I did have some ideas now, so hopefully it will continue coming, but I do hope you enjoy this chapter, it's a little bit short, it will be longr next time! :)
Time Together
Helena woke up by the sight of Myka, sleeping on a chair right beside her. Helena smiled, even though she only knew Myka for a couple of hours, she felt this kind of connection with her, she trusts her. She tried to sit up, but felt a sudden pain all over her body, she made a sound of pain, which woke Myka up.
"Helena, you're awake!" Myka walked towards Helena and helped her up. "You should lie down again."
"It's okay, I can handle it." Helena replied with a smile. "Thanks."
"Do you need anything? Water? Pain medicine?"
"It's alright Myka, I'm starting to feel better." Helena gave her a reassuring smile.
"Alright, just tell me if you need anything."
"I will." Helena smiled.
"You have been unconscious for two hours now, we were worried." Myka explained as she moved the chair closer to Helena's side, and sat on it again.
"I though that was it, I thought it was the end. I knew how dangerous it was being near that artifact, but I just couldn't resist, I wanted to see her face again, badly, and the pain just ate me up." Tears began to fall from Helena's face.
"It's not your fault Helena, stop blaming yourself. You did everything you can."
"Why are you so nice to me? What did I- or the future me ever do, to deserve this kindness from you?" Helena looked up at Myka.
"You have done so much greatness Helena. You saved me, Pete, Artie, you saved our lives. You sacrificed yourself for us, for the warehouse. But I am not kind to you because you saved my life, I am kind to you because you deserve it."
Helena wiped the tears off her face. "Thanks" She gave a small smile.
Myka smiled back. "Tell you what, when you get a lot better, me and the others will give you a tour of the future. There are lot's of things that would interest you."
"Sounds fun!" Helena smiled in excitement.
"The others will be back in an hour or two, they are still out bagging some artifacts."
"I see..." Helena tried to relax, and asked Myka some questions to brake the silence. "So what made you join the warehouse team?" Helena asked.
"Well... I worked at secret service before this... Then something happened." Myka looked down. "And then long story short, I got asked to join the team, and now I'm here." Myka explained.
"I sense a lot of secret behind that story." Helena raised her eyebrow. "But it's alright, I'm not gonna bug you about it." She smiled.
Myka nodded. "I'm- I'm just like this. The future you would probably understand."
"Probably... Tell me do you like reading?"
"Like? I'm obsessed with books! I have been reading all my life. And I am a big fan of your work!" Myka blushed, when she realized her geeky self just came out.
Helena gave a big smile. "That is good to hear. No need to be embarrassed about it darling. I myself tend to have an unhealthy obsessesionwith books too." She touched Myka's hand. "I see why my future self connected with you easily, we have a lot in common."
Myka smiled. "Well, we did, after a few encounters."
"I see, so I have been naughty." Helena grinned, realizing that Myka didn't get a long with her future self quite well, during their first encounters.
Myka laughed. "Yeah... You kissed Pete too." Myka said, still laughing.
"What!? Pete? The guy that was here a while ago?" Helena grimaced.
"Yepp! Right. On. The. Lips." Myka teased.
"Well there must be a good reason for that. He looks like a nice man, but he is not the type of man that I usually go for." Helena shook her head.
"Well you really liked it." Myka bit her lip, refraining herself from laughing.
"Oh do stop the teasing." Helena objected.
Myka laughed a little, and placed both of her hands up. "All right, all right. I'm stopping now miss Wells. I can only imagine when your lips and his lip-"
"Wait a minute... You kissed him too!"
"What? No. Pete is like a brother to me." Myka protested, the smile fading off her face.
"I knew it. Don't test me Myka, I can read people." Helena grinned. It was now her turn to tease.
"It was because of some artifact okay? It was, technically, not me, I think... "
Helena smiled. "If you say so." she said with a tease in her voice.
Myka looked at Helena in the eyes and smiled. "Alright we should stop. Poor Pete." Both of them laughed for a bit.
"Thank you for staying here with me." Helena said, when they stopped laughing.
"No problem." Myka squeezed Helena's hand.
They spent about two hours talking about their interests, their favorite books, their lives and about their experience in the warehouse. Helena asked Myka a lot of things about the future, and Myka asked about the past. They enjoyed each others company until the others came back. Claudia ran over Helena and gave her a hug.
"H.G.! You're awake." Claudia ran towards Helena, and attacked her with a hug.
Helena was caught in surprise with the hug, but returned it back, knowing the girl meant what she said. "Thank you darling."
"Good to see you okay HG" Pete commented from behind. And Artie stood and smiled at her.
They gathered around Helena and talked to her. Asked her things, and she asking them back.
"We all should get some rest, and we will see tomorrow if Helena is strong enough to go out and see the future." Myka said after a few minutes.
"I can't wait! I will take you to this awesome store!" said Claudia.
As the others went off to bed, Myka brought some blankets and gave it to Helena.
"Sorry about Claudia, she is clearly treating you as the future HG" Myka said as she handed Helena the extra blankets.
"It's alright. She is a lovely girl." Helena smiled.
"Now that you are all set. I will go and try to get some sleep. Do you need anything before I go?"
"No, it's alright. Thank you." Helena smiled.
"Alright then." Myka turned around and headed for the door.
"Goodnight Myka." said Helena as Myka opened the door.
"Goodnight Helena." Myka replied with a smile, and closed the door behind her.
