Enough talking, here's the end of this story.
Don't forget to R&R.
Ross enters his room carrying a tray with orange juice, toasted breads, a variety of fruits and a red rose. He leaves it next to the bed where Rachel is still asleep. To him, she looks lovely with messy hair, bare back exposed and the white sheet covering the rest of her body. He approaches her and whispers her name in her ear caressing her hair and kissing her cheek. She stirs and slowly open her eyes blinking her eyelashes a few times, realizing where she is. Ross smiled at her kissing the side of her head and she smiled back.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty."
"Morning."
"How did you sleep?"
"Hmm…pretty great, and you?"
"Best sleep in months."
"Good to hear this."
"I made breakfast for you. Would you like some?"
"Aw, that was so sweet of you. And yes, I would like some, I'm starving!" She says attempting to move her body to a sitting position, but Ross rapidly stops her and hands her his dress shirt from last night.
"I think you'd like to wear this for now."
"Oh yeah. Thanks."
She sits on the bed and stretches herself before put on his shirt around her body. It smells amazing, she thinks.
"Everything looks delicious. Where do I start?" She asks putting a strand of hair behind her ear and looking at the tray.
"I think you should start by giving me a good morning kiss, and then eating."
One more time she smiles at him staring at his pleading eyes and then to his naked chest before leaning in and giving him a kiss which already left them wanting more.
"Hey, mr. Geller. Let's eat now, huh? Later we can have more fun and enjoy our Saturday."
"Ok, mrs..."
"Greene. My single name is Greene."
"Rachel Karen Greene...I agree. Let's eat, gorgeous." He says right before giving her a quick peck on the lips.
Three months have passed since they got together for the first time. The makeover of Ross's medical office is finally done and tonight is the cocktail party he said he wanted to throw. There are almost 100 people in there. Somo of Ross's colleagues, close friends and family. The place is beautiful. Ross look around and think how he and Rachel have worked so well together. They certainly have chemistry and make a good team. And that in so many aspects. When they first met, they picked three words to guide them: confortability, elegance and cleanliness. And this place is the perfect combination of all of them.
Ross is talking to his parents, his sister, Monica, and Chandler, his best friend who is also Monica's fiancée.
"So, darling. When are we gonna meet the responsible for all of this?" Asks Judy, his mother.
"Yeah. Where is she, son?" Adds his father Jack.
"She's coming. She just text me she's stuck in traffic, but close."
"I cannot believe you are dating your architect."
"Why is it so hard to believe, Mon?"
"Cause I heard that she's breathtaking."
"That is true..."
"Chandler!" Reprimends Monica lightly hitting Chandler's chest.
"So, you two...how are the wedding plans?"
"Calm down! We just got engaged last week. The wedding is in two years."
"Did you set a date already?"
"Not yet, but we want it to be in the Spring."
"Nice. I'm sure it'll be perfect."
"Yeah...we are so excited for it, right honey?" Says Monica giving Chandler a kiss on the cheek.
"Yeah, we are."
"She's here." Says Ross seeing her entering the place. She looks beautiful wearing a simple strapless white dress which hugs every curve of her body with a thin black belt and black pumps and with her blonde hair in a high ponytail.
"Hi, honey!" He calls her and she walks towards him.
"Hi, baby. Excuse me for being late?"
He involves her face with both hands giving her a lingering kiss and then a peck.
"This answer your question?"
She smiles at him and kisses him one more time.
"Hm, yes."
"Good...you look beautiful."
"This event and you deserve it."
"I want you to meet some people." He says grabbing her hand and heading towards his parents.
"Ok..."
"Mom, dad?"
"Yes?" Both Jack and Judy turn to look at Ross.
"Finally I can introduce Rachel to you."
"Honey, these are my parents, Jack and Judy."
"Mr. and mrs. Geller, hi. It's a plea..."
"Aw, sweetheart! We're so glad you're finally here. We were dying to meet you." Says Judy already hugging her new daughter-in-law.
"Thank you so much." Responds Rachel hugging her boyfriend's mother back.
"Wow. Ross said you were beautiful and lovable, and this time he didn't exaggerate."
"Dad, please."
"Oh, that was so sweet of you, sir."
"My pleasure." Jack says grabbing Rachel's hand and kissing it.
"It was nice to meet you too. But unfortunately I have to talk excuse myself to talk to some other people now." She says whispering and covering her mouth.
"Go ahead, Rachel."
"Thank you."
