hi, I know it has been a long while since I updated I've just been very busy with college, being in hospital, updating my other stories... and oh, my laptop broke... Anyway, thank you to my usual reviewers. Enjoy this chapter!
Jamie held his head in pain as he stood alone in the darkness. "HELLO!? ANYONE OUT THERE?!" He screamed as he wondered through the bare cold. The very air stung his skin painfully and the ground beneath his feet tried to drag him down to the dark unknowing depths. Jamie wanted to scream out from the madness in his mind. Everything around him was an endless valley of stones and graves. The air was thick with the smell of decay and death. But ever now and then Jamie would have to glance at a stone of the graves which seeped a thick oozing blood, painfully. "Someone! HELP ME!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. He wanted to get out of this place. He never wanted to see this amount of darkness.
But then he stopped as he turned and watched a light form in the darkness. "It was a portkey!" A voice exclaimed and Jamie just stared as a turquoise light filled the distance dimly. He could make out two small figures, both were boy's though one was tall with a handsome mess of disheveled brown hair. He wore similar clothes to the other boy, though the difference between them was in the color that they held. "Hufflepuff and Griffindor?" Jamie gasped as he ducked behind a grave. Never in his nightmares had he ever seen two other figures... never in his nightmares had he been so desperate to escape. "Did anyone tell you the cup was a Portkey?" The Hufflepuff boy whispered as the Griffindor kid seemed to be looking around. Jamie flinched back as the boy gazed his way. "I-I don't know." Jamie glanced over the top of the stone and got a better sight of the Griffindor boy.
Immediately he regretted doing so.
The boy was covered in filth and scratched. His black mess of hair was scruffy and looked as though he had been caught in a gale force cyclone! "What the hell is a Portkey!" Jamie hissed as he looked back at the boy. He was wearing a pair of glasses and had his wand gripped firmly in his hand.
"Is this supposed to be part of the task?" He whispered.
"I don't know..." That voice... only one person had that voice! The black hair and the glasses! There was just no way it could be-
"Wands out... what do you reckon?" The other boy asked.
"Yeah..." The boy gripped his wand more firmly as they began to walk forward. Jamie locked his eyes on a large statue of a hooded angel which wore a cowl over it's head and kept a scythe lifted high... no... "Don't go near that head stone!" He tried to scream out.
"Someone's coming!" The taller boy hissed.
Jamie held his chest painfully as he fell to his knees and coughed up blood onto the ground. He had to warn them! HE HAD TO STOP THEM! He tried to look up but his vision was swimming painfully and his chest was screaming in absolute agony. "STOP!" He screamed out as he watched a man in a torn black suit slowly walk out the ground. His hair was torn in patches like some savage man stuck on a desolate island but he certainly wasn't starved. He was filled out into his suit and walked with precision steps holding a bundle wrapped in black cloth... no not bundle.
Because the cloth was moving, slowly and painfully as though each movement was the most agonizing burden afforded to it. "Don't go any closer!" He pleaded but the man kept walking. Jamie just felt a torrent of crimson spew from his mouth as he gagged for breath, searching desperately for any kind of air which could be afforded to him.
Jamie finally saw the boy in red double over in pain as he clutched his forehead. "RUN YOU IDIOTS!" He roared.
"Harry!? What's wrong!? HARRY!?" The taller boy backed away slightly before staring in horror at the man in the suit. Dark black eyes were regarding him slowly with a glinting lights. A toothy, rat like grin slow slid across his fat ugly face as the boy backed away a bit more and the bundle under the robe finally let out a pain full breath before a voice echoed, with a cold grating rasp. It was like a dagger on stone or the sound of a heart being stabbed with the scream that followed. "Kill the spare." It hissed. Jamie stared in horror as the man produced his wand and with a sharp swish turned it towards the boy in gold who stared on.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!"
A blast of emerald soared through the night as it burnt through the mist. As it hit the Hufflepuff boy his mouth slowly fell open as the light enveloped his chest. His eyes widened as he was lifted off the floor. "NO!" Jamie screamed as he watched the boy get rocketed backwards and smashed his face violently into the stone of a grave. If the curse hadn't killed him.
Then that had.
It had all happened within the space of a second and now the fat man ran forward with a bright grin as he aimed his wand and the screaming boy who was pushed back against the angel of death statue. It began to move before it's cold hand grabbed him by the neck and hoisted him into the air and pulling him securely against the cold marble as the boy fought off getting strangled. "MAKE IT STOP!" Jamie screamed as he watched.
"DO IT NOW!" The hissing voice ordered as a cauldron began to get dragged forward and lit with explosive flames which began boiling water. "Yes my master." The man bowed pathetically as he held the bundle over the water.
Jamie will be tortured by what he saw next.
For the rest of his life.
