Blackstar was pretty much carrying the boy in, he looked so weak. "Blackstar can you ask Daniel when lunch will be ready, please." Blackstar nodded and left, the boy looks far too close to death for me to stomach. He really had no life in his eyes. "Hello my name is..." I was cut off.

"It'll be done when it's done Clairie, so let me cook and I'll tell you when it's ready." Daniel yells at me from the kitchen. I can always count on him to give me a fresh dose of normalcy, the only time he calls me anything close to 'milady' is when his acting.

"Kay. Sorry about that, my name is Éclair Kura Derávon, what's your name?" his mouth says nothing, as do his eyes but they tell me so much it hurts. "Do you know how long they were starving you?" eyes flicker for less than half a moment, but it's enough to give me hope, and the fear of his death. He doesn't just look on the verge of death; he is on the verge of death.

I move to sling him over my shoulder gently and move out of the room and into the dining room. "Blackstar can you carry him?" As Blackstar takes him, I move across the room to where it opens up to the kitchen "They have been starving him for well over a month, we'll be lucky if he survives the night but if he does I think he'll be ok. I'm going to set him up in my room, after everyone has their food can you tend to him, see if he can handle a simple broth?" Daniel only nods, I guess he can tell I am beyond pissed and that if it wasn't for the fragile state of my friends in the room I would have blown up by now.

I start walking up the stairs, completely missing the shocked and or horrified stares, with blackstar following me. I showed him to my room and tell him to put the boy in the bed and get him comfortable as I walk back to the storage closet where we keep the linens and medical equipment. Finally a pro to having been raised in seclusion, about anything short of surgery we can do from here at home. Pulling out some IV equipment and a life signs monitor and set it up in my room all the while Blackstar is giving me a strange look. I hadn't noticed but the kid fell asleep at some point.

After finishing, Blackstar finally asks, I guess he was waiting for me to be done helping the kid. "So why do you guys just happen to have all this medical stuff?"

"I was very secluded growing up." He gives me this look of 'that's not a real answer', but decides to drop it for now. "Can you stay with him until Daniel comes to replace you?"

"Of course, milady."

Back in the kitchen I motion for the last female of our new friends to come with me into my mini-doctor's office. "Hello, my name is Éclair Kura Derávon, what's your name?" I can tell she's shocked and a little weary, but in the end she must have made up her mind.

"My name's Maka." Her voice is small but semi-confident, which is a good sign, and thankfully starts to lift my spirit a bit.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" she shakes her head no. "I want you to know your safe here and you're safe to be yourself and human." It doesn't seem like she believes me but at the very least time might change her mind. "Ok, Can you please send in the boy with the strange hair."

"Hello sit down please." He walks in and sits down, the whole time not making eye contact but not submissive either. "Are you hurt anywhere?" Head shake no "ok well, my name is Éclair Kura Derávon, What's your name?" He turns and glares at me, I almost flinch. "I have to call you something, if you don't have a name you can pick one like the sisters."

"Kid" it's no more than a whisper and I get the feeling he doesn't want me to know.

"You don't have to keep any demeaning names they gave you" super death glare that put the sisters to shame and this time I did flinch, a lot. "Ok kid, your safe none of us are going to hurt you in any way." All there is is silence of an unnerving sort. "Ok well let go see if Daniel is done cooking."

We walk into the dining room to see Daniel start serving up portion. "Ok everyone who's new here, eat slowly and stop when you're full. We will have at least three meals a day so don't worry about having enough to eat, and if you over eat you'll get sick. You guy probably aren't use to normal portion meal so take it easy. Clare, Tosou's is on the counter and the blue haired kid's is right here." He say as he places a plate of random food on the table, then picks up his food and the white haired kids broth, and start for the stairs before I stop him.

"Oh yeah, their names," Say I tell him the names I gestures to the person I'm talking about. "This Maka, Tsubaki, kid, the sister don't have name yet, and blackstar is with the white haired kid up stairs whose name I have yet to learn."

"Kay" he waves back to us as he walks up the stairs.

We were almost out of food this morning and we have food in portions of three so everyone is eating different meals or has more than one portion of different meals on they're plate. Blackstar comes down the stairs soon enough, having been replaced by Daniel. After we are all done eating I get everyone's attention so I can go over some ground rules.

"There are some things I want to get straight with all of you so that we all understand each other. First off, we are all humans so in my book and in this house we are all equal. I don't care what your title is, you could be a slave or the king and it wouldn't matter. Second, you are all safe here we aren't going to punish you or kill you or anything else. At most if some of you want to spar you can go to the top floor and do so. Third, all of us help out evenly, or at least as much as possible. Sorry tall people I can't reach the top shelf. And fourth, just be yourselves, ok."

Ok so I'm really sorry about not updating, but good new i didn't die. i survived my sickness and i'm now on the mend, the mend can take up to 2 years, not joking. but I'm alive so it's all good. I will be trying to update much more often. like update at all. sorry about not warning you guys about the hiatus i kinda almost died because i was so sick, so please forgive me.
