A monster problem!
Chapter 3: Team Dib forms!
"Can any student tell me when the legend of the great Zombie apocalypse began?" Mr. Hack asked his class "and the scientific value it had to over with its diseases?" Dib suddenly shot his arm right into the air, he had the answer in his mind.
"I do!" he said.
"Here we go" Gaz whispered into Cleo's ear.
"The legend of the zombie apocalypse began when a group of scientists began to worry that they could create a man-made disease that could alter human DNA and turn them into mindless flesh-eating zombies!" Dib said, Mr. Hack couldn't believe his ears at Dib's personal explanation and all the other students had their mouths open!
"That's…Correct!" Mr. Hack said "well done Dib!"
"Thank you!" Dib said.
"Does anyone know the origin of the Loch Ness Monster?" Mr. Hack asked and Dib's arm shot up again "yes Dib?"
"The legend of the Loch Ness Monster began when Saint Columba was visiting the Loch one day when he suddenly came across a few people burying a man that was attack by a monster and…" while Dib continued his explanation, Gaz face-palmed herself in embarrassment because her brother knew all there was to monsters and she had no idea that he would do this! Even in a school made for monsters!
"Is your brother always like this?" Cleo asked Gaz.
"You don't know the half of it" she replied as she turned to the mummy "he's super annoying all the time! His voice has no end!"
"I hear you" Cleo said "I have an older sister that acts like she's the boss! It's so annoying!"
"If your sister and Dib entered an 'being annoying contest' he would win" Gaz said, the two snickered at their remark.
"Saint Columba then banished the monster to the far ends of the Loch where the sightings remain to this day" Dib said as he finished his explanation, Mr. Hack and the class began to clap with pride "and if any other question has anything unknown, I know the answer!"
"Hey you're starting to freak me out! We got a live one here folks!" Mr. Hack said, Dib felt great pride and joy in his heart, he knew that this was a place he could feel free and not be judged for who he was or what he knew about the paranormal state of matter!
"So does this mean extra credit?" Dib asked, Mr. Hack didn't shake his head and he just laughed "I guess not".
"At least you knew all the answers" Frankie told him as he sat back down "I've never heard anyone say all the answers to so many legends!"
"It's kind of my thing" Dib said as he nervously blushed and rubbed the back of his head "I usually got teased or get called crazy back in my old school".
"Well, you don't have to worry about that" Frankie said "you can get along with everyone here at Monster High" there was a sudden scream and a student was thrown into a wall, the two looked up to see a angered Gaz and a scared Cleo "well, maybe not your sister".
"Ain't that the truth" Dib said as the two turned back "she never lets anyone get within 20 inches of her! Not even me!"
"Why?" she asked.
"Gaz is a lone wolf, she doesn't really like people" Dib said "she nearly tried to kill her own game rival when we were younger!"
"Why would she do that?" Frankie asked as she went in deeper in Gaz's history.
"Mainly because her rival was a big jerk!" Dib said "and the second reason is because she doesn't care".
"But there must be someone she cares about" Frankie said "what about her dad?" Dib pondered about this for a moment and suddenly realized that she still cared about her dad.
"Well, she still cares about our dad" Dib said, he had no idea that Gaz could hear him.
"Your voice is making me sick!" Gaz shouted from the top row.
"Whatever!" Dib shouted back.
Later…
"Pass it over here!" Heath Burns shouted as he, Clawd, Manny, Deuce and Gil played basketball while Dib observed the skills and techniques of the game.
"Comin' your way!" Manny said as he threw the ball a little too hard, Heath's body collided with the wall and he slumped down to the ground.
"I'm okay!" Heath replied.
"You sure?" Dib asked him from behind the wall, the RAD gave a thumbs up "okay then, my turn!" he jumped over the small wall and stood in the middle of the court.
"So are you sure you got this thing nailed down?" Gil asked him.
"Sure as my dad is obsessed with science!" Dib said, Gil gave a nod and threw him the ball and Dib held out his arms to catch it, only to be thrown against the wall with the force of the ball that was unexplainable.
"Are you okay?" Gil asked, Dib gave a slight groan and lifted his head up and gave Gil a death glare "guess not".
"I was never really good at basketball anyway" Dib said as he got up and brushed himself off "dad always let me stay inside and watch his studies, but I was always the mystery kid".
"Really?" Heath asked.
"Oh yeah! I was so amazed by monsters and the paranormal that led me to become a-"
"Dib! Dad's back to pick us up!" Gaz yelled from the front of the school, Dib nearly jumped out of his skin when Gaz called his name but he kept his calm.
"Sorry guys, got to go" Dib said "thanks for letting me in the game!" the young reptilian was about to run to the front of the school when Clawd asked-
"Wait! What were you talking about when you wanted to become a what!" Clawd shouted but Dib was gone already, the werewolf turned around and went back to his game with his friends "I guess I can ask him tomorrow".
