Breakfast and Blushes

"Why did your houseelf just nearly shove me out of bed and tell me he'd bring me down in my pants if I didn't make an appearance at the breakfast table, potter?"

I smirked behind my Daily Prophet as Draco sat across from me at the table, before schooling my features and lowering it to peer over at him as he began to serve himself. "Kreacher, has quite the mind of his own, of course it may have something to do with me telling him to send you down by any means necessary." He looked up at me with a glare.

"And, why, might I ask would you do that?"

"We have a few things to discuss and I have a few places to go today so this is the most convenient time for me." I said finally just folding the paper and laying it beside my plate.

Draco sat back in his chair hand cupping his newly poured coffee with both hands. "Alright. The floor is yours Potter."

"Harry." I corrected

He sighed. "Why does it matter if I call you Harry or Potter?"

"We are going to be living together for eight years. I think it is time to put the animosity behind us." I explained

"I don't say it out of animosity. It's your name. Your formal title." He said, eybrow raised.

"Well I don't really want to be formal with you for the next eight years." I said digging my fork rather viciously into my sausage. I didn't even know why it particularly bothered me, I just knew now that I'd begun to be bothered by it, I wanted it to change.

"Alright, fair enough, I secede to your point, Harry." Draco said before cutting into his eggs and taking a bite.

"Really? Great!" I said not expecting him to give in so easily. "Ok so, a few things. Teddy and Andromeda, your cousin and Aunt, always come over on Saturday and then I keep Teddy every other week Saturday and Sunday night. I've owled her about your presence, but for the moment we will assume that Teddy will be staying over this weekend. I would like you to have dinner with us, however if you don't feel you could have a pleasant demeanor towards them I'd rather you just not be around." I paused and looked at him expectantly.

Draco lifted his napkin and slowly wiped aristocraticly at his mouth before speaking. "I'd actually be interested in learning more about my Aunt, I'm not great with children, however. So while I will attempt to be civil I make no promises on the child's reactions to me."

"Teddy is still a baby, only about 4 months old, his demands on people are pretty low, as well as his reactions. Moving on, Ginny is going to stay for a week or so with George. Before you ask it's not really much to do with you. George has just had a rough time since- well since the Battle of Hogwarts" I said as Draco stopped sipping his coffee, placing his cup on the saucer.

"I heard, about Fred Weasley I mean. I actually always admired the twin Weasley's a bit. They were fairly brilliant." Draco said in a hushed voice looking down at his empty plate.

"Yes, he's very missed. Umm.. it's been hard. For George especially. Ron is helping at the shop, but he's no Fred." I looked through Draco, instead seeing the scene I'd witnessed at the funeral, George crouched by the coffin hand and cheek resting against it at he choked on his sobs.

"Yes well, is that all or am I free to return to my rooms." Draco said pulling me out of those depressive memories.

"Oh. Er. As I said I have errands to run do you need anything while I'm out?"

"Um I know you loaned me some stuff but I have a short list if you could. Just until we can get that shopping trip, you mentioned yesterday, approved." Draco's cheeks turned pink and he looked embarrassed as he handed over the list.

"Sure this list looks- er wait. You have to be kidding." I said looking up, not sure whether to look shocked or annoyed. "Lube Malfoy? Seriously? And a specific kind?"

"I thought we were going by first names." Draco responded sharply, though his blush raged more hotly over his cheeks and neck. "And yes I have certain needs as a young male and have a preference. Pardon me. No one will question you buying it and will discretely wrap it for you." His face had become increasingly red.

"Fine, blimey I'll buy your desperately needed lube." I proclaimed, standing from the table and rushing away as I felt a blush rise to my own face at my words.
