Tossing the burning solid script, Levy tackled the ground; her soft blue hair a ragged mop on her head as she gasped out of exhaustion.
This was ridiculous, how on earth were they supposed to keep this up? With Gajeel's weapon like armour and attacks, their self appointed army grounds threatened to cave in.
Being small gave her the ability to squish herself up against the rocks, listen as Gajeel punched another rock down.
"AGH! I'm gonna smash their faces in when I see them again!" He barked.
"Be careful! I can feel the walls shake!"
"That's the idea shrimp, how else are we supposed to get out if here…"
Her eyes wandered to the newly lit fire from her magic, finally glad to be resting. But she knew if they stayed her any longer they would eventually run out of magic.
"What if we try to move the rocks, rather than hit them?"
"That… Could work." He mumbled, standing up right in the cave; his thick arms crossing one over the other as he wore a frown upon his face for not thinking of such a suggestion himself.
He moved towards her, flexing his palm out towards Levy and easily yanking her onto her feet.
"Alright shrimp. Pull your wait. You can help too."
"Got it." She nodded, altering her tangerine dress, not so happy about the fact that it was tattered and torn.
Either way, she moved ahead of the iron mage, her fingers curling around a rock or two, thinking of ways she could unclog them from the rocks that were keeping them trapped.
First she glanced it up and down, calculating it's structure by looking at it. Most of the rooks were jagged but there was no doubt that if you pulled at certain ones, it would topple down like jenga blocks during an earthquake.
They had to be careful with what they took out and where if they didn't want to end up underneath them. It was possible that Gajeel's ability to turn to iron could save him from being crushed, but if it fell on Levy, she was a goner.
"Okay. I think I got this. Try to take ones that have room to topple down."
"So things from higher up?"
"I suppose that would work too.."
"Doesn't that make you a little useless?" He asked, his tone playful all of a sudden as he moved over to gently relax his arm down on her petite head.
"Just get moving." Levy pouted, poking at rocks before settling on one to pull out.
With that, it didn't take him long to move rocks aside as they settled for team work; Gajeel yanking them from up about and Levy taking them to turn it into extra padding below. Though of course it was taking a lot longer than they were hoping and it became tiresome to continue.
With that, Gajeel dumped himself beside her solid script fire that was slowly beginning to die down.
She let her eyes rake over the rocks; them peeking up at the tiny gap that let moonlight flood into the cave, if only there was a way to knock the whole thing down quicker…
A lightbulb hit her quicker than lighting as she noticed to clumps of rocks. If she pulled it the right way, the rocks would topple down in a riverlike motion; imply making the hole big enough for them. Though if it fell the wrong was, she would most likely be crushed instantly. But at least they wouldn't both have to stick around in here much longer letting the creatures get away and into town.
That could be a big danger to both of them, and a bad name on the council at this rate.
She glanced back at the dragon slayer, a determined look on her face as she nodded. This had to be done.
With a deep breath, she readied herself to climb the nearest rock; her fingers stretched out to reach for the rock with many possibilities. She honestly was begging that it would work; her tips touching it in the lightest way that she could manage; slowly pulling down the rock.
And with one fast topple of the rock; piece after piece began o trickle down and Levy was only small. It didn't take long for her to lose her balance and soon enough a loud noise exploded; the the rocks falling at once and onto her.
She heard Gajeel shout something, but it was hard trying to hear him as rocks pilled upon her, pushing down on her body and weighing her down.
It went so quick she felt as though she were in a dream, the drumming on her body something that took so long to end. It hurt and yet it didn't, for now she knew Gajeel could escape. they couldn't wait around any longer.
It wasn't long until silence finally relieved her, and then all she could see was darkness, until a fresh new yelling came from out the rocks; the dragon slayer furious.
"I won't let you die, not here! Not like this!"
