Hey guys! Just thought I'd make clear that this is a change of the normal starting pace, and is sort of a flashback, in a way. You'll get it once it gets started.
It was a beautiful day in the Digital World. Because it was so nice out, two friends were trying out a game they had been taught by a few other friends. This game was from the Human World, and the humans called it 'Baseball'.
The older of the two, a boy that vaguely resembled a wolf, was tossing a large rock in his hand that they were using as the ball. The other boy, who held slightly draconic features, had a large stick in his hands ready to hit it.
"Okay, Lobomon, whenever you're ready!" the younger male shouted from his spot, waving the stick around a bit. Lobomon smirked and continued to toss it up and down.
"I want to nail you on the head, so I'm going to wait a while, Agunimon!" the short-haired blonde yelled back. Agunimon rolled his blue eyes and glared at the other child.
At least ten minutes had passed, and Lobomon still had not thrown the 'ball'. By now, neighboring Digimon were beginning to stare at him, and Agunimon was starting to feel quite awkward.
"Lobomon! Just throw the stupid rock!" Agunimon exclaimed at the wolf-child, who shook his head and continued to toss the stone up and down. By now the spikey-haired blonde was beginning to fume.
From behind Agunimon, a girl with violet-colored hair was staring at the two of them. Her wings fluttered nervously, and she seemed to be rather close to tears. Slowly, she walked up to the draconic boy and tapped on his shoulder with one of her gloved hands. When he turned around with the stick still raised, ready to hit the stone, she cringed and took a step back.
"Do I know you?" the draconic child asked as he lowered the stick to the ground. The girl shook her head and lowered her violet eyes to the ground.
"I-I'm K-Kazemon," the girl whimpered as she stared at her feet. "Have you seen my Onee-Chan?"
"What does she look like?" Agunimon inquired. As he said this, Lobomon was winding up to throw the rock at the boy.
"W-well, it depends. She could be a green cat that stands on two legs, or a big black lioness on four legs, or-"Kazemon was cut off when Lobomon suddenly broke out in a shout and pitched the rock at Agunimon.
"Heads up, Fang-Face!" he yelled mischievously. The younger blonde jumped at his voice and spun around, swinging the stick as he did so.
WHAM!
The rock flew about two feet and hit the ground. Confused, Agunimon turned around to see what he had hit earlier to make his blow barely do anything. He gulped as he realized what had happened.
Apparently he had nailed Kazemon in the mouth when he had spun around. The winged girl was now sitting on the ground, whimpering and sniffling as blood oozed out of the corner of her mouth.
"Nice job, Agunimon!" Lobomon exclaimed sarcastically as he ran over to the two of them. Agunimon turned around and glared at the wolfish boy.
"Hey, if you hadn't thrown that rock while I was talking to her, this would have never happened!"
"You could have just let it hit you on the back of the head!"
"Like heck I would let that happen!"
Kazemon smiled fondly at the memory from her spot beside Agunimon on top of a hill. The stars sparkled brightly above them.
"Remember that time you hit me in the face with that stick?"
"Not this again…" her draconic husband moaned as he put his arm around her. Kazemon giggled as she moved closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"I was so mad at you, because I had to wear braces for five years afterwards," Kazemon sighed as she leaned closer to Agunimon. He tried his best to ignore her as to avoid furthering the story, but found himself speaking anyways.
"How could I forget? You reminded me of it every time you smiled." The blonde mentally kicked himself for saying something, because now his wife would definitely finish.
"But I'm glad it happened. Who knows how long it would have taken for us to meet if it hadn't?"
"I don't know. Probably when all of our caregivers brought the ten of us together for the first time."
"Yeah, but that was eight years later. We were dating by then."
"I suppose."
The two sat in silence for a while longer. Eventually Agunimon blinked, feeling something cold land between his eyes. He sat up and looked around, noticing for the first time that it was snowing.
"Well, there goes a romantic evening away from the kids…"
"What are you talking about?" Kazemon asked as she sat up beside him. He shot her a confused glance, so she continued. "Agunimon, the kids are sleeping over at Serpmon and Prionmon's house."
"Wait, what?"
"Yeah, they are."
"No, not that. You actually trusted Ranamon to watch your children?"
"Don't remind me…"
Pure silence fell over the couple for about ten minutes afterwards as they sat just watching the snow fall slowly to the ground. Eventually, Kazemon began to shiver due to the cold and moved closer to Agunimon. He smirked at this.
"Is someone getting cold?" he asked playfully as he pushed himself away from her. Kazemon glared at him and grabbed his arm, pulling him back forcefully.
"Maybe." Agunimon grinned at this and leaned over, giving his wife a peck on the cheek. When he didn't get a reaction, the Warrior of Flame brought Kazemon into a kiss, wrapping his arms around her in an effort to help warm her up. After a few minutes, the couple broke apart and touched their foreheads together, smiling.
"You're pretty stubborn sometimes, you know that?" the blonde smirked as he suddenly picked up his unsuspecting wife, causing her to squeak, which was exactly what he was aiming for. Kazemon crossed her arms, realizing what had happened, and began to pout childishly.
