Chapter 4 Expecting the Unexpected Sucks
Author's Note: Happy Once Day everybody! Hey guys! I'm back! I know it's been a while and I'm sorry for the late posting but I've been going through a few changes in my life.
Before we start I just wanted to share my thoughts of the first half of season five of OUAT so far. For those of you who haven't seen season five yet or are really far behind don't read this part. Okay?
Let's start with... HOLY FREAKING CRAP! I mean, Emma becoming the Dark One. Rumple a hero. King Arthur a lying bastard. Merlin the hottest Merlin ever. Merida, Mulan and Ruby team up. Zelena giving birth to a baby girl and being sent back to Oz (I loved that part!), Hook dying and turned to a Dark One. Rumple the Dark One again. WTF?!
After everything that's happen I'm surprised my head hasn't exploded yet.
I'm so excited for the 100th episode. I mean, old characters coming back. Cora. Pan. Neal. Sir Henry. James. Cruella. Even the Blind Witch from season 1. And new characters like Hercules, Meg and Hades.
In honor of the 100th episode tonight I've updated at least one of my Once fanfics for the occasion. I was planning to update a lot more and also post up some new stories but they are not ready just yet. I'm probably try posting later on this week.
Also, I just want to say I'm very happy that the show has been renewed for a sixth season. Yay!
I've been looking forward to this chapter for a long time because this is the one where Hook finds out that he's a father. I always wondered what would happen if Hook got a woman pregnant in the Enchanted Forest. I mean, it's not like they have condoms and birth control there. LOL!
Thank you to Vanessaelyse, dhickmon, AndyLoganFlackHook, Ju du Nord, ladyjade9507, Legendary Blackr0se, Out on the Seven Seas, Kagome Echizen Fan, WhiteTigerMisty, JanusGodOfPossibilities, yaoilover1992-2010, yaoilover1992-2010, yoseko, ReadingHook, Pirate Hook, Whovian1234 for following/favorite me and my story. Happy reading!
Somewhere in the busy streets of New York, a lone hooded figure was crossing the street as if they were on a mission. Luckily everyone was too busy getting to their destination to pay attention to what they were doing. Finally the stranger in question stopped in front of a building with a sign that said Joyce Summers School for Gifted Girls over the door way.
"Found you," they whispered.
Meanwhile...
Neal sat next to his father's bedside in the infirmary, who was sound asleep. It's funny. A couple of hours ago he just wanted to be rid of the man for abandoning him when was a boy all those years ago but now...
Now seeing him like this... he just... he just wanted to take it back. Dark One or not he was still his father.
"Hey," a voice called out.
Neal looked up and saw Faith's friend, Willow, coming into the room with a bottle of water.
"Here you go. You looked thirsty. I would have asked but I didn't want to disturb you and..." Willow said pointing to Rumple.
"I get it. Thanks," he nodded.
Willow watched as Neal took a sip of water. He looked tired. And considering what Faith told her earlier he couldn't blame the guy. She turned her attention Rumple on the cot.
"So... your dad is Rumplestiltskin. What's that like," Willow asked trying to make conversation.
"It's complicated," he answered.
I'll bet, she thought.
She couldn't help but stare at the sleeping man. Whoa! She can practically feel the magic coming off him like waves. He was powerful, really powerful. But then again so was she.
"So what's the deal with Faith and Hook? How does she know him," Neal asked curious.
"It's a long story," Willow confessed.
Even though Neal was curious he knew it wasn't his place to ask. If Faith wanted to tell him she'll tell when she's good and ready. Suddenly Willow grew stiff as if she was sensing the present of some unknown predator.
"What is it," he asked.
"Intruder," Willow said, quickly leaving the infirmary.
Neal follows after her.
"How do you know," he asked her.
"Protection wards. I made them to keep unwanted people out, but whoever it is found a way in. Go get Faith and Emma at the gym, it's down the hall and to the left and meet us at the library. I'm gonna grab the kids."
Neal did as he was told and ran as fast as he could to the gym.
Willow arrived at the library to find Veronica sitting at one of the tables with Colin and Henry. From the looks of it she was showing the boys one of the demons books.
"Veronica!" she called out.
Veronica looked up to what she was doing and saw the witch looking all flustered.
"Willow, what's wrong," she asked the witch.
"We have an intruder! Can you sense it?"
"No! I don't sense a..." Veronica trailed off as her body grew stiff just like Willow did not to long ago. "Oh my god! You're right!"
Willow noticed the look of panic on the young woman's face.
"Veronica, it's all right. Just breathe. Remember what I taught you, okay?" Willow told her.
"Okay," Veronica nodded.
"I thought Veronica was a slayer," Henry said to Colin.
"No, she's a witch and Aunt Willow's apprentice. But her sister is a slayer and goes to school here," Colin explained.
"Willow!"
They turned to see Faith, Emma and Neal entering the library.
"Faith, there's..."
"I know. Neal told us. I got the girls searching the school right now. Are you guys okay? Wait! Where's Iris," Faith asked worried.
That's when Willow notice for the first time that Iris was missing.
