Running his fingers through Tony's hair mad Gibbs feel more relaxed since Tony was in his own room instead behind a curtain in the ICU. Turning to Palmer he decided to get more information. "Palmer, this has to be more than not liking me gone. Do you have any idea why those two specifically acted up?"

Palmer looked thoughtful for a minute before answering, "I believe Tim at one time respected Tony. I believe that when he found out that Tony didn't have the education he had assumed he lost a bit of that respect. Then I believe he started to take Kate's and Tony's bantering to mean that Kate didn't take him serious either. With Ziva's immediate disrespect towards Tony's it just became worse until he deluded himself that it was only a matter of time until he took Tony's job.

Ziva was much worse. It was almost like it was her plan to get Tony off your team. She turned their bantering into putdowns and an excuse to say he wasn't mature enough for the job as if her involvement in it didn't count. Then their were times were she would try to make anything good he did sound like a stroke of luck and if anything bad happened to him she would put it off to a mere exaggeration on his part. A perfect example was when they got trapped in that container. She told everyone that his gunshot wound to his arm was nothing put a scrape from a crate; though how a wound that needs nine stitches is just a scratch I'll never know. Also I noticed after a while that she would hold get togethers that excluded Tony and would usually lie and say that he had other plans when I know that she never asked him. I don't know why she takes such effort to exclude Tony, but it's definitely intentional."

Gibbs sighed running his hand from the back of his neck, through his hair, and down his face. How he didn't see this he had no clue.

"-from what I understand from McGee's psych file and what the agents upstairs have said he believes he is superior to Agent Dinozzo. He believes Dinozzo is nothing more that an idiotic playboy whose only talent involves sports. Basically he has painted Dinozzo into some 1960s jock in his head. Basically he suffers from a superiority complex. He has made himself believe that if any other agent not on Gibbs team that it means he is better than them. He has deluded himself that his talent with computers is more important then being good in the field because he knows that is were his weakness lies. So essentially he believes himself a better agent and imagines that it won't be long until he takes over for Gibbs. The reason he has taken a vendetta against Dinozzo is simple. Gibbs is too respected, knows too many skeletons, and is too alpha male for him to go after. He is higher ranked than Ziva and her abilities as an assassin makes him leery of going for her. Not to mention her pandering of him helps to. So that leaves Dinozzo. A man whose job he wants and has tasted of. A man who is talented where he fails; so he has marked off ill suited in order to keep hold of his presumed superiority. Not to mention he has probably imagined Dinozzo as a surrogate for every rich, good looking, or athletic bully he has ever had. I would recommend that you send Crauson to interrogate him as he could be seen as a pretty boy like Dinozzo. It would also be best if you ignore him in a way that seems you don't take the job seriously, but also treat him as if he is just a worthless nerd when you do talk to him," Agent Angela Davis, the team's profiler, informed the group. She was a red haired grey eyed beauty whose cold analytical manner put many off when dealing with her.

Steve Anderson the team leader nodded thoughtfully before addressing his agents, "Mark you will interrogate McGee. I want you to walk in there playing a game on your cell phone. Wait until you've completed a level or something before you start questioning him. It will give him time to get himself worked up. Dylan, majority of the terrorists have been treated and have been put in cells. I want you to get them to start fighting with each other. Angela you will watch and see if you can find the leader in the group. Hopefully he is in there and not still getting treatment or dead. If you find him I want Dylan to interrogate him. Lauren, you and Angela will interrogate the rest."

Dylan Black, a stocky bald man, nodded before he looked at Anderson curiously, "What about the Mossad woman?"

"Yeah, shouldn't we get McGee and her interrogation first, since the terrorists' interrogation is bound to take forever?" Lauren Thompson a blond blue eyed rookie questioned.

Anderson shook his head, "No, that woman is too calm. Now it could very well be that she thinks Daddy dearest will come to her rescue. So the longer she stews the sooner she will realize that when she became an American citizen; her dad lost all rights to her. Not to mention I have an odd feeling that she is hiding something big. She will be the last we interrogate. The tech boys of NCIS will go through her life with a fine tooth comb. I want to know everything I possibly can before she is interrogated. Make sure all of you have your ear buds in so I can feed you any information you might need. Now go do your jobs."

