Hey guys! So I have news, I am back! My mock exams are finished and now I am just preparing myself for the real things in June so I have a lot of time now to write and actually make this introduction into a proper story. Unfortunately my actual plan for this story has been lost on my dodgy laptop so I now have to try (and fail) to remember where I was heading with this plot. But not to worry! I am always on a creative agenda so I'm sure I can create a similar plan or an even better one!

Also guys this is more of a mini chapter to introduce the next one so I'm apologizing in advance for the cliffy.

Last thing, THIS IS THE YEAR OF VAMPIRE ACADEMY! In other words, we have Blood Sisters to look forward to this year How exciting! I am definitely ecstatic for it, however I am still disappointed with the first trailer they did but oh well…

Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Academy

AND FINALLY REVIEW MY LITTLE VAMPIRES!

Chapter 4:

I had a nap after listening into Lissa's 'telling off'. I have to be honest if there's one thing about Moroi that I would love to have is the royalty factor but only to get away with things. In other words Lissa was let off lightly with a 'Don't let Rose influence your decisions in life'. I know that Lissa argued back but it was pointless. There is a lot of prejudice between Dhampirs and Moroi, especially Royal Moroi. It's a useless cause considering all royalty are Moroi so Dhampirs don't really have a say.

When I had finished catching up the sleep I'd lost on the flight and I gotten changed into comfortable clothes, I checked in with Lissa to meet up before lunch. We needed to stick together and not just for her safety but also so we are supporting each other for the gossip and stares we will have when we enter the commons.

As Lissa and I stepped into the commons for a second time today, I moved us straight to the food line so I could scope out a seat while we were queuing. I felt Lissa's anxiousness from all the stares and without Dimitri, I felt them more but I ignored them for Lissa's sake. Instead I traced all the familiar faces, checking for danger and looking for two specific ones: Mason and Eddie. Our two best friends from before we left. I was jolted out of my scan when I was picked up and spun around. Being surprised, I did what I was trained for and hit the person hard in the stomach to get out of the embrace. I heard the grunt and then the shocked squeak from Lissa scorning me. I came out of my crouch when I realised who it was.

"Mason!" I said happily and jumped back into his arms as he slowly recovered, knocking us to the floor and the wind out of him.

"Rosie." He wheezed, I ignored his nickname for me because I was used to him calling me it. "Talk about wounding a man's pride!" He joked, hugging me back.

I noticed the position we were in and smiled evilly, leaning into his ear. "I bet your ego isn't wounded. I mean look you have the hottest girl in school on top of you." I whispered, then climbed off him laughing at his lustful expression. I pulled him up after me and his face turned back into a goofy grin.

"Oh Rose, I really did miss you and 'personality'…" I punched him hard making him say 'Ouch' loudly to the amusement of other people. I smiled wider when he muttered quietly about how strong I was.

"Well as much as this is making me laugh I think I deserve a hug too don't I?" Eddie said as he stood next to Lissa. I ran to him next and dived onto him, but he was prepared for me unlike Mason. I giggled at that. My red headed friend was never ready for things.

"Oh I've missed you all so much!" I exclaimed excitedly. I squeezed him one last time and then dropped back down and observed all the stares we were getting. Ignoring them I grabbed Eddie and Mason's hands, following Lissa to the lunch queue again. She was quietly laughing at me and my antics which brought on the giggles to me.

Mason looked at me quizzing. "What are you two ladies laughing at, may I ask?" He wiggled his eyebrows knowing the answer already.

"Quit trying to be a gentleman Mase, you don't have it in you." I slapped his arm lightly and started piling food onto my plate.

"Oh but Miss, I am a gentleman. Oh silly me! I forgot to introduce myself. I am Mason Ashford, but you can call me Mr Ashford. So may I know your name beautiful Miss." He then gracefully bowed to me holding my hand making me burst out laughing.

"Dear sir, I am sorry but my father would disapprove of such a way to talk to a lady so I must depart without ado." I smiled politely in my act thinking of what Abe will really say – he is too much like me so he would probably just have satire dripping from his teeth. Like father, like daughter really. I then held my tray and hooked my arm with Lissa's and we walked off towards an empty table. Eddie grabbed Lissa's arm and steered us to another table.

"Sorry but we have people to introduce to you to, okay?" I smiled in curiosity. We walked to a table with 3 Moroi on it already: Two females and one male.

"Hey guys. I'm sure you remember these two considering they have starred in our gossip since arriving at Saint Vlad's so many years ago." Mason remarked slyly. I nudged his side hard making him cringe. Serves him right for basically calling us attention whores (only I can call myself that!). "So this is Mia Rinaldi," he pointed to the blonde curly haired with plump little cheeks. She looked kind of like a porcelain doll and was the smallest Moroi I had ever seen. She looked eleven! She smiled brightly at us to which I returned. "This is Christian Ozera." Mason introduced us and Christian gave a small painful smile. He had black hair and piercing blue eyes. His name reminded of a story I had heard a while back from my parents… My eyes widened slightly when I realised he was the main person in the 'story'. He was the boy who had almost been turned Strigoi by his parents. His parents were Strigoi and planned to turn him but his Auntie, Natasha Ozera, came and rescued him along with a bunch of Guardians. He watched his parents die at the hands of Guardians. Although he wasn't Strigoi himself, some people thought he wasn't far off, with the way he always wore black and kept to himself, well did keep to himself. I nodded my head in acknowledgment and felt Lissa do the same but she seemed much more shy. She also seemed interested in him. I'll ask her about that later. "And lastly this is Jillian Mastrano. She is the year below us so call her by the nickname jailbait." Mason explained. She rolled her green eyes at Mason and looked at Lissa and I with a shy smile. She was extremely tall unlike Mia and was rail thin. She also had brown curly hair. She was cute. I smiled back.