"Colin, where's your sister," Willow asked.
"She went to the restroom but she's hasn't come back yet."
That's when Faith had a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. They were in the library which happened to be near the...
"She's not at the restroom," Faith said.
It took Willow a moment to realize what she was talking about. She could practically see look of panic in her eye.
"Faith," she warned the slayer.
But she wasn't listening. Soon she was running out the library.
"Faith!" Emma cried out to her friend.
"What's wrong with mom," Colin asked Willow.
Before she could answer Emma decided to take charge.
"You're gonna have to ask your mom, kiddo. But right now we should get down to the basement before Faith turns Hook into a practice dummy."
Willow quickly turned to Veronica and told her to do a magical sweep of the school before she lead the other to the basement where she prayed to the goddess that Faith wouldn't do anything stupid.

Hook was thinking of the best way to get out of this cell when he heard a voice say, "Hi there!"
He turned around and to his surprise, a little girl no more than nine or ten-years-old wearing a purple flower barrette in hair, standing outside his cell.
"Well, hello poppet. What brings you down here," he smiled.
"I just wanted to meet you. I've never met a pirate before," she explained.
"Well, I'm honored to be the first. You're not afraid of me," Hook asked curious.
"Nope! I've seen a lot scarier things than you. Besides if you try anything funny I can always kick your butt. I've been practicing," she said proudly.
She pretended to throw a few punches and kicks but when she tried to do a cartwheel she fell on her butt.
"Ow!"
"You all right, poppet?" he chuckled.
"Five by five," she said getting back up.
Hook blinked at her words. Wait, what did she say?
"What do you say," Hook asked surprised.
"I said five by five. It means I'm okay," she answered.
"Where did you hear that?"
"My mom. She says it all the time," she said proudly.
This girl was making him nervous. There was only one woman he knew that ever used the phrase 'five by five'.
"Your mother? Whose your mother," he asked.
"Faith," she replied.
As soon as he heard Faith's name coming out of the girl's mouth he felt his whole body freeze up.
"Faith Lehane, the Slayer. She's your mother," Hook asked surprised.
Now it was her turn to look surprised.
"How do you know my mom's a slayer?"
"I've actually met your mother once. A long time ago," he said.
"Really? Mom never mentioned you," she pointed out.
Hook shouldn't have been surprise by that answer it still hurt. Wait! If Faith was her mother, than could he be...
"How old are you?"
"I'm nine."
Hook felt his knees begin to buckle as he grabbed on to the bars with his one good hand.
"Are you okay," she cried out.
She ran to the cell to see if he was all right.
"Y-yes. I'm fine, poppet," he assured her.
He watched as the little girl stared at him with curious eyes. Bright blue eyes. Just like his. There was no thought in his mind that this was his child. She looked just like him. He couldn't believe it! He had to know everything about her, starting with...
"Forgive me, my lady. Where are my manners? We haven't been properly introduced. The name is Jones. Killian Jones. But of course you know me by my more colorful, Hook."
She hesitated at first but slowly gave into his charm and introduced herself.
"My name is Iris," she said with a smile.
"Iris. That is a beautiful name. No doubt after the flower, eh?"
"No, although I do think they're pretty. Mom named me after the song because it was her and my dad's favorite," Iris explained.
"The Goo Goo Dolls," he replied.
"You know about the Goo Goo Dolls?"
"Your mother mentioned them when she was in Neverland. I've always wanted to hear their music with my own ears," he smiled.
"Mom was in Neverland? That's so cool! I can't wait to tell Colin," she exclaimed excitedly.
"Who's Colin? Your boyfriend," Hook teased.
Iris made a face when he thought she had a boyfriend.
"Ew! No! Colin is my brother."
When she mentioned brother it was as if Hook was punched through another brick wall.
"Y-you have a brother," he asked shocked.
"Yeah, my twin. I was born first though," Iris declared proudly.
This was just too much!
It was one thing seeing the bonny lass that stole his heart in Neverland again, but it was something else entirely to discover he was the father of twins he didn't know existed.
He must have been staring at her for too long but Iris was giving him a funny look.
"Why are looking at me like that," Iris asked confused.
"No... I was just... I mean, you're just so loveliest thing I've ever seen," Hook confessed.
Iris couldn't help but give a shy smile.
"Iris!"
They turned to see Faith coming down the stairs along with a group trailing behind him. There was Swan and Baelfire. The red head witch. And bringing up the rear was the lad Henry and a boy around Iris' age. That must be Colin.
"Iris! Get away from him!"
"Ah, Faith! What a pleasant surprise. We were just talking about you," Hook declared.
Faith turned his attention to the pirate. She felt her blood boiling.
"Shut your mouth, Hook!"
Even when she was shouting at him, Faith still had that same fire that first drew him in like a moth to a flame.
"There's no need to hostile, love. We were just having a friendly chat. Perhaps, we can have one ourselves later" he suggested.
Colin didn't like the way the pirate was looking at his mom, like she was a piece of meat. He decided to step in and play hero.