Mark reread the file the days events before nodding to himself and selecting a game. Making sure the volume was on loud he strolled into the interrogation room. Sitting down he decided to do something that used to piss his teachers off and ,if Angela was right, would positively infuriate the man across him. Casually he leaned his chair back on two legs and propped his legs on top of the table in front of him. He inwardly smirked when McGee started grinding his teeth together.

Pouting when he finished in last; Mark sighed and stuffed his cell into his pocket. Flipping through the file he casually hmmd and nodded to make it look like it was his first read through. Dropping his feet from the table he set his chair to the proper position and stretched. Groaning when his back popped he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of gum. Gesturing it towards McGee he snickered when he pulled it back at the last second. Pulling out a piece he put the pack back into his coat. Seeing McGee positively seething he decided that Angela was a genius. This was the most fun he had ever had doing an interrogation.

He was about to decide to be a prick and stick the gum under the table when Anderson's voice in his left ear stopped him, "Don't even think about it. I do not want get bitched at by the janitorial staff, because you thought it would be neat to stick gum there. Now Angela has already figured out which one of the men was the leader. Dylan is questioning him now. I also just got a call from the hospital. Dinozzo is going to make it and Dr. Mallard handed the phone to a Mr. Palmer. Palmer has given us a lot of information; so listen up. We have confirmation that McGee apparently doesn't know the requirements to become SFA. He believes Dinozzo's mastery was in Physical Education and nothing else. He also doesn't seem to get the fact that Dinozzo's father disowned him. Also the reprimands and complaints in his file were well earned. He and David hardly did any of their paperwork or field work; when Dinozzo led the team. A security guard has handed us footage of a lot of bad behavior by the two; so that will only help our case against them. Not to mention that the tech boys turned up a manuscript on McGee's computer. The thing is filled to the brim with confidential information from cases. I'm calling the DA to have her check all of this, but you might want to drop the names Tibbs, Tommy, and Lisa to see how he reacts. He also single handedly solves their cases in the book in case you want to use that. Now I think you've made him angry enough. Wait any longer and he'll start calming himself down. Oh make sure to call him Mister. Remind him that he is no longer an agent."

Looking at the man Mark made sure to sound as much of a prick as he could, "Hello Mr. McGee, I am going to be your interrogator today. You will call me Agent Crauson. Now do you know why you are here or do I need to explain the facts of life to you?"

"I understand perfectly, thank you," Tim spat out, "Tony screwed up again and got hurt. Figures he couldn't even canvass a neighborhood properly. Now he is using his father's influence to get me fired to cover his own ass."

Mark felt like banging his head against a wall. How in the hell did this guy get on the best team in NCIS? Continuing Mark made his voice sneering, "So let me get this straight. It is Agent Dinozzo's fault that you broke protocol and left him without backup. It is his fault that you decided to break agency rules and fuck in Government property, because doing that on your own time was below you. When are you going to take responsibility for your own actions? I guess I know why after six years you haven't been offered even one promotion. Hell even your time as SFA was conditional and according to your file you were about to be demoted in a few days even before Agent Gibbs came back-" (I know that Dead Air is in Season five but I've moved it up a lot. Will be discussed below)

"I deserved that promotion and don't try and lie to me that I was about to get demoted. If anyone was going to get demoted it would have been Dinozzo. He's the one that sent an innocent man to prison. And yes it was Tony's fault that we turned the radio off. If he hadn't been so in love with the sound of his voice then we wouldn't have to shut it off for some peace and quiet," McGee snarled.

"Funny that you should bring up the embezzlement case. According to everyone's reports you were the one to check up on Renny's alibi in Iraq and the company's financials. Not only that you were the one that didn't do your job since one of the tech men here came forward not long after Renny was proven innocent. He told Tibbs about how you had him do the check; while you went out for a luncheon with Miss David. And as for your job today; your job was to get voice prints. How did you suppose Tommy would do that without talking?" Crauson questioned. He nearly laughed as McGee's face got a freaked looked; when he switched his team mates names with his manuscripts names. This was almost too easy.

