Chapter 4 – A New Home

Izuka was carried out of the building bridal style, the press took loads of pictures and by the next minute it was live on the news – Number one hero All Might carries child out of villain base! Were the headlines for the next months.

All Izuka could hear was clapping, a crowd and a helicopter recording the scene, she wanted to go home to the cooking of Inko, the warm baths and emotion filled hugs.

She just wanted home. She wanted Inko.

Hospital

Inko Midoriya looked to the ceiling, every day she had looked for Izuka and eventually got herself put in critical condition nearly working herself to death.

She knew these would be her last moments, "I hope your safe, Izuka." Weakly said before a subtle flatline could be heard in the silence of the hospital.

Sometime later

Izuka woke in a fully white room in white clothes, she didn't like it at all she felt trapped again a hostage again, she jumped and immediately started scanning the room for possible weapons or exits that she could use.

As she looked towards the door a man walked through with two people trailing behind and she immediately jumped up accidentally crushing the bed and making a crater in the floor and digging her feet in the ceiling essentially standing on the ceiling,

"Who are you!" Izuka said quietly as her throat was hurting like hell, not moving from the ceiling she looked at the three men with an expression that could describe a scared animal.

The men backed away but then she saw their faces, people. People with needles. Bad people. Before anyone could do anything, she pointed towards them and ice came out of her finger making the ice block off the door,

She immediately backed off into a corner and started crying.

All Might's POV

"Well what has happened?" All Might was on the phone with the doctors, it was mandatory for heroes to check on the people they save. All Might though, he liked seeing their happy faces and when people visited, they got gifts and hugs.

This however he was not expecting, the entire room barren white except for a small girl pale faced girl crying into her knees and a crater in the middle and cracks in the ceiling, there were doctors lying unconscious and some with burns and some with scars.

"What has happened here?!" All Might said to the cowering doctors behind the door,

"We don't know! We just came in with some needles for nutrition and she disintegrated everything in the room, anyone brave enough to go near have been knocked down in seconds!" The doctor had never been so scared of a patient.

All Might slowly stepped inside the room although knowing the dangers, he inched closer and Izuka raised her head slowly. With her eyes puffy from crying, she slowly raised her head to All Might and with a look, her eyes filled with radiant light,

"A-A-All Might?" Izuka mumbled before falling in to the blackness of exhaustion.

He just stared at the sleeping child and let out a small chuckle, he hadn't seen such a look in a child's eyes before – the look of unconditional hope mixed with a sense of relief and succumbing to pent up exhaustion.

He grabbed onto her shoulder and let her lay for a while whilst ushering some doctors in to get some medication ready.

They injected some medication and conducted a check on her health, extreme malnourishment, lack of water, bruises, a dislocated arm and bleeding from several cuts.

What had this child gone through?

He didn't get the chance to answer as the girl woke up in a cold sweat clutching harder to All Might before she realized what was happening, she jumped up accidentally banging her head onto the ceiling.

Every doctor in the room stepped back remembering the others from earlier, All Might just caught her and laid her down on the bed so she could calm down,

"It's okay now young one. You're safe now" All Might spoke softly and brushed her hair out of her face, he saw tears coming from her eyes slowly.

She was finally done with all this emotional torture, this pain. The crippling depression that had crawled into her brain throughout the years. It's done.

Izuka POV

She cried.

All this pent-up emotion just came out all at once and hit her like a truck, with the villains if she ever actually cried, she'd be starved to death or impaled because they found it annoying. It had been the worst thing ever starving to death for the first time, she wished she could just kill herself sometimes.

They had always eaten in front of her just to annoy her whilst she was stuck in a sealed room with one window, the window to the bar not outside. She hadn't seen sunlight in years.

Izuka pounced up like a cat and ran to the window, staring outside with a glimmer in her eyes and her mouth wide open. Izuka reached her hand out, but it banged on the window shattering it.

She immediately fell back and backed away, even All Might was surprised as it wasn't just some weak glass. She scrambled away at the sight and surprised everyone when she whimpered,

"Please Don't Kill Me"

Izuka looked to the floor shaking and terrified of her imminent death, the pain lessened over the years but that void of the life draining out of you and closing your eyes to be dead as pain washes your body over like a tsunami.

"It's... It's okay we aren't going to hurt you anymore" All Might said softly and felt a small thud against his chest, she fell asleep. Again.

This time not out of exhaustion, this time out of happiness and an overwhelming feeling of just being safe. The best feeling she'd had in her life.

"We have to get her mother or father; do we have any records of a missing child?" All Might turned to the doctors and they all had a grim look on their faces,

"We saw her file... She has – had a mother but, she overexerted herself and... died this morning in the hospital..." One of the doctors said slowly, All Might looked down on the girl from his crouched position.

"And what of her father?" He said, the doctors looked to one another and started,

"H-He left her when he was diagn- wrongly diagnosed as quirkless, he wanted a powerful child. Unfortunately, he has also passed because of a failed drug transaction and he was robbed of all his money" They said sadly with a tint of sadness and sympathy.

Abrupt out of nowhere All Might simply said,

"I'll take her in"

Thanks, I have a good reason and not just for plot purposes as All Might will have some extra backstory with an OC, won't affect the story too much but still is important. I love this story so far and I hope you do too. BYE BYE.