"Don't talk to my mom like that, jerk! Leave her alone! And leave my sister alone too!" Colin announced.
Hook finally got a good look at his son. Bloody hell! Although Iris looked like a female version of him, Colin clearly got his looks from his mother.
"You must be, Colin."
"How do you know my name," Colin asked suspicious.
"Iris told me. You're a fine looking lad. And I think it's wonderful that you're quick to defend your family like that. It shows that you have honor. Your mother raised you right," Hook praised him.
Colin wasn't expecting Captain Hook to compliment him. He wasn't sure if he should be flattered or annoyed.
Faith decided to put a stop to all this.
"All right, that's enough. Iris, upstairs now. There's a situation" she said to her daughter.
"But mom..."
"Now!"
Iris didn't want to disobey her mother but she didn't want to leave either. Captain Hook wasn't so bad. She liked talking to him. She gave Hook an apologetic look and left with her family.
"Faith! Faith!" Hook called out to the slayer.
Unfortunately she ignored him completely. Iris gave him a small wave while Colin just frowned at him. The red head was giving him a deadly look and for a second he thought he saw her eyes go black. When he was certain that they were completely gone he reached into his pocket. It was Iris' purple flower barrette. He took it when her back was turned when Faith came down the stairs. He started getting to work picking the lock with the barrette.
He knew if Faith had it her way he wouldn't see the light of day again and he'll never get the chance to know his children.
No! That wasn't going to happen.

Today was turning out to be the crappiest day ever!
She thought today would be an ordinary day, well as ordinary as it can be when you're a slayer.
Faith was happy running into her old pals from Boston. But then Killian 'Freaking Hook' Jones, the father of her children shows up. Attacking Neal's old man, who turns out to be Rumplestiltskin and now being held in a cell in the basement of the slayer school.
Now there was an intruder in the school and she had to punish her daughter for breaking her promise.
"You are in serious trouble, young lady!" Faith told Iris.
"Oh come on, mom!" she protested.
"I told you to not to talk to him and you went behind my back and did it anyway," she pointed out.
"I'm sorry, but I just wanted to see what the big deal was. I mean, for a pirate he doesn't seem all that scary."
"You were lucky he was behind bars. That man always finds a way to get to you somehow," Faith declared.
"How come you never told us that you knew Captain Hook," Iris asked out of the blue.
"W-what," Faith declared.
"Mom knows Captain Hook," Colin asked his sister.
"Yeah, and she's been to Neverland too!" Iris added.
This was getting uncomfortable. She can see the looks on her kids faces. They wanted answers.
"Look, it was a long time ago. I wasn't even there long anyway. It was hardly worth mentioning," she quickly lied.
"But you were in Neverland! How cool is that," Colin announced.
"Yeah! Did you get to meet Peter Pan too?" Iris asked excitedly.
Neal still didn't know what the hell was going on between Faith and Hook but he could tell his old friend was about to have a breakdown of some kind so he decided to lend a hand.
"Actually it's not as cool as you think it is. I was trapped there when I was a kid and it was no picnic. Living in a cave and hunting for food every night. But the worst part of it all is Pan. Peter Pan isn't the sweet kid the stories make him out to be. He's a monster. Luckily I found a way out of that place and I never looked back. So if your mom didn't tell you guys, it's probably for a good reason, okay?"
The twins both took in what Neal told them. They were dying to know more about their mother's adventures in Neverland but could tell this was a sore subject. They decided to ask her again later.
"Okay," they said simultaneously.
Faith wanted to throw her arms around Neal and kiss him for saving her ass. Henry looked at his father with pride and Emma looked at her ex with hint of respect for handling the problem so well.
"Guys!" a voice called out to them.
They all turned to see Veronica running toward them.
"Veronica, what is it? Did you find the intruder," Willow asked her apprentice.
"Yeah, we caught 'em but..."
"But what," Willow asked.
"The intruder wants to talk to Faith," Veronica said.
Everyone turned toward the confused slayer.
"Me?" Faith asked.
"Yeah, she says she's an old friend of yours."
Old friend?
Veronica takes the group to one of the empty classrooms. The intruder was staring out the window with their backs to them. Veronica cleared her throat to get their attention. As she turned around they revealed a blonde woman with her hair tied up wearing green clothes was pretty dirty. She also carried a cloak with a hood in her arms.
Once again, Faith was shocked by another familiar face from her past.
"Hey Faith. It's good to see you again," she smiled at the smiled.
"Tink?" Faith asked shocked.
"Wait! Tink? As in Tinkerbell," Emma asked surprised.
"The Tinkerbelle from Neverland," Henry asked excitedly.
"Yup! That's me," Tink said proudly.
Henry and the twins looked like they hit the jackpot, while Faith looked like she was in hell.
What is this, Screw with Faith Day?
Author's Note: Well, did you enjoy the new chapter? I've put in a lot of work in this one. I wanted to edit a few things before I posted it for the new episode tonight. So excited! So you think Faith will come clean to the twins? Why Faith and Hook talk about their kids? What is Tinkerbell doing in New York? You'll just have to wait for the next chapter.
