem like it now, but it does get better…"

Even though Embry felt like this situation could never get better, he simply nodded at his friend as they began walking.

"I'm sorry about acting up before," Quill slumped his shoulders as they continued walking.

Embry slapped his friend on the shoulder, "It's okay, man. I spoke to Leah about it. I don't want you to ever feel like Jake or I are going to abandon you again. Just because Jake and I are really brothers, doesn't mean you aren't either? We all grew up together. You're our brother, Atera."

Quill smiled before pushing Embry into a tree, "Glad to hear it. Now enough with all this sentimental crap!"

The rest of the walk to find Jake and Leah went by fairly fast. Both Quill and Embry talked about everything except Billy. Quill knew that the only person he would truly open up to was Leah Clearwater, and strangely, even though he didn't particularly like her, he understood.

"I don't want to take what was meant to be your destiny away from you, Jake. You keep Alpha, I will gladly be Beta," Embry smiled, "I could never see myself as Alpha anyway…."

"Are you sure?" Jake questioned, "I mean, I thought like that too, but look at me."

"The way you are selling the position to me Jake, sounds like I will be under more stress than one would like," Embry laughed as Jakes eyebrows raised in confirmation.

"Well, I'm glad you will at least be Beta," Jake laughed.

It amazed both of them that they could still get along after the event that has just recently happened. Embry thought that talking to Jake for the first time would be a little awkward, but it was anything but. Jake was still the same Jake he had always been and Embry appreciated it. That, at least, Jake didn't blame him for what happened, no matter how much Embry seems to think that a part of this is his fault, just like anyone would.

Jake on the other hand, was glad he could still be the same around Embry. He did think that everything would be awkward, but he came to the realisation that, it will only be awkward if you make it awkward. So he acted like the Jake he had always been around Embry.

After a moment of silence, Jake looked up and smiled, "Well, I finally got the brother I always wanted,"

Embry let out a smile as he remembered all the conversation between himself, Quill and Jake when they talked about Jake wanting a brother. That was the day they began calling each other brothers.

"I remember those conversations about that," Embry laughed, "You did always want a brother. Who knew that you would actually end up with one, ha?"

Things turned serious as Jakes face fell, "I don't blame ya for anything that happened, Bry. I blame my father for not manning up and taking care of his responsibilities!"

"I know," Embry gave his best smile to Jake, "It's your sisters I'm worried about. Especially since Becca is coming back…"

"She is a lot more understanding than Rach. So things with her shouldn't be as bad as it was with Rachel. Plus, she will come around. She's angry at Dad, not you…"

"I just don't wanna split your family apart, Jake." Embry sighed.

"Our Family, Bry," Jake spoke up, "Our family…"

Billy Black had never been so alone in his life. Even when his wife passed away in the car accident, he has never been left alone. Someone was always with him. But now, he sat here in the middle of his living room, a bottle of liquor in one hand and a glass in his other. How could he have been so stupid and gutless? It is because of him that Embry's life had been full of misery as a child and even when he first phased. If only he had not been do afraid of his Ancestors…

As he poured and downed another shot of liquor. He slowly slipped into a sleep, which he hoped, would be peaceful.

"My Grandson," a voice boomed in Billy's ear.

Billy shook his head and stared in awe as his Grandfather, Ephraim Black was standing before him. He then had to rub his eyes as Taha Aki appeared before him. They both stood side by side giving Billy looks of disapproval.

"It has come to our knowledge that you have finally acknowledge to the tribe of La Push that Embry Call is in fact your son!" Boomed Taha Aki.

"Because you were no longer able to keep this secret to yourself, no matter how many times we told you precisely not to acknowledge him as your own. You did. This means that sooner or later, Jacob Black will have to step down as the role of Alpha." Ephraim stated with authority.

"I had to tell him," Billy pleaded, "He went eighteen years without knowing who is Father was and I know it killed him inside. I could not have that anymore!"

"The reason why we had asked of you not to acknowledge him as yours is because we do not feel that Embry Call is fit for Alpha. He was not a descendant of yourself and dear Sarah. He was not conceived by the one I had led towards you," Taha Aki shook his head as he was explaining, "Instead he was conceived by yourself and a random woman that you met at Makah."

"For this sudden confession from yourself, Grandson. Embry Call MUST accept his role as Aplha," Ephraim spoke loudly.

"He doesn't want to be Alpha. We can't force him to be someone he does not want to," Billy pleaded, "He's been through enough…"

Ignoring Billy's please, Taha Aki continued to talk, "He must become Alpha. It is now his Destiny as you chose to tell him something we had told you not to. Now, he must step up to the role of being Alpha," Taha Aki moved closer towards Billy, "You must be the one to convince him that he needs to be Alpha."

"How am I supposed to do that?" Billy cried, "He won't even talk to me,"

Taha Aki and Ephraim suddenly disappeared from site as Billy saw a scene that brought a smile to his face. Embry was walking along the beach with Leah Clearwater, clearly enjoying her company.

"Use Miss Clearwater as bait," Ephraim stated. He was nowhere to be seen, but, Billy could hear his voice loud and clear, "Talk to Old Quill and explain that Embry needs to face his destiny, and the only way he is able to do this, is if he sees that the Alpha Male will be the one to mate with the Alpha female. You must convince Old Quill that Jacob Black will be the one to marry Leah Clearwater! Once Embry Call sees this, his path will finally be clear."

"I can't do that!" Billy cried, "I can't lose-"

He was cut off as Taha Aki's voice boomed over top of his, "You MUST! Embry Call MUST follow a Destiny that has now been laid out for him because you could not keep your secret!"

Billy awoke from his 'meeting' with Ephraim Black and Taha Aki with tears falling from his eyes. Once again, he was going to have to hurt those who mean the world to him.
