Hana watched the door shut behind her. She held her big brother's hand for comfort. He smiled at her to try and calm her nerves. He had some strange way of knowing how she felt. She guessed it was the perk of being a big brother.
She looked around the room, because Ketsu was blocking her vision of the front. The slowly reached another door, guarded by two ninjas. They quickly searched them up and down, landing on her. They both glanced at each other, raising their eyebrows.
"May we go in? I believe your leader has something to discuss with us," her brother asked politely. The two stiffly nodded and opened the door. It opened up to revel a large room with several people sitting around. Hana counted at least six guards watching them. It made her feel uncomfortable.
Ketsu noticed her discomfort and squeezed her hand. "My Lady, they have arrived," a woman with short, dark hair and dark eyes said. She stood near a woman with blond hair and hazel eyes. She was sitting at the center of the room and had an air of power that Hana felt.
Ketsu took a step forward and bowed. Hana stood there looking around. Who was he bowing to? She didn't wonder long before Ketsu reached over and nudged her, "Hana, bow before the Hokage."
Oh, so the blonde woman was the Hokage! No wonder.
"This is Lady Tsunade, the fifth and current Hokage of the Village Hidden in the Leaves," the dark haired woman said after they bowed. Hana broke her bow and stayed behind her big brother.
"Ah, it is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Tsunade. My name is Ketsutsuki. This..." he gestured over at Hana, "is my sister Hana. I believe you wished to speak to us?"
Meanwhile
"Hey what's up? Why'd you keep us from going inside, Sasuke?" Naruto asked irritably for the fourth time.
"Maybe if you would shut up for once, I could explain," the black haired boy coolly replied back. Naruto simply gave a huff and crossed his arms. Sakura scolded him for acting like a child before they both managed to be quiet.
Seeing his chance, Sasuke began, "Those two... just feel off. They're chakra is twisted and unnatural, didn't you notice?" He looked around at the other two, who hesitantly nodded in response. "I felt it too, but I thought it was only me. You're right, it didn't feel natural for normal ninjas. It was almost like it was demonic and dark energy, like a demon's... but at the same time, it felt normal like a human's," Sakura admitted.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes slightly, "I don't think they were even Shinobi to begin with-"
"Now that you mention it, they did have those swords," Naruto interrupted.
"-or human." These words were spoken quietly, but crashed down like the roar of a wave.
"W-what? You don't think they're human?" Sasuke nodded, "but, you saw them. They looked like humans, not beasts or demons!"
"I know that. But appearances can be deceiving. Their chakra is far from being human, and I don't think even the most twisted and evil ninja could ever have their chakra match up to that. And Hana's brother is suspicious enough; how did he find her so quickly?" Sakura and even Naruto looked puzzled, and for once had nothing to say.
"...So what do we do? It's not like we can start giving them the cold shoulder all of a sudden. That will make us seem suspicious. Plus, if what Hana said is true, she's been through a lot of pain and strife. She was exhausted when we found her, besides, if she was really a demon, why didn't she just start killing everyone? She had that chance with the nurse and us earlier. But instead, she simply sat down, trusted us, and even opened up a little and shared some things about herself."
"I don't know, maybe we could watch them? We'll take turns, that way it'll seem less obvious," Naruto offered.
"Watch them carefully? Not a bad idea Naruto," Sasuke answered, "but we must make sure to take extra caution. I have a feeling they can sense much more then what they let on."
With that the three ninjas began to decide shifts.
Back at the meeting...
"So," the woman, Tsunade asked, "those men you spoke of earlier are after you and your sister."
"Yep," Ketsu replied.
Hana heard the lady sigh and mumble something under her breath, "When do you think they will be here?"
Ketsu paused for a moment, as if trying to sense something. Then he gave a small smile and said, "No worries, they're already here."
I am SO sorry for not updating in so flipping long! I hit a wall because there was three different ways I could have went about this, and then I got side tracked for awhile! I also apologize for not making this longer, and to make up for this, I will make the next one longer. I don't feel satisfied when writing so little and I know its an irritation for you the readers too! Until then, good bye!
