"Wow Nikki you look like crap," was the good morning I received when I met my friends in the food court the next day. I had an early shift at the Khaki Barn, also known as, my Personal Hell, otherwise I would still be in bed fighting for sleep.

"Geez, thanks Jonesy, you're such a charmer," I bit back but it lacked my usual viciousness. I flopped down in my seat feeling misery wash over me. I almost danced for joy when Wyatt immediately slid a coffee across the table to me. I quickly took a sip and hummed gratefully. It was black, just like my soul.

"What time is your shift for?" Jen asked, she seemed the happiest out of the bunch, but she was a morning person, unlike Jude, who was knocked out and slobbing on the table, and Jonesy was following Jude's example. Wyatt was guzzling coffee down like water and Caitlin was nowhere to be found. She was probably looking for the perfect outfit to hide her gayness, I thought laughing a little in my head. Of course she would end up wearing the same thing she did everyday and look gorgeous. Whoa!

"Fifteen minutes ago," I answered not even letting myself think about what I just thought. I was just tired and my mind was toying with me. I took a bigger sip of my coffee hoping the caffeine would hurry up and do its job.

"Chrissy is going to flip," Jen pointed out, "Come on, I'll walk you to work." Jen never rushed me to go to the Khaki Barn, and the look in her eye said it was code for, 'I need to talk to you… Alone.' I sighed, not ready to get my butt up, but Jen wanted to speak with me and nobody says no to Jen.

"Whatever," I gulped down the rest of my lukewarm coffee, and followed after Jen.

"So wassup?" I asked once we were out of hearing distance.

"Have you noticed anything odd about Caitlin?" The question caught me off guard. What was I supposed to say? That odd wasn't the right word, but queer or if you want to be more specific homosexual? I think Caitlin would kill me.

"I don't know. Why?"

"She's been avoiding me Nikki! Ever since Friday night when we went to the movies."

"Did something happen at the movies?" I asked then something registered, "WAIT! Why wasn't I invited?"

"Oh uhm you didn't answer your phone," but I could tell she was lying, "And no nothing happened, the movie was hysterical and then this gay couple walked by and I got so mad."

"Why?" I asked, knowing that this is what Caitlin wanted me to hear. But did I want to hear it?

"Because it is unnatural! If God wanted us to be with the same sex he would have made us so that we can procreate with who ever we want but he didn't! He made it happen between a man and a woman for a reason. And it's gross."

"Wow Jen, I didn't know you were so religious," I muttered shocked that all this hate was rolling off of one of my best friends.

"I am Catholic," she informed, "but what does that have to do with Caitlin avoiding me?" I shrugged my shoulders, not wanting to say anything because I knew why now. I still can't believe that Caitlin wasn't bawling her eyes out when I came over after hearing what Jen had to say about her life choice. Of course, Jen didn't know that her best friend was gay but she was so adamant about her belief, would it even matter that it's Caitlin? We arrived at the Khaki Barn and Jen was looking at me expectantly, probably for some kind of advice.

"Don't worry about it, maybe she just got dumped again and doesn't want to talk to anyone right now."

"Maybe you're right, she hasn't mentioned Liam for awhile, and they might've broke up." I was guessing Liam was the latest boy toy that Caitlin dated.

"What about Bobby?"

"Bobby?!" Jen laughed, "They broke up months ago! Have fun at work," and Jen walked away chuckling to herself.

Caitlin's been keeping this secret for months?! Why did she suddenly tell me? I went to work with so much on my mind. Ignoring the clones and Chrissy's complaints on my tardiness.

A/N - Uhmmm yea this was so random. I actually forgot about this story but if people are still reading and enjoying, I'll try to update it more.