Ross grabbs her by the waist with one hand and calls Monica and Chandler.
"Rach, this is my sister, Monica. And here's Chandler, her fiancée. You've already met him."
"Yeah, sure. Monica, it's so nice to meet you. Hi, Chandler." Rachel says smiling at them.
"Hey, Rachel. Nice to see you again."
"Hi...thanks for making my brother happy. I've never see him like this before."
"It's he who's making me happy as ever. By the way, what a pleasent surprise that you two are engaged. I was so happy when Ross told me."
"Yeah...thank you so much. We're very happy too."
They smile at each other right before Ross takes Rachel's hand and take her to a quiet place.
"You know what?"
"What?"
"I'm so proud of us. It's like now we're officially a couple."
"Yeah...I feel it too. And it's really nice. Now I know how those celebrities feel when they assume a new relationship to the world."
Ross laughs at her comparsion and quickly kiss her.
"I can't wait to get home and enjoy some time alone with you."
"Yeah? Me too."
"How about we get out of here?" He whispers in her ear.
"You know we can't."
"Well, I tried."
"Well, I love you for try."
"Love you more."
Two years later they are all gathered in a large room, very well decorated and the guests are well dressed. Ross is wearing a light grey tuxedo with light blue dress shirt with open collar and caramel shoes. His outfit is casual enough for the occasion. His best friend and sister's civil wedding ceremony. He couldn't be happier.
He's sitting alone at a corner table when he sees her passing holding her cell phone and a large vase with lots of orchids on her hands. She looks beautiful to him. She's wearing a loose off the shoulder nude dress with a thin gold belt right below her breasts and gold strappy high heels sandals.
"Psssshh" he 'calls' her and she stops.
"Hey. I almost did'nt see you today. You're looking terrific." He says giving her a peck on the lips and she smiles.
"Sorry, but you know how Monica is perfectionist."
"And so are you, darling. I get it, but you shouldn't be carrying this things, much less worrying about anything. They hired professionals to do just that."
"Isn't it sweet you all worried about me?"
"No it's not..."
"Sweetie, I'm fine, I promise. Let me just put this on that table and I'll be with you soon."
"Ok...I'll be waiting for you."
Ross is now talking to his parents when his wife embraces him from behind supporting her head on his shoulder getting on tiptoes to do this.
"Hey. Told ya I'd be back soon." She says smiling and winking at Jack and Judy.
They couldn't be happier for they oldest.
"Dear, you look so beautiful today." Judy compliments.
"Thank you, Judy."
"Not only today, mom."
"Ross!" his wife reprimends him lightly tapping his chest.
"You're right, sweetie. Rachel, you are especially beautiful today."
"Well...thank you, Jack."
"And we also like to congratulate you two. One year of marriage already, right?" Reminds Judy.
"Oh yeah! We celebrated our first year last week in a romantic cabin in Colorado! Time flies!"
"It sure does."
"Seeing Mon and Chandler this happy, makes me miss our wedding. It was an amazing day."
"Aww, sweetie. Ten years from now we can renew our vows. It's trendy these days, and..."
Rachel is interrupted by Chandler and Monica at the microphone.
"Test, test. 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3...well, I'm glad this is working."
Everybody looks at them smiling to the happy couple.
"We like to thank everyone for being here on our special day. Each one of you is so much important to us...and please now we like to make a toast with all of you and..."
"Raise your glasses!" Screams an excited Monica.
"I won't drink if you don't." Says Ross embracing his wife from behind.
"Aw, honey. That is so sweet of you, but I think you should do it for both of us then."
"Alright!" He responds. "But then I won't accept you complaining when I get naughty later." He kisses her neck.
"I promise I will not complain. In fact, I think I'll love it." She responds smiling and biting her lower lip.
"Ross, darling!" Calls aunt Margot, Jack's younger sister.
"Aunt Margot, hello!"
"You look handsome, son."
"Well, thank you."
"You're a lucky woman, Rachel."
"Oh, I know. I won the lottery meeting this guy." She says putting one hand on his stomach.
At this moment, Judy and Jack approach them with champagne glasses.
"I'm gonna congratulate the newlyweds now. Excuse me." Says Margot while Judy hands Rachel the glass.
"Uhm, I don't want it, thanks."
"Oh, it's a party, dear. Take one." Jack insists and Judy just looks at her son and daughter-in-law.
"Please..."
"Jack I, I really can't...I'm on medication."