"DIB!" Gaz yelled.
"I'm coming!" Dib replied as he came to his sister next to their dad's car "geez Gaz, couldn't you just wait?"
"Dad said to hurry up" Gaz said as she got in the car "do you really think I could Wait?"
"Good point" Dib said as he got into the car, Prof. Membrane was at the front wheel and he looked in the mirror to see his kids in the back.
"So how was school today kids?" Prof. Membrane asked in the first time in a long time!
"Boring" Gaz said "but Dib was nuisance in class and he got a girlfriend".
"Really?" Prof. Membrane asked, surprised to hear that Dib got a 'girlfriend'.
"Frankie is not my girlfriend!" Dib said "she's just my friend! I'm meeting her at our house today!"
"I'm surprise that you got a friend coming over" Prof. Membrane said "it feels like it's been a long time since a guest came over to our house".
"Actually it's more than one guest" Dib said.
"More than one?" Prof. Membrane asked.
"Try four monsters" Dib replied "they're all coming over today and we're coming to discuss on how to stop Zim!"
"You mean your foreign friend?"
"Zim's not my friend!" Dib said "and he's not foreign! He's an alien!"
"Of course he's an alien son, of course he's an alien" Prof. Membrane chuckled, Dib just groaned and threw his hands up in the air.
"For once, can everyone just believe me!" Dib said.
"Those new friends of yours seemed to believe you" Gaz said.
"That's because they were probably just feeling sorry for me" Dib said as he cupped his face in his hands.
"Oh come on Dib!" Gaz said "they believed every word of you! And did they laugh? No! they believed you!" Dib suddenly felt a bit of success that his sister gave him.
"Who are you and what have you done to my sister?" Dib asked.
"Do want to see if I am your sister?" Gaz asked as she held her fist up to his face.
"Never mind" Dib said "you're real".
Later…
"Just one more thing to perfect" Dib said to himself as he cleaned up his room, the place was a complete mess from his last few weeks of his paranormal studies "don't want to let the others think the place is a mess".
"Dib! Your weird friends are here!" Gaz said as she opened the front door for Frankie, Clawdeen, Dracualura and Cleo "and they brought the fleabag of a dog!"
"Hey!" Clawdeen said "I'll have you know that me and my siblings were de-flea when we met the vet as kids!"
"Whatever" Gaz said as she grabbed her GS2 and began playing it "just get inside so you four and Dib can talk about his stupid paranormal junk and then leave so I can never hear your voices until tomorrow!"
"Gee, that's kind of mean" Draculaura said.
"So what if it was?" Gaz asked her as walked away, Dib came rushing down the stairs and came running to his friends.
"Guys! I'm so glad to see you all-" he was cut off when he realized his new reptilian legs couldn't stop and he ran right into Frankie! The two landed with her on top of him and him as her way to prevent herself from getting hurt, the two nervously blushed at each other and got back up.
"Um…Sorry about that" Frankie said as she rubbed her arm and blushed madly.
"No it was my fault" Dib said as he scratched the back of his head "so...Do you guys want to come in?"
"Yes please!" Frankie said, Dib stood aside and let them in like a gentleman.
"Nice place you got here" Cleo said as she looked around.
"Thanks, I made sure it would be clean before you three got here" Dib said as he closed the door "I'm sure my dad wouldn't mind if you guys looked around, he is always busy at work".
"Thanks Dib!" Draculaura said as she went upstairs and looked to see Gaz's room was wide open, she carefully walked in her room to see various stuffed animals, a few posters featuring video games and one with how the grass stinks and a few game systems and video games stacked on a desk.
"What are you doing here?" Gaz asked from behind her, Draculaura quickly spun around and saw the teenage reptilian/human hybrid with the angriest expression she had on her face that instantly meant leave-now-or-die.
"Your brother said me and my friends could look around and I found your door was open so I came in" Draculaura said with a smile but Gaz wasn't amused.
"Security!" she yelled and the each of the stuffed animals eyes glowed bright red and grew robotic parts, Draculaura watched in fear as one of them grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her out the bedroom, the door slammed instantly and Draculaura got up and ran for her life!
"Help! She's insane!" she screamed as she ran downstairs and into her friends while crying.
"Draculaura what's wrong?" Dib asked her.
"Gaz's toys nearly killed me!" she wailed as she continued crying, Dib lifted his head to Gaz's bedroom door and shook his head.
"I'm very sorry" Dib said "Gaz didn't mean to scare you".
"Yes I did!" Gaz yelled from behind her door, the five just looked up at her door for a while without saying anything until Dib broke the silence.
"How about we go up to my room" he said.
