The way that the turtle with the swords spoke to her was not very reassuring, and it didn't help that the way he was looking at her was nothing short of intimidating. Jazzy shrunk into herself and looked up at Cristen. Her friend wasn't looking at her though. She was looking at the turtle with the blue mask a scowl on her face. Jazzy turned back to the turtle boy and saw him narrow his eyes in Cristen's direction. After a few seconds he sighed and looked back at Jazzy.

"I promise that you're safe here. You'll get the answers you want and then we'll safely return you to your home."

This time his voice was much softer and although she was still nervous, she slowly made her way over to where he was. When she was standing in front of him he stood aside and gestured for her to go inside to room. Jazzy looked over to Cristen one last time who gave her a reassuring smile before heading inside. The paper door behind her slid shut suddenly and Jazzy jumped. She looked around the room and realized that it was some sort of dojo. There were colorful mats on the floor and weapons on the walls. For some reason though, there was a giant tree in the center.

"How...?"

Jazzy limped over to the tree and pressed her hand against it. Well it was definitely real. She started to drag her hand across the swirling bark when someone cleared their throat behind her.

"Sorry!" She squeaked turning around rapidly. Unfortunately the leg she stepped on was the one with stitches. She barely had time to register what had happened before a hand steadied her.

"It is alright my dear. You were doing nothing wrong."

Jazzy looked up at the face of the one who saved her and gasped. She had a feeling the person she would be talking to wouldn't be human, but she thought it would be another turtle, not a giant rat.

"Um...he-hello." She said softly. The rat man, who for some reason had a Japanese accent, seemed to smile at her before kneeling.

"Why don't you sit while we talk. You have had quite the evening."

"You have no idea." She muttered. The rat raised his brow and Jazzy blushed.

"I-I mean...yeah I have." She slowly sat down in front of him. She reached up to tug on her hair, but it was still in her bun. She settled on placing her hands in her lap and waited for the rat to speak.

Outside of the dojo, Mikey was going on and on about Jazzy.

"You should've seen her Leo. She was as red as Raph's mask."

"You shouldn't have embarrassed her Mikey." Leo scolded.

"I didn't do it on purpose. I was just telling the truth. Jazlyn is a pretty name, don't you think?"

"Yeah I gue-..." Leo looked at Mikey who was wiggling his eye ridges and rolled his eyes. Raph threw his head back and groaned.

"He barely knows the girl Mikey." He closed his mouth and then looked up thoughtfully. "Actually, that's never stopped him before." He mused.

"Hey!" Leo protested.

"Don't listen to him Leo." Mikey said putting his arm around the irritated turtles shoulder. "He just wants to be the only one of us with a hot girlfriend."

Raph's eyes widened as Cristen giggled behind her hand.

"Don't look at her like that!" He said while trying to shield her body.

"Raph get off!" She snapped.

Leo pushed Mikey away.

"You guys are acting ridiculous. Right Donnie?" He needed reassurance that he wasn't to only reasonable person in the family.

"I don't know Leo. It does seem like fate."

"Not you too."

"C'mon dude, open your eyes. I mean isn't it weird that she just "happened" to be walking by that alley way that night, and by some "weird" coincidence she was locked in the bathroom with Cristen."

"Well if that's your logic, then maybe she's your soulmate. Or Mikey's."

Donnie reached behind his neck and shrugged awkwardly.

"I'm more of a...redhead kind of guy."

"More like an April kind of guy." Cristen muttered under her breath. He glared at her and she pretended not to notice.

"What about you Mikey." Leo said. "If you think she's so great, why don't you sweep her off her feet."

"She's not my type." He said plainly.

Leo was about to say something else when Master Splinter walked out of the dojo with Jazlyn behind him.

"Leonardo."

"Hai Sensai?"

"Could you walk miss Jazlyn to her home. It is getting late.

"Hai Sensai."

Jazlyn stood facing them her hands clasped in front of her.

"I uh...I live a block from where I saw you guys the first time."

Her voice was soft and nervous, and she hadn't made eye contact with him when she spoke.

"I remember." He said. "We should probably get going. I bet your parents are worried."

"Probably not." She said. There was silence and she realized how that had sounded.

"No! I mean I stay late at the studio a lot so...yeah."

"Oh. Ok." Leo said noticing how her face had reddened just like Mikey said. "Let's go then."

"Do you want me to come Jazz?" Cristen asked standing up. Before Jazzy could answer, Master Splinter objected.

"No. You have already been the victim of one kidnapping tonight. There is no need to test that number."

Cristen pouted, but sat back down.

"Hai Sensai. Sorry Jazz."

"It's ok." The blond said. "I'll be fine. It was nice meeting you all."

A chorus of farewells and you toos rang out as she and Leo walked towards the exit.

"Wait!" Mikey cried out running towards the kitchen. Moments later he ran out with a bag in his hands. "Here you go."

"Oh...um...thank you." She said smiling softly. Leo tapped her on the shoulder and Jazzy waved goodbye to Mikey as they walked out of the lair.

"You might want to get rid of that bag." Leo said once they were out of ear shot.

"Why?" She peeked inside and gasped. "Oh." She said closing it back and holding it as far away as her arms would allow.

"Yeah." Leo said with a chuckle. "Don't worry. He wasn't trying to poison you on purpose."

He took the bag and threw it down a hole that lead deeper into the sewers.

"Thanks for the heads up...um."

"Leonardo or Leo I guess."

"Thanks, Leo."