"What for?" Asks a concerned Jack.
"Headache/Backache." Ross and Rachel say together and exchange a glance.
"Dad, she just doesn't want it."
"Doesn't want it, or can't?" Judy asks staring at both of them.
"There is even an important difference?" Rachel asks chuckling.
"Oh yeah...there is plenty of difference." Responds Judy smiling. "Dear, are you?"
Rachel bites her lip and Ross looks down and Judy already has her answer.
"How far along are you?"
"Uhm, what?"
"Rach." Says Ross, she looks at him and takes a deep breath before answering.
"Almost four months." Rachel finally admits smiling from ear to ear.
"Oh, loves! Why did you guys keep this from us? And for such a long time?"
"Well, that's because we were afraid to tell everyone and then something goes wrong. We just waited Rachel reach the twelve weeks first. And she's not even showing yet."
"Well, we can see that she's not showing, but she's certainly glowing. But eveything's okay?"
"Yeah, everything's great. We can't wait to know the baby's sex and all."
"I know. This is a really special phase in a woman's life. Enjoy every second, dear." Judy hugs her daughter-in-law.
"It really is, Judy."
"And how are the cravings, mood changes..." Asks Jack smiling to Ross.
"Well, the cravings in the middle of the night are horrible. The mood changes, without any kind of warning, hell, but her sexual appetite? That's the greatest thing. Really awesome."
"Ross, please!"
"C'mon, Rach. They're family."
"Yeah, right! I'd pay to see you talk like that in front of my parents."
"Well...in that case, I wouldn't."
"I know that."
The Greene household in the Hamptons, is full. Jack, Judy, Monica, Chandler, Rachel's sisters are staying there during the weekend for Ross and Rachel's daughter Katherine first birthday party. It's a huge house, a mansion, with a classic decor with predominantly light colors. The place was remodeled by Rachel and a colleague of hers.
The night before Katherine's party, Rachel and Ross are getting ready to sleep. Ross is sitting with his back against the bed headboard reading a book. His attention is diverted when he sees his wife getting out of the bathroom of the comfortable suite they're occupying wearing only bra and a thong. He almost cannot believe she gave birth just a year ago. Her belly is flat and the only part of her body that looks slightly different are her breasts. She stopped breastfeeding their daughter not long ago, so they appear to be somewhat larger, and he doesn't deny that he loves them this way. She knows he's enjoying this fuller version of her and that's why she loves wearing clevages to please him. Rachel stops in front of the bed leaning down to pick up her PJ's and notice Ross staring intently at her. And she know exactly why.
"What?"
"What, what?"
"You staring at me this way..."
"Are you enjoying?"
"A lot."
"You look gorgeous, you know?"
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. I was admiring you."
She laughs timidly shooking her head.
"It's unbelievable that Kate is already turning one."
"It's unbelievable that Kate is already turning one and you are already looking like this."
"Like how?"
"Stunningly beautiful."
"You're just kidding..."
He puts the book and his reading glasses on the bedside table and looks back at Rachel.
"Come here, look deep into my eyes and repeat that I'm kidding." He entices.
Rachel then crawls over the bed towards him and positions herself in her husband's lap straddling him. Immediately, he puts his hands on her waist and while caressing her back, she gives him a peck on the lips.
"Thank you for always make me feel better about myself."
"Well, I love you. My job is to make you happy. You and our Kate."
"I love you more."
"That's impossible."
They kiss again, this time with more passion.
"Are you sure we should be doing this here?"
"Why not?"
"Cause after all, this is your parents beach house and..."
"Aaaand?"
"And the house is full of people who could hear us."
"I really don't care."
"Ok, you won...but you have to be quiet."
She laughs at him and he smiles back. Both knowing this is a hard task for her.
"I promise I'll do my best."
Ross holds her tighter and rolls her over.
"I'll do my best too...if you know what I mean."
"You better."
During the party, everyone wanted to keep Kate to themselves. The little girl is so cute "just like her mom", Ross is used to say. He and his wife couldn't be happier and proud of their family. He searches for Rachel in the huge backyard of his father-in-law's house. The place is decorated with Frozen's theme and there are even a woman dressed up like princess Elsa to entertain the other kids. Once he spots her he cannot contain a smile. Never, in his entire life, he'd imagined to live practically in Heaven with the perfect woman and a beautiful daughter. Rachel is holding Kate in her arms and the little girl cannot help but pull her mother's hair and put it in her mouth. Ross just observes how she gently took it from her baby's and laughs along with some women she's talking to. His smile grows when he sees her walking towards him.