"Now the introductions are over, can I sit down now Mason?" I bobbed my tongue out at him childishly and dropped myself into the seat next to Jailbait. I started to scoff at my food moaning loudly in the process. Everyone on the table stared at me funnily. I cleared my mouth.

"What? I haven't eaten since last night. I'm starved and then as you all know a girl has gotta keep her appetite up for all the dramas in life." I then proceeded to continue in my noisy eating while they all laughed at me.

"Drama? More like drama queen!" Mason laughed. My eyes narrowed slightly but I didn't do anything back. At least not in front of Lissa's eyes: I kicked Mason hard under the table while shovelling in my next mouthful. His laughter was cut short by a shout of pain. I kept on eating to avoid the confused stares of my friends and one meaningful glare from my sister.

We continued eating, playfully arguing throughout. All of us partook in the conversation, but Christian who seemed very withdrawn. To be honest he just seemed like a very withdrawn guy from the start and it is most likely due to the fact that everyone judges him for his parent's mistakes.

Throughout lunch our disappearance from the academy was never mentioned seriously for which I was glad. Only light topics were provided, though Lissa and I both knew that eventually we would have to explain why we ran to Eddie and Mason at least which was something we dreaded.

"Rosemarie, it is time for you to leave." I flinched at the sound of the accented voice behind me. Cursing under my breath I wondered how I had let my guard down so much over an entertaining conversation. I shuddered thinking of the outcomes of this encounter if it were outside the protection of the academy. It was not what a Guardian should do.

Slowly standing up, I turned to glare at the ridiculously tall Russian. "It is still lunch which means that I can stay here Guardian Belikov." I stood my ground, wanting to enjoy what little time I will have with my friends before Lissa and I escape again.

"Lunch is considered social time and you have obviously finished your food." He swept his hand to my cleared plate. "So I have been given instruction to take you to your room." My eyes narrowed even further to which he raised his eyebrow, waiting for me to give in. The respect he had gained by standing up to Kirova was quickly diminishing.

In the end Lissa used the same word she had used when I was fighting him. Stop. I glanced at her before turning to Belikov. "Come on then Comrade." I then walked off. As I left the large room, I started to head towards the gym, not wanting to go back to a room that will be my prison for the next few weeks.

Regrettably, Belikov knew what I was doing and used one hand to turn me towards my dorm. I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder and continued on in my first direction.

"Belikov." I snapped. "Just let me go to the gym. I promise not to 'socialise'." I mocked the word by using two fingers when I said it. "Besides isn't this why I'm at the academy? To improve my skills ready for when I become a Guardian? That means I need to train and build myself to be the best." My childish side almost took over when I was very tempted to bob my tongue out at him.

He looked impressed with my quick 'bullshit' but continued on. "You are very right Rosemarie but unfortunately you should know the given rule at not doing anything after you have eaten? Besides, I think we both know that practising is something that you probably don't need much of considering our last sparring session. You seem to be pretty talented already Miss Hathaway." He said with sarcasm, while keeping his Guardian mask on. However his eyes shown the clear amusement he felt at this situation. I felt my cheeks flame at someone beating me at arguing. I also knew deep down the redness now displayed on my cheeks wasn't just because of the circumstances but because of him.

I cursed inwardly at him but I steeled myself into a similar mask he wore and started to walk past him towards my dorm. "You win this one Comrade." I gave a quick smile at him before walking quickly. He followed me after chuckling. My smile broke through my façade again due to his obvious enjoyment of our conversation.

He sustained staying behind me as we walked towards my dorm in companionable silence. It was strange how silence felt this comfortable when I'm usually the one to break it because I didn't like it.

As we entered the dorm and headed towards my room, I glanced behind me. He was following some steps behind me with an expression of boredom on his face. Knowing my face matched his, I laughed inwardly as I came to a stop in front of my room. He stopped too.

"Thanks for bringing me to my prison Comrade." I grumbled to him. He chuckled again.

"You're welcome Rosemarie. Though maybe after a few weeks, you feel differently about your room." He said.

Before he could say anything else I butted in. "Please stop calling me Rosemarie! It makes me feel thirty years older than I actually am." I moaned exasperatingly. I didn't need another person using that dreaded name. "And as for my room, I hated it when I was last here so I don't think my opinion will change." I smiled and turned to my door opening it. "See you later Comrade. I hope that you will be ready for me when I beat your ass in training."

I closed my door hearing him whisper. "Goodbye Rose." I smiled widely at that and leaned against my door thinking about how he seemed to either brighten my mood or annoy me. He really was comparable to me in many senses.

I pushed myself off the door and walked slowly to my bed, ready to take yet another nap before I had to actually train. I still needed to catch on my precious sleep to function to my best ability. Just as I was about to flop on my bed, I noticed an envelope with my name written very elegantly on my pillow. Someone had broken into my room. Looking around, nothing else seemed to be out of place. I sighed in relief slightly at that but my eyes went back to the envelope. Sleep was now the last thing on my mind…
