CHAPTER FOUR

Tears traveled down my face as I stared into the face of my enemy, the monster that had been chasing me for hundreds of years, constantly capturing and torturing me just for fun, pulling sick jokes on me by using normal people or aliens. That monster was facing me right now tears traveling down its face, our face…my face. The monster who had done all of those things, had killed all those people who had sadistically killed my family, who had given the Daleks an open path to my planet, it was me.

I screamed jolting awake, my body immediately going on the defensive my right hand reaching for the gun I kept at the small of my back, my eye's flying open scanning my surroundings seeing concrete walls jarred me out of my nightmare induced state but confused me until the memories of what had happened three weeks ago when I had sang the Doctor to sleep and decided to stop at earth filtered through my sleepy and no doubt drugged brain. We had gotten into a time vortex however a hole in the vortex had tossed the TARDIS around and caused her to change directions throwing us right into one of the dark planets. The TARDIS had landed and I didn't think to double check that it was Earth and after grabbing my backpack I had stepped outside and shut and locked the door before putting the key around my neck, then turning to face 'earth' I discovered a large group of disgusting looking mutated things that acted like they wanted me for dinner. The TARDIS sensed danger and took off, I don't blame her for wanting to keep her thief safe I just wish that I had told the Doctor because no doubt he thinks I abandoned him. Hopefully the TARDIS will tell him what happened although since time is non-existent in the TARDIS the Doctor could very well still be asleep at this moment.

A loud screeching sound caught my attention and I was brought back into reality as one of the large concrete slabs moved and two bulbous brown eyes stared at me before a strange clicking and screeching sound which meant that the thing was trying to communicate with me. I wanted to scream at it however instead I took a minute to keep my tone even, "Like I have told you the last hundred and five times that you have done this I do not understand what you are saying nor do I have any idea of what you are or what you want from me." I said. The thing made some more clicking and screeching sounds and I realized that I was beginning to understand their dialect whatever it may be, so either my Time Lord brain was kicking into gear or the TARDIS and Doctor were close to this planet. If my Time Lord brain was kicking into gear then whatever drugs they were using on me was beginning to fail to be of full use however I wasn't about to let them know that. Luckily for me I managed to fall asleep again so I didn't see the concrete slabs fully open, nor did I see what stood just outside of the room that I was chained in, I was lost to the world dreaming again of my past.

Day's blurred together and I was able to fully understand them but I didn't let on hoping that one of them would slip up and tell me where I was or something relevant however that never happened. The creatures grew impatient with me and begin to torture me, changing the temperature from below freezing to above baking temperature. They put me into a maze with sides that were thirty feet high and there was only two feet in-between the maze walls, every-time I faced a dead end the maze would change everything when I collapsed they would change the color and shape of the maze and sometimes I would awake chained to a concrete wall like an animal, things would come out of no-where hitting me causing me to bleed and bruise tearing away at my clothes. Food was only given to me in small three bite pieces which was okay since I didn't need to eat everyday thankfully they never realized that. I continued to look for a way to escape and finally I was able to find one, I pretended to collapse out of exhaustion and waited for them to do whatever they had to do, I had found out a little while back that they were monitoring me by camera however each time they reset the maze they had to shut off the cameras because the cords would break from the walls shifting. Sure enough after a few moments I heard the faint clicks of the cameras shutting off and I went into motion jumping up but staying close to the maze walls as I ran in the direction I had heard the click. Finding the shut off camera which was hidden as a small rectangle 'hole' in the wall I popped out the camera and quickly but carefully pulled the cords out as well until I had a good bit of rope then I cut the cord by using the glass lens from the camera then I followed the wall until I found another camera this one disguised as a lizard which was genius on their part since there were plenty of the creatures that were my constant companions in the maze when the maze was hot. When I had enough cord and cameras I used the cameras breaking them and shaping them into claw like objects that I used to dig into the sides of the walls with, then using the cord to keep the broken glass and sharp edges from cutting into my feet and hands as well as tying the objects to my hands and feet I slowly made my way up the wall.