The bundle fell open and everything seemed to slow down as a large fleshy object began to drop. It was pulled into a close ball like a crouching child. It's body consisted of mainly skin and bone though it's blind eyes managed to lock on Jamie for a few seconds. It had no hair... no lips. Otherwise it just had two slits for a nose. Jamie just began to cry as he spewed blood onto the ground and heard the thick joyful scream erupt as the thing hit the water of the cauldron. "Bone... of the father." The fat man aimed his wand at the marble stone next to the boy as a bone began to life out of the cracked rock and hovered over to the boiling waters which had turned the same tone as the skin which had just melted into it. The man quickly put away the wand as he walked over to the gigantic pot and produced a dagger which glinted in the light. He raised a grubby hand over the water and began to whimper. "Flesh of the servant... willingly... given."
A painful scream followed and Jamie looked away as the flesh sliced and the man's hand fell into the water letting a stream of blood taint the grass. He bit his lip to the point Jamie watched fresh blood drip down his face. He turned his dark eyes towards the boy on the statue before he began to return a pale grin as he slowly and like a zombie moved over to the boy as he held up the dagger. "Blood of the enemy." He hissed as he pushed the dagger, slowly and deeply into the boys arm who let out a gurgling screech as it moved down his forearm. "The dark lord. Shall rise. ONCE AGAIN!" The blood from the knife began to drip into the water and Jamie collapsed onto the ground as the pain spread infinitely through his body. Coursing with no stop.
The cauldron exploded as flames and black mist roared into the sky. "Robe me..." A voice hissed. This time the pain had vanished entirely from it and now it stood walking out the mist as this... this... this skeleton with skin took leisurely at his pace as he pulled a thick black robe around himself which the man produced. The very ground beneath his feet seemed to shrivel and die.
Jamie couldn't take it no more. As the pain became too much he began to fall away into the darkness of his mind. It felt like a while and an eternity passed until he heard that voice again. There was a silent glee in it as it spoke slowly and leisurely. "Come now Harry." Jamie slowly blinked his eyes as his face lay in the warmth of his blood. Harry? No way... it was impossible. "The niceties must be observed." The man slowly slid a long dark tooth grin. "I said bow." The man slowly aimed his wand and Harry slumped over with a groan and agonizing growl. From the dark gleam in the man's eyes Jamie knew just was coming next. "NO!"
"CRUCIO!" The man yelled excitedly.
"PROTEGO!" Jamie roared as he took half the blast with Harry. If either of them had taken the hit full on, it would have ended both of them, right there and then. Both writhed violently on the floor. "Crucio!" The man said with a finality and a flick of his wand as Jamie turned on the spot and let his head rest back into the blood. "Kill me." He begged.
"They will talk of this night." The man stood over Harry with an cold impassive face. "How the great Harry Potter begged for death... and I being the merciful lord... gave it to him."
"Go to hell." Jamie hissed as his head slowly turned. His dark locks were glued down to his head from the drying blood.
Harry slowly groaned as he turned over and Jamie was lost himself. He could barely move, he could barely think. Everything was just pure agony. The man though seemed to relish in this. Jamie slowly closed his eyes as that dark laughter filled him.
"No more." He whispered.
"GET UP. GET UP!" His eyes blinked open wearily till he saw the boy scrambling away from the man and the statue. "Run." He whispered weakly as he began to push himself up from the ground. "We're not playing hide and seek Harry!" The man shouted out with a blood lust filled tone. "I WANT TO SEE YOU DIE! I WANT TO SEE THE LIGHT LEAVE YOUR EYES WHEN I KILL YOU!" The boy scrambled next to Jamie as he panted for breath.
Jamie just stared at him. The boy held a cold defiant look as he slowly regained his breath. Jamie could see it in his eyes. "You can't do it." he whispered. The boy slowly rose from behind the grave and Jamie pushed his body up frantically as he stumbled over. "DON'T DO IT!" He screamed but no one could hear him.
"Have it your way then..." The man and the boy seemed to look at each other for a moment before everything began to slow down for Jamie. "NO!" The man shot his fanged smile.
Then it happened.
Jamie's eyes widened as the man pulled his wand back. Jamie scrambled his pocket and quickly took aim with his own as the boy did. He screamed with the Harry as they shouted. "EXPELLIARMUS!"
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" The man roared.
Green and red began to launch towards each other as a torrent of a red tide roared out of Harry's and Jamie's wand while a barraged wave exploded from the man's. Instantly as the two clashed Jamie was blasted back as his power was no where to be compared to the two. The others began to near. "STUPEFY!" He hissed and watched as a couple of them were hit back. "DO NOTHING! HE'S MINE TO KILL!" The man roared relentlessly.
This had to end.
