A/N: And I'm back folks! I know, good to be back. Anyhow, I know its been a while since I last updated which is why I am here now. This is just a drabble and meant to be silly since the prompt of the story is the girls being cats. Second, have any of you heard that God awful song Hello Kitt-
Natsu: Don't you dare! Don't make this into a song fic! D: / PD6: Chill dude, I wasn't going to. I was, however, going to make it into a DRABBLE SERIES because it would be easier to update.
P.S: I also wanted to make a series of one shots around my favorite pairing *cough*Gale*cough* but only if you guys want me too.
P.P.S: A bit of a Gale-shot for the next chapter.
Chapter Title That I Came Up With Just Now: Yarn is a Stereotype.
Mages don't play with yawn (well, most of them don't) and apparently, neither do cats, because the game was just stupid and degrading. Well,at least that's what Lucy-cat thought of the whole thing. Her frustration of course lead to a easily tired-out running gag. Sure, the joke at first was kind of funny, with Natsu dangling a piece of yarn in front of Lucy until she either attacked him violently or just walked away from him with her tail held high in place of using her once-human-hand to flip him off. After a while though, his constant teasing just got annoying, but the pink haired male just wouldn't give up until he at least saw the blonde play with the yarn. Then maybe get a picture or two of it, you know, just for future blackmail/reference. Mainly blackmail though.
"She doesn't like that you know." Pantherlily informed the other from his spot on the couch, watching the other two as if he had nothing better to do, which he didn't for the time being. "Shes already hissed twelve times that she was going to kill you."
Natsu jumped up from his spot on the floor and straightened out when the real cat addressed him. He huffed a bit in defeat and dropped the yarn gently onto Lucy's tiny head and frowned down at her. Then, turning to the cat, he scrunched up his face a touch to look a bit confused, almost seemingly trying too put two and two together,or something like that. It defiantly looked like he was thinking deeply about something.
"Wait, but aren't cats supposed to like string?" Natsu asked, gesturing a hand out to the discarded string that lay carelessly on Lucy's nose. "Levy likes it!"
Pantherlily looked off in the direction he had last seen the blue haired kitten. She was still tangled in a mess of yarn, but seemed to have fallen asleep during her struggle to get out. He wouldn't call that 'liking' it, but then again, he really didn't know what to call it then. Instead, he didn't say anything about the last comment and simply rolled his eyes in response to it.
"A common misconception." The cat stated, hopping off of the couch and walking over to the two. "Also, Levy and Lucy aren't real cats. Remember?"
"Aw, but they look like ones. Especially Lucy." With this being said, the blonde cat was suddenly swept off of the floor and held in front of Pantherlily so he could get a closer look. "See? She even pouts like a kitty does."
"Kittens don't pout! And not all of them play with string either." Two sets of slitted eyes twitched at this.
"Do they like milk at least?" Natsu asked curiously and innocently, maybe even a touch hopefully.
"Yes, but that's not the point." Pantherlily muttered dryly, rubbing the bridge of his kitty nose as he spoke. "The point is that yarn in a misconception."
"So, you're saying that you don't like Yarn?" Natsu asked, casually walking over to a nearby basket and plucking up a ball.
"That is exactly what I'm saying." The darker of the three cats huffed, folding his arms over his chest and frowning.
"So, you mean you wouldn't do anything if I did this?" Natsu said, quickly tossing the ball of yarn at the cat.
It hit him dead center on the chest as he flew back and fall to the floor, with the ball now balancing on his stomach. Pantherlily hissed and knocked the ball off of himself before scrambling to his feet. In this time, Natsu had already reloaded his hands with balls of yarn and rolled one to him this time, trying to coax a reaction from him this time. The ball rolled passed him, and the cat glared at him coldly, not making any move to play with it.
"Hm. Doesn't seem to be working." The pink haired dragon commented, taking note of the cat's reaction. "Would you do it if it was laced with catnip?"
"Not in this life. Or the eight ones after!" Both Pantherlily and Lucy (well, she just meowed) yelped, suddenly waking the sleeping Levy who was now trying to figure out what was going on.
"Why do I doubt that?" Natsu said casually, taking something that looked like a pouch out of his pocket and tucking it into the ball of yarn.
"Whats that?" All the cats were wondering out loud as Natsu tossed this ball of yarn across the room.
A really good scent followed behind it, kind of like every favorite thing of a cat rolled into one thing, and though the cats tried to resist it to save them their own dignity, they gave up at all ran after the yarn at top speed. Three cats jumped at it, clashing heads when they came down, only to recover quickly and all attempt to swat the ball away from the other. During their little fight, the iron dragon re-entered the room, having gone off earlier to do lord only knows what. He blinked curiously when he saw the rather violent play of the cats.
"Um, what the hell did you do?" He asked, turning to Natsu quickly, catching sight of a camera in his hands that hadn't been there before.
"Oh well, you know. Stuff."
