Allie closed the trunk of her rental car and headed home. She had to pass the road that lead to the old mill bridge and she smiled a bittersweet smile.

"Oh, Mox." she sighed, "How did it come to this?" When she looked at herself in the mirror she no longer recognized the woman staring back at her. She thought by now she would be content with her life. She should be! She had an amazing life, an amazing husband, and everything a woman could ever dream of having. But, all of that meant nothing because she lost herself...somewhere.

Had she lost herself in Jon? Once upon a time, oh yes, she lost herself completely in him. He was her ocean and she gladly drowned herself in him. Letting him fill her senses and overtake her. Once upon a time...that was all she needed. All he needed, too. Now, it felt like everything was different. It felt on some level like they were strangers.

They still made love. Jon still doted on her...when he was home. She was still in love with him, but she felt like she disappointed him by not being able to give him the child he desperately wanted. She wanted a baby too, but in her heart she gave up on that dream months ago. It was too heartbreaking to hold out hope.

Allie pulled the car up the drive to their former home. They had a lot of memories here. Her mind drifted back to the night she drove up here and she and Jon made love for the first time in years. She had a spark inside her that night. A spark only Jon could ignite. Suddenly, she missed him so badly she could hardly breathe. She laid her head on the steering wheel and cried. She wept until all her tears were spent and it was time to turn on the television and watch her husband.

She packed her groceries inside and began putting them away. She flipped on the tv and scrunched up her face when nothing happened. She checked to make sure it was plugged in, and that's when she discovered that a rodent must have chewed through the wire.

After her crying fit earlier, this wasn't exactly what she needed. She wanted to at least be able to see Jon. Didn't look like that was going to happen so she made herself a cup of hot tea and decided to take a relaxing shower and wash the stress of the day away.

Jon felt Hunter's hand on his shoulder, "Knock em dead, kid." he said. Jon gave him a nod. He hadn't had time to talk to Hunter about what was going on. He would after the match. He needed to get his head in the game. All he could do was think of Allie.

His music hit.

Allie.

Walked through the curtain.

Allie.

Looked at the fans...

Allie.

It wasn't until he was flat on his back with Somoa Joe going in for the pin that he managed to bring his thoughts somewhat to the match. He wanted to give the fans a great show. He rarely went to the ropes, but he decided to gain a bit of height and use an elbow.

As he was climbing the ropes, Joe grabbed them at the other end of the ring making Jon lose his balance. Any other time he would've been able to hang on. Any other moment it could have been different.

But, this wasn't any other moment.

Jon's hands and feet slipped from the ropes and he fell backwards. He felt the impact of the steel stairs on his legs, his head hitting the floor. He swore he heard a crack, and then everything went black.
