Adrian wasn't great with introductions clearly. Yelling curse-words at space aliens is a sure fire way to get noticed and boy did he. The diamonds looked at him in confusion, Connie and Pearl stared in shock with Pearl covering Steven's ears, Garnet looked puzzled and Amethyst was laughing at him. Adrian, unlike Amethyst, was not finding the situation funny.
Could the diamonds read minds, if so what will they do to him if they find out he killed Pink Diamond. Torture, execution, slavery, the possibilities raced through his mind of what would be done to him. Meanwhile with the crystal gems they were trying to figure out what was the deal with the human. A lapis created a band of water around Adrian's mouth in hope to mute his yelling, grateful for the silence she turned towards the others.
"Hey do any of you know this guy?" she asked.
Pearl shook their head, amethyst shrugged, and Garnet just gave an "mmph" as an answer. The diamonds just glared at the human and began to continue their talk with the crystal gems. Adrian grabbed Connie and ran away from the temple to the surprise of everyone there.
"What are you doing!" she asked
Adrian with his other hand removed the water.
"Saving our lives! Do you have any idea what the diamonds do to organics?"
"We worked it out, we're cool with them!"
"What do you mean cool, there genocidal maniacs!"
While Adrian and Connie yelled at each other he didn't notice Garnet jumping in front of him and getting sucker punched. This knocked him flat on his back even with the suit that hurt. Garnet checked to make sure Connie was ok before moving to restrain him. Surprisingly Connie moved in front of her way to Garnets chagrin.
"Wait he's not a threat! I think he's just scared and confused."
Garnet looked at Adrian for some more time before giving a resigning sigh. She unsummend her gauntlets and crossed her arms instead.
"Fine, are you alright Connie?"
"Yeah, I'm fine"
"Good, hey Lapis come over her and restrain him please."
Adrian was bound to a rock by water tendrils, and temporally forgetting his predicament he looks up to see the diamonds again. He inhales ready to scream again before Pearl slaps him which shut him up finally.
"Listen, before we continue this conversation we should deal with the organic." Said yellow diamond.
Pearl kneeled in front of Adrian hoping he wouldn't freak out. Adrian, however, was recognizing at the sight of her.
"Hey aren't you Rose's Pearl?"
Pearl paused
"How did you know that?"
"I knew Rose Quarts back in the war"
Pearl was even more confused
"First off, that's impossible the gem war was 6,000 years ago, secondly who are you?"
Talk about a time difference he thought to himself and apparently no humans were ever involved in the war. Adrian didn't tell Pearl the whole story since the Diamonds were looking right at him but did fill them in about the portal incident.
"Well as fantastic as that story is we can't believe you."
"Wait, I have proof, under the shoulder of my left arm is a signature from a bismuth gem and it's probably the same one over there to."
Bismuth wondered over to see if he was telling the truth and he amazingly was. Right under his shoulder was a small inscription she wrote on every piece of material she created for someone to mark it as her work.
"Well girls he's not lying."
"Whoa!"
Another child jumped in front of Adrian, this one was a boy he didn't recognize. Short, curly, black hair along with a pink shirt with a star on it.
"So you're from another dimension? That's awesome can you tell me all about it like do you have cookie cat there, does your world have crystal gems too, am I there and still awesome."
"Yes, yes, no" Adrian replied
"Hey not this is fun and all but can I stand up this rock isn't comfy uhh…"
"Steven, my name is Steven"
"Steven right, could you let me stand up"
He nodded to Lapis to let him free much to Adrian's relief. He stood up and stretched his arms in the air grateful he didn't have to sit on the rock any longer.
"So any of you mind explaining to me what's going on with the diamonds?"
Steven told him about how things were worked out with the diamonds and they weren't hostile against the earth.
"Huh, neat." Was Adrian's reply.
"So why are you wearing that armor anyway?" asked Steven
Adrian had to choose his words carefully in front of the diamonds.
"Uhhhh, in my world humanity fought alongside Rose Quartz and since I was a good enough solider the higher-ups gave me it as a test-run"
"Wow, that's awesome!"
Yellow interjected the conversation.
"Bringing us back on topic we still need a way to figure out who's been attacking our ships. We were hoping that you crystal gems would know anything about this?" asked yellow
"Sorry, we've been busy on Earth finding any remaining gems." Replied Garnet
Peridot cut into the conversation as well
"Besides, who would be dumb enough to attack you head on!" Peridot laughed out.
"This man would" Said blue diamond
Blue turned towards her pearl who projected a holographic display from her, well.., pearl.
Everyone looked towards the video of what looked like Emeralds ship with her at the command. Everything was going smoothly in the video before alarms started blaring. The ship was under attack by an unknown force. Later in the video a figure appeared who attacked Emerald and her pearl shattering them both. Before he leaves the scene he looks towards the camera and the footage cuts out. Blue Pearl freezes on the frame with him looking at the camera.
"Well do any of you recall seeing him before?" asked Yellow Diamond.
All the gems shook their heads or shrugged, clearly having no idea who the mystery man was.
"Hey Steven." Adrian whispered
"Yeah"
"I know the hand ships are Yellow and blue Diamond's but whose the third ship belong to?"
"What third ship?"
Steven looked up and gasped. This caught the attention of the other gems that had looked up with varying degrees of emotion.
The ship in question was a big grey orb hovering over beach city.