"Hi, daddy. I think I'm hungry. I almost ate mommy's hair." Rachel says with baby voice smiling and looking at Ross and then Kate.
"I saw that. And you two were gorgeous and so cute together."
"Aw. Thanks, sweetie, but now I really have to warm mini princess Elsa's milk."
"I'll help you." He says putting his hand on the small of Rachel's back guiding her inside the large kitchen. He takes Kate from her arms for her to be able to warm the baby's milk and baby food.
"Hey, if you feed her with baby food now, she won't eat that delicious cake we bought."
"She's so crazy for food. Do you really think she'll turn down a piece of chocolate cake with strawberry topping?"
"Well, you wouldn't."
"Yeah. You know me well." Rachel responds feeding Kate with her milk bottle.
"I really do." Mesmerized, he watched his daughter drinking it so eagerly.
"I think we should sing 'Happy Birthday' now. I can tell she'll be sleeping pretty soon.
"You're right."
They leave the kitchen and call their guests to sing to Kate around the beautiful table very well decorated.
Kate is asleep at her crib on her nanny's bedroom and the adults, as in Ross, Rachel, their parents, Chandler and Monica. Rachel's sister are already at another party. They are all sitting on comfy couches, talking and laughing when Ross feels Rachel's head on his shoulder. He looks at her and notices she's sleeping.
"Uhm, guys. I think someone is really tired here. I'm gonna take her upstairs and I think I'll be there. So, good night. We had a really great time today. Thank you again, Leonard and Sandra for opening your house to us and our guests.
"It was a pleasure, Ross. Have a good night too."
"Nothing less for our only granddaugher. Do you need help to take Rachel to your bedroom?"
"No, no, thank you. I'm used to it. Good night again."
"Good night/night, son."
He stands and picks Rachel up in both his arms to take her to their bedroom. Once there, he gently lays her on the bed and she slowly opens her eyes.
"Hey."
"Hey." He kisses her. "I thought you are sleeping."
"Kinda of. I was just tired of all of that voices downstairs." Ross chuckles hearing this. "You can go back there if you want."
"No. I'd rather be with you here."
"Sweet."
"Oh, I almost forgot."
"What?"
"I have a gift for you."
"A gift?"
"Yeah...just wait."
"Don't tell me you'll strip for me again?"
He laughs out loud remembering that tragic experience he had once.
"Of course not. You hated it." He says while opening his bagagge and taking a box from the inside.
"Nooo, I didn't. I was just caught by surprise and found it pretty funny."
"Yeah, right."
"Sorry, baby."
"Here. For you."
"Thank you. What I did to deserve this on our daughter's birthday?"
"You gave me her."
Rachel's eyes fill with tears hearing his sweet words and opening the box. Inside of it there are two flight tickets.
"Wow. Where are we going?" She asks smiling from ear to ear.
"Portugal first, then Spain, France, Germany, Austria and Czech Republic, because one of your dreams is to know Prague, right?"
"Oh my God! Oh my God! Right!"
"Did you like it?"
"Are you kidding me? When are we going?" She is already super excited and rapidly stands hugging him.
"Tomorrow night."
"No way?!" She looks with her blue eyes wide open to him. "And Kate?"
"Yes. I already arranged everything with my parents and she will come back to NYC with them."
"Good. All of this, why, Ross?"
"Because I think we need to take a vaccation. And obviously because I want to make you happy."
"It'll be like our second honeymoon?"
"Yeah. Maybe better...who knows?"
Her smile grows even more and she passionately kisses him.
"And maybe we..."
"We what? We what?"
"Breathe, Rach."
"Right."
"Maybe we can try and work on that idea of expand our family?"
"Hmm."
"What do you say?"
"Maybe..."
"Yes!"
"Maybe we don't have to wait to travel to start to practice. I didn't take the pill today, and starting today I'll stop it."
"I liked that."
"Really?"
"Oh yeah!"
"Then hold me and make love to me."
"I wouldn't deny this for nothing."
"I love you."
"I love you more."
"More than chocolate?"
"More than chocolate."
"To the moon and back?"
"To the moon and back. To infinity and beyond."
"Nice one. But don't you think you're watchin too much Toy Story?"
"Rach?"
"Huh?"
"Stop talking."
"Yes, sir."
"And kiss me."
"Yes, sir."