When McGee finally spoke it was nearly a stammer, "What did you just say?"

"I'm sorry are you having a hard time hearing? I asked you how you thought Tony was going to get voice prints of a whole suburb without talking? Can you hear me now or is your genius brain having a hard time understanding basic vocabulary?" Mark barked out.

McGee's face was nearly red as he answered, "You didn't say Tony. You called him Tommy and earlier you called Gibbs, Tibbs."

"Oh, so not only is Agent Dinozzo at fault for your actions, but now I'm making up names in the middle of an interrogation? Just why would I say Tommy or Tibbs?" Mark needled.

"Because that's what I named them in my book," McGee spat.

Mark arched his brow, "I'm sorry but according to our file on you you haven't published any book. I'm sure the IRS would be glad to know of this apparent second income, though."

"There is no second income. I- I haven't published it yet," McGee answered nearly raising out of his seat as he slapped his cuffed hands onto the table.

"And just why would I give a damn about some stupid manuscript?" Mark asked infusing as much sarcasm into his voice as he could. When McGee continued to stare at him stupidly he continued, "It couldn't possibly be because you've put confidential information in it, possibly? I'm sure every higher up in the Navy and Military would love to find out that you've illegally wrote about confidential cases or even about things the average citizen is supposed to know. So you want to tell me just why you've written this manuscript?"

"Mark, in the book he wrote about how he made backdoors into every agency database. One of the techs followed the directions in it and it fucking worked. He wrote a damn hackers guide and he illegally made backdoors into these systems," Anderson's voice interrupted.

Seeing that the idiot still didn't seem capable of making a reply Mark continued, "Also you mind telling me why you wrote directions on how to use the illegal backdoors you created in this little book of yours?"

"I didn't think anyone would try them!" was the panicked shout from McGee.

Mark stared incredulously before finally speaking, "You didn't think anyone would try them?! Seriously? Now we are going to have people go over those documents with a fine tooth comb to make sure you didn't do anything else like that. All because you couldn't be bothered to think."

Mark was so caught up thinking of the mess the self absorbed prick in front of him had created that he nearly jumped at Anderson's voice. "Mark, your not going to believe this. I was right David was hiding something big. Mark these men aren't so much terrorists as people that David has hired. David could be part of a terrorist group. Ask him how cutting off the radio came about!"

Looking at the man across from him who was holding his head in hands Mark finally said, "I think I'll let you think about your little book for awhile. What I want to know is how you turning off the transmission came about."

McGee seemingly still sounding irritated answered, "We got tired of listening to Tony go on and on so Ziva said that we could be doing more exciting things with our time than listening to Tony ramble. She said it would e a good joke to pull on him. I agreed that it would let him know that we wouldn't put up with his continuous immaturity."

Mark sighed Agent McGee had unknowingly confirmed the picture that a few of the terrorist were painting of Agent David. To be frank she was looking a lot less like a careless self-absorbed coworker and more like the head of a terrorist cell if not high up in one.

A/N: So ready to hang me for the cliffhanger.

A/N: I changed a lot in this chapter. First of all I added a scene about the IA team discussing their game plan. I did this mainly because my original way didn't make much sense. I also wanted to write who was on the team as the original way made it very confusing. Second I made Tim's interrogation longer. I brought up the illegality of the Deep Six. Not to mention that the first interrogation sucked. Now about the time line.

I know that Dead Air was in season eight, but for my story I decided to move up the time line. Basic terms in went like this.

Explosion - Tony Leads - Gibbs Comes Back - Car Bomb and The Frog - Jenny dies - Tony blamed for murder - Team Seperates - Tony comes back - Bounce - Michael R. dies and Tony Goes to Eli - Ziva is back - Dead Air.

Tim has not published the Deep Six yet.