But as Jamie watched a figure began to walk out from the darkness of the shadows. He was pale with a defiant grin on his face. "Parker?!" Jamie exclaimed. "What the hell are you doing in my-"
"Oh shut up." Parker growled and Jamie quickly fell silent. "You pathetic waste. You could have been so much." The tall muscled boy began to laugh deeply and Jamie shifted his weight as he stared in horror. "Your father is one of the greatest wizards that ever existed and you waste your time! You are such a idiot Jamie! YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE HIS SON!"
"What the hell are you on about Parker!" Jamie screamed as the two figures had frozen. Everything had become completely still.
The torrent of the two spells were frozen at mid collision. But now Jamie was just staring at his friend. "Why are you saying this!?" Jamie insisted as he began to take a step back on his leg which sent pain coursing up his body.
"Because you're going to help me Jamie." Parker slowly pulled out his wand and twirled it in his fingers. "You're either going to become better than your father... or shed your blood and bring him back."
"What are you on about!?" He hissed as behind his back he gripped his wand tightly. He could see the darkness moving in Parker's eyes.
"Option two it is then..."
Jamie barely had time to react as time resumed. "AVADA KEDAVRA"
"EXPELLIARMUS!" Jamie screamed and gripped his wand tightly as the two battles resumed. The dream would only end when Harry survived and at this rate. Jamie watched as his wand grew dangerously hot in his hands and he tightened his grip, releasing every bit of pent up emotion and pain course through his mind. Every hidden pocket of darkness was unleashed. "HARRY YOU HAVE TO GO!" Jamie screamed but Parker burst into laughter.
"HE CAN'T HELP YOU!" Parker roared with a dark laughter as golden light exploded from the wands.
Jamie had no choice.
He closed his eyes tightly. "I'm sorry." He whispered and Parker began to watch as the shadows began to burn around Jamie. He gripped his wand as tightly as he could in one hand and stood with his back straight as he radiated power. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" The red of his wand soon turned to emerald as it surged towards Parker. "This..."
He lowered his wand and broke the connection.
"Was worth it."
"NO!"
Jamie panted for breath heavily with a scream as he sat up in bed and held his chest. "Jamie?! Jamie?!" A boy who was lay next to him in the bed sat up quickly. "What's wrong!?"
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" He screamed pushing the boy away from him but before he could move he stopped as his stomach lurched and pain ran sharply through his chest. He pulled his hands to his mouth as he gagged and blood poured out his mouth and seeped through his fingers onto the black sheets.
"Jamie." The boy returned quickly and stared into his eyes. "Jamie.. I'm here. Come on, deep breaths. Keep calm." The boy slowly set a breathing pace for Jamie who began to follow it shakily still bringing up coughs of blood. "It's okay." A hand comfortingly moved up and down his back.
Jamie turned his head and gazed into the boy's eyes. "R-Russel?" He looked at the Latino's caramel eyes and hazel hair. "What's happening to me?" He whispered but Russel just pulled out a damp bit of cloth. "Nothing." The boy smiled softly. "Just a bad nightmare, I promise." He began to dab at the areas around Jamie's mouth where blood had begin to set. "Come on, lets go get you clean." He whispered but as Jamie went to stand his eyes widened and a high pitch scream exploded behind his closed mouth as his leg gave out and he fell into Russel's arms. "Jamie I have to get you to the medical wing-"
"No." He whispered as he took a seat slowly back on the bed. "J-Just come and lay with me." Russel watched as those emerald orbs gazed longingly into his own. "Please?" He pleaded.
But Russel was already pulling back the sheets as he slid under the covers with Jamie who went into the tightly embrace quickly as though a soldier retreating from a lost battle. Russel had never understood these dreams that Jamie had. Ever since his boy friend had turned sixteen, Russel had watched him have nightmares and come out of bed in the morning looking like he had been mauled in some battle. "I wish I knew what was going on in that head of yours." He whispered softly after Jamie had fallen back into a restful slumber. This year meant something very important for the two of them this year.
Something dark was coming back to Hogwarts.
Something which everyone wished to forget about. The last time it had come to Hogwarts, darkness had begun to return to the world... and know.
Everyone in the school was once again dreading it. "Jamie Riddle." Russel whispered. "Now and forever. I love you." He lent his head down and buried it into Jamie's hair as he hugged him tighter. "I promise you, I will always stand by you. No matter what." Russel pulled out his wand and pointed it to his lips and hand before he lent in and kissed Jamie's head in a blessing while his hand gripped his boyfriend's tightly. "I will always be there for you." Golden lines slowly drew over their lips as Russel kissed his boyfriend. The lines tightly wrapped their hands and Russel added in his head. Always now and forever. I promise.
Russel pulled back slowly and felt his lips. That was his unbreakable vow to Jamie.
And he didn't regret it one bit.