Later…
"Uh...Nice room Dib?" Frankie tried her not to be rude or anything but Dib's room was full of paranormal investigator equipment, various posters of paranormal creatures, tapes of attempted entity captures and a computer locked on all the parts of the neighborhood.
"Thanks" Dib said as he smiled greatly, the four monsters weren't so sure of this situation they got into but it was for their friend and his mission to save the earth.
"So you're a paranormal investigator?" Clawdeen asked.
"Exactly! My job is to find paranormal creatures and prove they exist! Or disprove the fake creatures from the fake ones!" Dib said as he grabbed his chair and sat down and looked at the girls "no offense to you guys or your friends".
"Thanks?" Cleo asked, a little unsure what they were right now doing with a paranormal investigator.
"So anyway, about Zim" Dib began as he turned to his computer and clicked on an image of an alien, the four monsters came up to see it "he's an alien from the planet irk that was assigned to conquer the earth but over the years, I have grown to know all his weakness's".
"And they are?" Clawdeen asked.
"Just water, meat, people, germs, dogs, earth food, dirt, diseases and…"
"Woah, woah, woah! He's weak to all that?" Frankie asked "have you used that against him?"
"Well, only water and meat but that didn't work so well" Dib said as remembered the wettening and bologna incidents "I still feel the bites of the dogs!" he whispered to himself, unaware that the monsters had heard him.
"Bites of the dogs?" Cleo asked.
"Nothing! But! I do have more than his weakness's!" Dib said as brought up the image of his garage with a spaceship in it "a few years ago, an alien known as Tak invaded earth and, belive it or not, me and Zim, GIR and Gaz had to team up to stop her from ruling the earth!"
'Wait, if Zim is your enemy then why was he helping you?" Draculaura asked.
"He said that his mission would be ruined if he didn't take over the world!" Dib said "we won, but Tak's spaceship fell to earth and I had it ever since!"
"That's voltage!" Frankie said "it must be so great to have your own spaceship!"
"It is" Dib said "of course, Gaz will sometimes use it to go to bloaty's pizza hog, and stay there countless hours".
"Your sister must be really fun to have around" Cleo joked.
"Gaz doesn't really like anyone invading her personal space" Dib said "so now, I have his weakness's and a ship but I still need to find out his greatest weak spot!" Frankie wasn't really listening to the last part, she found different pictures on Dib's nightstand that showed him chasing after many different paranormal creatures like Bigfoot, aliens, ghosts and even a robot chicken carrying a cart of wieners!
"Are these all things you chased?" Frankie asked him as she walked over to him and handed Dib the pictures.
"Oh yeah! I remember all these adventures!" Dib said as he examined the photos.
"Even this one?" Clawdeen asked him as she held up a picture of him in restrain straps while staying in an asylum with a picture on the wall that said: HANG IN THERE BABY. The girls began to giggle at the picture while he grabbed it from her hands and placed it in his coat.
"Ignore that one!" Dib said "people got the wrong idea about me in that one!"
"The wrong idea that was you being crazy?" Cleo asked as she giggled.
"Hey! I was only called crazy when I was 9 through 11! Everyone stopped calling me crazy when I turned 12!" Dib said as he sat back down "back to important matters, if we can use Zim's weakness's and catch him in the ship! Then we can send him to an autopsy and save the world!" Dib then imagined him, Frankie, Cleo, Clawdeen and Draculaura sitting in a grand car while a parade celebrated their incredible task of catching the alien that endangered the human race while Zim stood strapped to an autopsy table.
"Dib? Dib? Dib!" Frankie shouted and brought Dib back into reality.
"Thank you Mr. President Man! Me and Frankie are engaged!" Dib sputtered out.
"What?" Frankie asked.
"What?" Dib asked back.
"Never mind" Dib said as he got up "so what do guys say? Partners?" he held out his hand towards Frankie, she kindly shook it.
"Partners!" Frankie said as the hand shake ended.
"Dib! Gaz! I'm home!" Prof. Membrane said as he came through the front door "work was quick today! But I can't stay long! I have a very important meeting at 5:20!"
"Okay dad!" Gaz shouted from her room.
"That's odd" Dib said.
"What is?" Frankie asked.
"Dad would never come home to work early, and if he did then he would close the door quickly!" Dib said "but he-"
The door quickly shut with a loud bang!
"Didn't" he finished.
"And there's a guest for you Dib!" Prof. Membrane said, Dib quickly took off in a flash and rushed down the stairs with Frankie and her friends following him until he stopped dead in his tracks, causing the four monsters to bump into him and each other.
"Dib? You okay?" Frankie asked him, he slowly raised his hand and pointed to something Frankie wouldn't expect to see. It was a girl about Dib's age, wearing a purple and black shirt and black pants, her hair was purple and she had boots, the girl smiled viciously at Dib.
"Hello Dib" she said.
"Tak?!" Dib shouted.