"But the snow's so pretty, Aguni-Kun…" the Warrior of Wind whined, kicking her legs weakly. Agunimon snickered and kissed the top of her head, only to have his shoulder punched lightly.
"I really don't care. You're not freezing to death," Agunimon replied, beginning to walk back towards the house. Kazemon sighed in defeat, knowing full and well that her husband was at least ten times more bull-headed than her.
"You know what? I think I want compensation for missing out on this."
"Isn't not getting frostbite good enough?"
"No, no it's not."
"Fine!" the Warrior of Flame exclaimed as he allowed Kazemon to put her feet on the ground. She immediately opened the door to the house and, without hesitation, closed it behind her and locked it. Agunimon blinked in confusion. "Wait, what?"
"Have fun out there!" Kazemon smiled and waved at her spouse, who in turn began to knock on the door as she started to walk away.
"Hey! Don't leave me out here!"
"Why not? You did say I could compensate."
"This is not what I had in mind!"
"I know, but I decided to change it up a little bit. You can come in when Breezemon gets here."
Three hours later, as snow began to accumulate on the ground in large mounds, Breezemon, who was practically growling, began her journey home.
"Stupid Prionmon. That idiotic fur ball has some serious water between her ears," the blonde grumbled as she trudged through the snow. Her foot steps were now melting the ice and snow as she felt her hands get warmer. She really didn't care, though.
As soon as her house came into view, she stopped moving. There was someone sitting outside of the door. With a grin, the girl began to move towards him or her. Whoever it was, she was really hoping that she could beat them up.
"Hold on a second, what are you doing out here?" Breezemon asked as she stopped in front of the person, who just so happened to be her father. He smiled awkwardly and stood up.
"Your mother played a cruel trick on me," he replied, hanging his head just at the thought. His daughter immediately broke out in laughter, her anger completely forgotten.
Agunimon crossed his arms as he waited for her to finish, his eyes rolling as she began to whack the side of the building in her enjoyment. After a few minutes of hysterical laughing, Breezemon finally let out a sigh and dried her eyes.
"Well, it's nice to know you do have a sense of humor in there," the older Digimon stated dryly as the girl finally began to head inside. "Now let me in."
"Alright, alright," Breezemon snickered as she inserted one of her clawed fingers into the lock hole, twisting it around until it clicked. As soon as she opened up the door, a furry brown body began to rub against her leg, causing her to break out in giggles. "It's nice to see you too, Sol."
The furry little reptile trilled happily as he trotted over to Agunimon in an attempt to get pet. Sol barked a few times at the draconic Warrior, only to fall silent as he noticed the rather creepy grin he was giving off.
"Dad, are you feeling alright?" the younger blonde inquired as she picked up Sol, who began to sniff at Agunimon, thinking the same thing.
"I'm going to get back at your mom, that's all," Agunimon smirked causing Breezemon to flinch. Without thinking twice, she began to make a beeline towards her room.
"Err… Mom, I'm back!"
"I figured you would be," Kazemon remarked as she entered the room, failing to notice Agunimon, who was hiding behind a wall. As his wife moved passed him, clearly wondering where he had run off to, the Warrior of Flame jumped out and pinned her down onto the couch, grinning as she accidentally squeaked out of surprise.
"You're adorable, you know that?" the blonde chuckled as he sat up, allowing his wife to do the same. She glowered at him, slightly annoyed that he had actually made her squeak.
"You love to torture me, don't you?"
"Only if it makes you squeak like that."
"Do you have a fetish for my squeaking?" Kazemon clenched her teeth to avoid making that sound again as her husband suddenly yanked her against him. He kissed her forehead and smiled to himself.
"Maybe. Or maybe I just want compensation for being locked outside of my own house for three hours."
"You know there's a spare key under-"The fairy was silenced as Agunimon placed one of his fingers against her lips. She rolled her eyes and began to stand up, only to be pulled back into the blonde's lap.
"I don't care. But you know what I do care about?"
"You want me to squeak, don't you?"
"Pretty much."
"Forget it. It's a stupid noise."
"You used to squeak all the time when we were younger!"
"I also used to wear braces when we were younger. For Pete's sake, Agunimon, you used to be pathetically scrawny!"
"You used to be a dog. We can do this all night."
Kazemon huffed as she looked to the side, frustrated. Agunimon smirked and picked up his wife once again, only this time she didn't squeak. However, that wasn't what he was planning just yet.
"I won't squeak."
"Well, then you leave me no choice," Agunimon sighed as he began to walk out of their living room. Kazemon grinned, thinking that she had finally won. Her smiled faded as he brought his head close to her ear and whispered, "I'll just have to make you squeak."
Despite the fact that she had dealt with his antics for decades, Kazemon still felt her face grow hot at his statement. However, she was still as stubborn as ever. So, with a humph, she give her hasty reply.
"I'd like to see you try."
I'm beginning to sense a theme in the endings in these One-Shots. The first thing is that they all end in a bit of dialogue. The second is that, well, the last two have ended with Agunimon and Kazemon having their own little moment.
Don't worry, though, these next ones will probably focus more on Breezemon, Flamon, and Sol. Sol is actually quite important to the overall outcomes of a few of the upcoming One-Shots.
So I guess you guys should drop me a review, let me know how I'm doing, and tell your friends about these!
