Chapter 4: Super Powers
It was late when Buttercup started to leave the boys home and she was a little surprised when Brick offered to walk her home. She tried to refuse but he talked her into it. Brick was silent as he walked her home. Buttercup wasn't use to seeing Brick alone without his brothers so she remained silent when suddenly someone stepped in front of them. Buttercup looked up and she saw a kid who was a few years older than her, he had green skin and he looked like a snake. "SSSSorry kidssss but I need you guys to hand over all of your cassssh" The kid said as he pulled out a knife. Buttercup saw the knife and she got a little scared but then Brick stepped in front of her and he said "Come on Snake we don't want any trouble with the Gangreen Gang just let us pass." Snake just stepped forward and he raised the knife "I can't do that but I think you need a little persuasion so I might just have to cut that pretty little girl." Brick turned and angry shade of red and he said "Stay away from her." Snake ignored him as he advanced on Buttercup.
Buttercup wanted to run but she found herself unable to move as snake pushed Brick away from her. Snake was about to stab her with the knife when a red beam hit Snakes knife and he screamed. "SSSSon of a bitch that hurt." Snake said as he looked at his hand which had an imprint of the knife burned into his skin. Brick suddenly appeared in front of Buttercup and his eyes glowed red as he said"Get out of here Snake or else." Snake took off and Brick walked over to Buttercup "Are you ok?" Buttercup just stared at him and there was a little bit of fear in her eyes as she asked "how did you do that?" Brick suddenly looked concerned as he said "Oh crap Butch and Boomer are going to kill me for doing that." Buttercup just stared at him and he finally said "listen I need to ask my brothers if it's ok to tell you everything but I promise if you come over tomorrow I will tell you everything…now you should probably head home and I need to tell my brothers what just happened." Buttercup just nodded and she ran past Brick as she headed home. Brick watched her guy and he had a frown on his face, he was also mumbling something but it wasn't possible to make out what he was saying.
Two hours later Brick was waiting in an alley standing impatiently as someone approached. "Your late Ace" he said and Ace got an angry look on his face as he said "I was making sure Snake was ok you didn't have to hurt him that bad." Brick leaned against the wall and said "Snake will be fine now did you get the rest on board?" Ace lit a cigarette and he took a puff as he answered "Yes I did all of the old gang is onboard….Princess, Sedusa, Fuzzy…hell I even got the Amoeba Boys to agree to come back." Brick smiled as he said "excellent know we have to discuss your next mission." Ace took another poof as he said "I know but there is something you should know…"Brick was silent so Ace continued "…we tried to find him and Mojo but nobodies seen them in years sorry." Brick nodded as he said "I told you guys not to waste your time my fathers are dead or they might as well be after what they did." Ace nodded as he said "I agree what they did to the girls was bad even by our standards but it could have been worse after all if you are telling me the truth the PowerPuff girls should be back soon." Brick shook his head sadly as he said "Not all of them I only was able to find Spice" Ace shrugged his shoulders as he said "It's a start but something still bugs me...I know you want us to be in your little army but why did you tell us we could still try to commit crimes none of the girls will stand for it." Brick nodded and his smile grew even bigger "Of course they won't stand for it but as long as you guys don't kill the girls I have nothing against giving you guys and the girls a little "exercise"" Ace let out a whistle as he said "Wow….but where will you and your boys stand in the whole crime thing." Brick just shrugged his shoulders "chances are we will just be watching from the sidelines and fighting anyone we think will be a challenge."
Ace said "I can respect that know what's my next mission?" Brick said calmly "I need you to go to Monster Island." Ace let out a curse as he said "Are you kidding me I wouldn't last five minutes on that island." Brick responded "No you will be fine as long as you bring Big Billy alone since he is technically a monster they should leave you guys alone." Ace seemed to be reassured by what Brick said and Ace said "OK but I doubt you would send me just as a social call." Brick nodded and he said "You're right I want you to deliver a message..." Ace didn't ask the obvious question so Brick continued "..I want you to tell them that Townsville is once again open for attack but make sure you tell them that the PowerPuff girls will not be able to participate but that their chosen guardians the RowdyRuff boys will be defending the city." Ace nodded as he said "Ok I'll tell them but don't expect a response for at least 24 hours." Brick put his hand out as he said "That was expected and it will probably take that long to tell Spice everything about me and my brothers." Ace frowned a little bit as he asked "Shouldn't she already know all of that stuff?" Brick shock his head "I'm afraid not she doesn't remember anything about being a hero or that she even has powers which is why I want the old gang back I'm hoping it will help her to remember." Ace asked "And if it doesn't" Brick frowned as he said "Then I will have to tell her what happened seven years ago and how in order to give my brothers a normal life I inadvertently destroyed theirs."
(Authors note when Brick is talking about Spice he means Buttercup…I decided to give them secret identities that will tie into the plot specifically when it came to the events that happened between the RowdrRuff Boys and the PowerPuff girls seven years before the start of this fanfic. I'm not sure what the others Super identities will be but I think it will tie into their main elements that created the group (Ex. RowdyRuff boys=Snipes, Snails, and Puppy Dog tails))
